Christmas Countdown - 2013

I have never had one. Over here it is encouraged and offered to over 60 year olds and pregnant women. You can pay for it at a pharmacy though.

here they are free to everyone, we just have to head out to a clinic and get one.

Morning! it's raining a lot here these days but very mild in temperature. This week I am trying to continue with my ''to do '' list. The children are off school next week. I honestly can not believe we are almost in November! Once November starts , I'll be honest I just want it to slow down a bit.

Well Christmas is appearing more and more everywhere and I love it. I can't wait to get to the fun things on my list like shopping, decorating, sending cards. Are you all taking part in the card exchange???

By the way ,I forgot to wish my Canadian friends a belated Happy Thanksgiving! How did your day turn out? Hope it was special.

Strange. We're at 9c or 7c (48f/45f) with windchill here in Ottawa. Funny how the weather systems can make it a little warmer further north. Enjoy your short day, Star!

Good morning everyone!

It's a Tuesday morning. 'Pines Day is so close. And we're a day closer to our next goal - the beginning of the Christmas Season! I stopped in at the grocery store beside our apartment yesterday and did not see much in the way of Christmas. Only candles and other Holiday scents. Perhaps they will do their full Christmas makeover on November 1st? I recall a few years ago they did just that. Christmas decorations and music could be enjoyed right after Halloween. It seemed a little early, but I wasn't complaining!

No real plans for today. Hopefully the day goes quickly at work, but we shall see. Other than that, I have hockey this evening at 10pm. A little late. At least it is not 11pm as it were last week. It's difficult to fall asleep after playing so late!

Yesterday was OK. Work went by well and the gym was a good time. I can't complain. Well, not much more to discuss on my end. I hope that everyone has a great Tuesday! The Season begins another three days from tomorrow. Another reason to look forward to 'Pines Day! I can't wait to see what Carl has in store until then!

Good morning MMC community! I hope you all had a better night's sleep than I did because the fire alarm in my house went on at around 3.30am. All the people of our house started checking detectors in every room to identify which one is activated. After we found it, we managed to silent the alarm before firefighters came. Of course, there wasn't any fire and, fortunately, firefighters didn't come. Anyway, I found it hard to sleep afterwards because for couple of seconds I thought there really was a case of fire. Anyway, I'm now having stronger than usual coffee and going to the library to hopefully do some work on other university essays.

Good morning!
It is going to be cloudy today with a high of 64 degrees.
Woke up with another headache today, not a great way to start the day. They have been chronic lately, I really wish I knew what was causing them. Anyway, I can't let it slow me down. After everyone is off to school and work I am going to walk the dogs. Then they have a groomer appointment this morning. I think I will run to the supermarket for a few things while they are there. I don't think I will be able to get to the gym until after lunch. Oh I got on the scale this morning and I'm down 4 pounds so far from cutting out all of the junk! After school my daughter has to run up to her new job to fill out some paperwork, I will probably take a ride with her. She is really excited about this one. She's going to be working in Juicy Couture, cute stuff for girls in there. And then back home to make chicken pot pies for dinner, my youngest has been asking me to make them.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Hope your head feels better soon- headaches are miserable. Wonder if it's the weather change?

Hope M & M's grooming appointments go well, and that the paperwork goes smooth for your daughter.

Good morning all!!! It's a little chilly here in North Carolina, but I love it. Not much going on today but work then DD has soccer practice tonight. I do love to watch her play, but I sure will be glad when she is done for the season so I can be home in the evenings( at least for a couple of weeks before basketball starts for the 2 oldest). I think I will take a notebook with me this evening and start making my lists!!

Good evening!
I had a busy afternoon and evening. I went to the gym with my daughter earlier so she could show me around. We went on the treadmill, elliptical and the recumbent bikes. I think I like the bike the most, probably because I could sit down! We went on some other machines too. I don't think I'll be going to any of the classes yet. I really don't think i would be able to keep up with the instructors. I'll see how it goes. I'm happy she came with me today and I think I'll be comfortable enough to go alone tomorrow. I also had several errands to run after dinner. So I'm ready for bed now. My legs feel kind of achy right now. I'm probably really going to feel it tomorrow.

Another Monday done, day off tomorrow. After the kids get out of school and my wife gets home we will be heading to pick a few pumpkins. We are a little late doing it this year, we have been so busy every weekend. We won't be having any snow in the forecast, but it is suppose to be in the mid-twenties by the end of the week. We may have to turn on the heat for the first time this fall.

Sorry your sleep was interupted but glad there was no fire!!! I cleaned our oven last night - it was setting off our smoke alarm every time I made a pizza in it. :lol:

I agree - time can slow down once November hits! (Except my time at work...Ha ha! )
