Most folks have their own ideas about hunting, but it's dangerous for non-hunters to inject themselves in between an armed hunter and a cornered bear. As a hunter myself, I rely on the fact that the DNR sets seasons and yearly limits to control populations and limit starvation and disease. Even though I like to hunt, I don't know if I could shoot a bear, just because we always look forward to seeing them in the mountains.

I hope you enjoy the trip to Cades Cove. I'm glad the parks re-opened in time for you! Enjoy that stogie!

I certainly have no problem with hunting. We stayed out of the confrontation. Like you, I don't think I could pull the trigger on a helpless bear up in a tree. Not much sport in that. Of course it would be different if I needed the meat.

kitchen clean, leftovers heating in the oven. Dessert is half eaten because everyone just had to try it right away! Oh well, as my daughter says, it is a backwards day today.

I am having a great Monday, so far. Had a friend over for tea this morning, got some shopping done, made a chocolate lasagna (thanks Seawaters for the recipe!) the kitchen is almost clean again.
Glad yours was better than you thought it would be.

I'm hanging in there!! I haven't been good about following the doctor's very good though. So I might get yelled at when I go back to the doctor on the 5th.

everyone tried it before supper! We all liked it except for the choc chips on top, next time I am going to use shaved chocolate, the chips did not go well with the smooth texture of the rest of the recipe. It was delicious!
