Good evening!
I had a busy afternoon and evening. I went to the gym with my daughter earlier so she could show me around. We went on the treadmill, elliptical and the recumbent bikes. I think I like the bike the most, probably because I could sit down! We went on some other machines too. I don't think I'll be going to any of the classes yet. I really don't think i would be able to keep up with the instructors. I'll see how it goes. I'm happy she came with me today and I think I'll be comfortable enough to go alone tomorrow. I also had several errands to run after dinner. So I'm ready for bed now. My legs feel kind of achy right now. I'm probably really going to feel it tomorrow.

Last night, we attended a dinner in honor of the Elks State President. Dinner was so good. The President got up to give some after-dinner comments and began a speech talking about a person in our District. I was listening and he said this person was initiated into the Elks in 2003 and immediately was elected Leading Knight and served as Exalted Ruler in 2004. George and I were trying to think who that was. He leaned over and said that almost sounds like you, but not quite. Then the State President went on to say, “She served as Piggy Bank Chairman and then later as Publicity Chairman before becoming Piggy Bank Chairman again. She spearheaded a cookbook project to raise money for the Piggy Bank Project that netted over two thousand dollars to help kids with special needs. Her 22-year -old daughter Tiffany suffered a stroke as she was giving birth, and this Elk’s granddaughter was born with cerebral palsy. This Elk has carried on Elkdom, even in the face of her battle with cancer.” He said so many other nice things, but I was crying so much, that I don’t remember all the nice words. I was completely taken by surprise, and was called up to the stage to receive a special pin that is only given to 19 people in California and Hawaii. I also received a framed commendation. It was almost overwhelming! I am still speechless, believe it or not!!!

I have some news!
We just bought a house!!!

And we have to move in by December 1st!
So I can't start Christmas in November as usual this year....

The house we are moving into is outside the City, on the countryside with view to the mountains, woods and fjord
(but just ten minutes away from here)

We are so happy! :-D

Great day here today! I feel like we are starting to hit a routine, things are settling down (somewhat), and we are making some progress.

We are going to have a busy rest of the week, but we are going to take some pictures on Saturday. I'm also hoping that I can talk Dr. Wifey into taking Little Bambina and Granny to Hobby Lobby. We haven't been in a month!!!! A MONTH!!!!!

I'm pretty zapped, so I'm off to bed. yall have a good one! Hope I didn't miss anything because I didn't get to read all of the pages...but one more thing....


Solice, congrats on the house...I remember the excitement when we moved a couple of years ago. We moved the weekend of Thanksgiving. We moved the Christmas stuff first and put it in a special place so we knew where it was...as soon as we got where we could function....the Christmas stuff went up! Enjoy!

Hey everyone! I was camping this week when I got an urgent call from home, so when I got there I found out my mom died suddenly Saturday morning and I am just leaving now Utah to go up to Portland to go the funeral and I may not be around here for a few days maybe longer but just wanted to ask for prayers cause I need em!!! I have now lost my mom and dad and I just did not see it happening at all this fast! talk to yall guys later!

I am so sorry for your loss, Neal. You and your family are in my thoughts

Another Monday done, day off tomorrow. After the kids get out of school and my wife gets home we will be heading to pick a few pumpkins. We are a little late doing it this year, we have been so busy every weekend. We won't be having any snow in the forecast, but it is suppose to be in the mid-twenties by the end of the week. We may have to turn on the heat for the first time this fall.

We are a little late doing it this year, we have been so busy every weekend. We won't be having any snow in the forecast, but it is suppose to be in the mid-twenties by the end of the week. Good morning MMC community! I hope you all had a better night's sleep than I did because the fire alarm in my house went on at around 3.30am. All the people of our house started checking detectors in every room to identify which one is activated. After we found it, we managed to silent the alarm before firefighters came. Of course, there wasn't any fire and, fortunately, firefighters didn't come. Anyway, I found it hard to sleep afterwards because for couple of seconds I thought there really was a case of fire. Anyway, I'm now having stronger than usual coffee and going to the library to hopefully do some work on other university essays.

any one here get a flu shot? I did not get it last year, but now that I am working with the public again I think I will get it this time.

I have never had one. Over here it is encouraged and offered to over 60 year olds and pregnant women. You can pay for it at a pharmacy though.

I am glad you had a good experience at the gym. It can be daunting at first. Don't worry the aches and pains will get better after a awhile. Have fun and enjoy it today.

Morning! it's raining a lot here these days but very mild in temperature. This week I am trying to continue with my ''to do '' list. The children are off school next week. I honestly can not believe we are almost in November! Once November starts , I'll be honest I just want it to slow down a bit.

Well Christmas is appearing more and more everywhere and I love it. I can't wait to get to the fun things on my list like shopping, decorating, sending cards. Are you all taking part in the card exchange???

By the way ,I forgot to wish my Canadian friends a belated Happy Thanksgiving! How did your day turn out? Hope it was special.

Good morning!
It is going to be cloudy today with a high of 64 degrees.
Woke up with another headache today, not a great way to start the day. They have been chronic lately, I really wish I knew what was causing them. Anyway, I can't let it slow me down. After everyone is off to school and work I am going to walk the dogs. Then they have a groomer appointment this morning. I think I will run to the supermarket for a few things while they are there. I don't think I will be able to get to the gym until after lunch. Oh I got on the scale this morning and I'm down 4 pounds so far from cutting out all of the junk! After school my daughter has to run up to her new job to fill out some paperwork, I will probably take a ride with her. She is really excited about this one. She's going to be working in Juicy Couture, cute stuff for girls in there. And then back home to make chicken pot pies for dinner, my youngest has been asking me to make them.

nice to know your alarms are working well, ours are not connected to the fire department, we actually have to call them if needed. Thank goodness, they would not be impressed if they had to come over every time we burned something on the stove ! LOL
A sudden waking like that gets your heart going so fast it is hard to go back to sleep again.
