Well, some idiot (me) gets on here two days ago and talks about finding a routine.....

baby hasn't slept but about two hours the past two nights....

I could feel you "been there, done that" parents laughing at me.

Tonight, GO SOX. I love the Sox.....even better....I hate the Cards. This makes it so much more interesting to watch.

Baby newborn pictures tomorrow....hehe...excited.

I would never laugh at you, there is nothing funny about sleep deprivation! It may be a little too soon for a schedule, but she will get there. When I brought my baby home I remember being told to sleep when you can, eat when you remember and shower if you're lucky! Everything will fall in to place.
Looking forward to the pictures!

Ha, I remember those days, I've been there, done that, twice my friend, (I didn't learn the first time)!

Funny part though, I wouldn't mind going back; I'd take the little sleep, poopy diapers, bottle feeding and wet burps, over teenagers, dating and where are they, who are they with any day of the week....lol~ Cherrish these days....

I would go back and do it all over again too. In a heartbeat!

sitting here planning this Saturday's Halloween party listening to Christmas music. It's a very holiday like day with clouds, wind, and dropping temperatures. Makes me think of days when I would be out Christmas shopping. Have a great day everybody!

With November almost here I am sure those shopping days will be here very soon!

We are down, almost, to the one week count until Halloween. Anyone going to watch scary movies between now and then? If so, which ones? I think we are going to watch the Conjuring this weekend.

This weekend will definitely be Halloween themed for us. Lately I have been watching sort of scary things on TV like Sleepy Hollow and Bates Motel.

I forgot to wrote this in my earlier post, my oldest is starting to question the existence of Santa Claus.
When my wife was getting ready to leave for work this morning, he kept asking her if she is really Santa Claus. Her response was classic, "Do I look like a jolly fat guy?" But he kept asking if she was the one that brought the presents.
I knew this wasn't going to last forever, but it is really sad that my oldest is starting to not believe in Santa anymore. I truly believed until I was 13-14 years old. I don't want to tell him yet, I was hoping to get through one last Christmas with him truly believing. Hopefully he won't question it again for a little while, but reality is coming and we must let him know probably sooner rather than later.
This has really upset me, I am not ready for him to not believe anymore. I just really don't want him to ruin it for his little brother. I still believe in Santa Claus, and I need to let him know that Santa was a real person and we have to keep his legacy going.

I understand how difficult this is. I am also not looking forward to this day. I hope to make the boys understand that Santa represents the spirit of Christmas and that is something we must always believe in. That magical Christmassy feeling of excitement we get is Santa and ours to hold onto for as long as we like. It must be so heart breaking for you.

I remember finding out but never said anything to my mum and kept it up for her. Till this day my mum always leave presents from Santa to my brother and I.

I am going to have to pick up the book "The Santa Club" that was reviewed here a few years ago, and let him read it to try to not ruin it for his brother. http://christmasfinest.com/2011/09/10/book-review-the-santa-club/

Well, I am going to try to go to work.
The Aleve seems to have worked and I will give it a shot.

Have a great day, talk to you all tonight.

Glad to hear your back improved . I hope you are much better today.

Good morning everyone! I want to thank all for their kind words. I guess that sometimes bad days do happen and we just have to go through them. Anyway, I will try not to have such moments anymore. I had two massive mugs of tea last night while chatting with my friend. Later on, the other friend joined. (I'm not sure if he is a friend, but we live in the same house and he's such a kind guy.) He is very good, in general, in cheering people up so it was very nice. My evening turned out to be amazing. :] And I'm thankful one more time to everyone on MMC! I appreciate you all!

Have a nice day! Best wishes!

The bad days make us appreciate the good ones a lot more :) Glad you had a lovely evening and feel better in spirit!

Morning!

It is dry, sunny and crisp today. The first day that it has stopped raining for the last couple weeks. The rain will resume tomorrow with heavy downpours.

I took the opportunity to walk out to the shops with my youngest after taking my other to school. I bought some sweets for trick or treating. I also got a few things for the children's Halloween goody bag like Halloween sticker and activity books, glow in the dark swords , Smurfs Sleepy hallow and a few other little treats. I always give them a little goody bag on Halloween just like I do on Christmas Eve.

I am slowly getting through some little jobs around the house this week which is good. The electric fire stopped working this morning, hopefully DH will be able to sort it later.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.

Good Morning, Perpetually Perplexed Post-'Pines People.
Yes, some (should I say most) of Carl's antics can be perplexing all right.

But nothing is more perplexing than the rapidity of our count's decline.
Behold:
Days to Halloween: 7 (ONE WEEK from TODAY!)
Days to the Season: 20 (Under 3 weeks away!)
Days to Christmas Day: 62 (Under 9 weeks away!)
Gee, Guys!

Well, we tremble on the threshhold of cold weather, just hours away now. It had to come sooner or later but I always prefer later.
This morning, we have opened at a rather chilly 41 degrees under a clear sky.

You have a Thrilling Thursday my Friends, and may the spirit of the Christmas Season be with you today and always.

Hello all!!! Just popping in to say hi. I never intend to stay away as long as I do, I hope everyone is well. Have a great day and upcoming weekend!

bad days will continue to happen wether we want them or not, you just learn to deal with them gracefully sometimes, other times not so gracefully, but we do learn over time. Friends are great to lean on in those times!
((((HUGS))))

forgot to mention, you can take her to bed with you, tuck her in and she will sleep great. No you will not rollover on her, I have had all my kids sleep with us at that age and never once did we squish them. Nice thing is if she is being nursed all mom has to do is snuggle close and baby does not fully wake up, neither does mom. It is comforting for baby to be with you and they sleep better. We did not do it often or for very long, but for those times when no one was getting any sleep it was a great solution!

I still have to pick up the halloween treats, maybe today when we are in London.

Good morning everyone!

The 'Pines provided yet another memorable Wednesday. Great job, Carl! And now we're only two work days from the weekend. Today marked the first day in which I awoke to negative temperatures. -1c and -4c with windchill. It still wasn't even that bad. My toque/knit hat, and a sweater were all I needed to keep me warm. I think I will be getting used to such morning temperatures. It's pretty much the same for the long-term forecast.

A quiet evening last night. I had good time at the gym. Kim re-joined me, but only managed to use the elliptical after tweaking her back last Friday. At least she's coming to the gym though. It's a good start. Then, we had dinner and watched TV. Speaking of TV, I have yet to see my first Christmas commercial. As I have mentioned in previous years, I don't watch much TV, unless it is sports-oriented, so I miss Christmas commercials. I'm keeping my eyes peeled now though. I always find that they start around this time of the year.

No plans for the weekend quite yet. We'll have to play it by ear, I guess. No plans, in my opinion, does mean that I should be able to do some Christmas searching. It has been far too long since I have contributed to the Blossoms thread. I need to get on that!

Anyway, have a great Thursday, everyone! The final weekend of October is fast approaching!
