Beautiful Star!!!!!! I wish it would have stuck here!!! The little bit that did melted when the lawn company came through and mowed the grass. Which I have to say, I think this is the first time I ever seen people mowing grass in the snow!!
I laughed when I read that because there was a guy mowing the lawn in London (not snowing there) but mom and I were chuckling and saying it would be the last time this season he would be doing that.

Good luck on your projects tonight!!

Stay warm & safe too, friend!!

((Hugs)) to you & Palmer!!

You, too, snowflake! {{{hugs}}} to you and Har!

I just checked the long range forecast for here and there are two chances of snow flurries in the next 4 weeks - lots of rain, though. Looks like a rather dreary November - good time to work on Christmas crafts! cheesy

Morning!

It is dry, sunny and crisp today. The first day that it has stopped raining for the last couple weeks. The rain will resume tomorrow with heavy downpours.

I took the opportunity to walk out to the shops with my youngest after taking my other to school. I bought some sweets for trick or treating. I also got a few things for the children's Halloween goody bag like Halloween sticker and activity books, glow in the dark swords , Smurfs Sleepy hallow and a few other little treats. I always give them a little goody bag on Halloween just like I do on Christmas Eve.

I am slowly getting through some little jobs around the house this week which is good. The electric fire stopped working this morning, hopefully DH will be able to sort it later.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.

I'm glad that you got a break from the rain! I know that I hate if the weather is dreary all of the time. I love the idea of goodie bags for Halloween! My grandmother used to do that for me when I was a little girl. It was always such a nice surprise - especially since I always got so loaded up with candy afterwards when I went trick or treating! I hope that you got the electric fire sorted out!

Hello all!!! Just popping in to say hi. I never intend to stay away as long as I do, I hope everyone is well. Have a great day and upcoming weekend!

Hello, SIT! It is so nice to see you. I know the feeling. I always tell myself to come online but I never have the time! Take care!

gotta go, off to London and St Thomas with mom
Have a great day everyone!

Praying for safe travels! Hope you and your mom are well!

Good morning all. Have a great Thursday!

I hope you had a wonderful Thursday!

Good morning everyone!

The 'Pines provided yet another memorable Wednesday. Great job, Carl! And now we're only two work days from the weekend. Today marked the first day in which I awoke to negative temperatures. -1c and -4c with windchill. It still wasn't even that bad. My toque/knit hat, and a sweater were all I needed to keep me warm. I think I will be getting used to such morning temperatures. It's pretty much the same for the long-term forecast.

A quiet evening last night. I had good time at the gym. Kim re-joined me, but only managed to use the elliptical after tweaking her back last Friday. At least she's coming to the gym though. It's a good start. Then, we had dinner and watched TV. Speaking of TV, I have yet to see my first Christmas commercial. As I have mentioned in previous years, I don't watch much TV, unless it is sports-oriented, so I miss Christmas commercials. I'm keeping my eyes peeled now though. I always find that they start around this time of the year.

No plans for the weekend quite yet. We'll have to play it by ear, I guess. No plans, in my opinion, does mean that I should be able to do some Christmas searching. It has been far too long since I have contributed to the Blossoms thread. I need to get on that!

Anyway, have a great Thursday, everyone! The final weekend of October is fast approaching!

Definitely some chilly temperatures! We were around 30 degrees Fahrenheit as well. I wish it were warmer! I'll pray that Kim's back feels better - that's never fun to deal with. I hope you had a wonderful Thursday!

Good morning!
Just popping in quick to say hello. I am leaving in a few minutes to bring Maggie to the vet. Her cough has flared up again and she had a bad night. Then back home to wait for FedEx to deliver a new Iphone for my daughter. She's having problems with the one she just got a couple of months ago and they are sending her a new one. I hope I don't miss the delivery while I'm at the vet! I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Aw, poor Maggie. I hate to hear that she is suffering. She will be in my prayers! I don't like waiting for deliveries when I have somewhere to be. I dealt with that yesterday when my tablet was being shipped to my house. Keep us updated on Maggie! Hope your day turned out well!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Our weekly pilgrimage to nearby Statesboro for dance, guitar & Wal-Mart was uneventful, for the most part. We rode all over town trying to find camouflage for the kids. It's "Spirit Week" at school, leading up to Homecoming this weekend. Each day, they allow different dress, (Tacky Day, Camo Day, etc.) and today is camo day. All the kids are excited to be able to wear anything other than the uniforms LOL.

I hope y'all have a great day!

I used to love Spirit Week at school! We used to have a decade day, a school spirit day, a favorite sports team day....hm I can't remember the rest. I hope you had a great day!

We had our first frost, too, but not as much. I got all sorts of comments about wearing my winter coat to walk Jude to school, but hey - it's 35 degrees, so I don't care if it's October! I need to be WARM!!! I love this weather!

I SHOULD be getting ready to go volunteer at Jude's school but I'm wondering if I will actually go today.. up lots of the night with a coughing little guy, coupled with these chilly temps and wind makes me want to just snuggle up at home for the AM.... hmmm..

Awww! Hope the little guy feels better. Coughs are never fun! I think it sounded like the perfect day to stay at home with some blankets and hot chocolate!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's a chilly morning here but we are headed to a high in the lower 50's. Then tonight we are going to drop into the upper 20's. Brrr!!! Another day of just sitting around doing some work on the computer for me. I also need to work on my grocery list. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes!!! Upper 20s? That reminds me to look at my weather app to see what it is going down to here tonight. Hope you had a good day - stay warm!

So, here I am at work, immigration officials swarming all over the place trying to apprehend a groom whose visa is decidedly suspect!! Trying to eat my birthday cake at the same time but leaving little chocolate crumbs all over my desk - very professional!!!

The city has started putting up its Christmas decorations. I've taken a picture but instead of it saying "Merry Christmas from Dundee City" it looks all pixillated and warped. You may still get it anyway and you can decide!!

I'd planned on treating myself to a pumpkin spice latte but as my feet haven't crossed the threshold since I got in the morning, that will have to wait till another time!

Not planning on anything special tonight but I think we're going out for dinner at the weekend (any excuse, eh?!) Bruce made my birthday cake - he's on vacation here for a week before going back to his Grade 2/3 class next week. Came home last night and he presented me with a devil's food cake!!!! He and Betty Crocker did well!!!!!!!!!!!! So, breakfast was chocolate cake as I didn't want to start it until today!!!

Is it just me or is it every way you turn at the moment, Christmas is creeping ever closer??!!! About time too!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hey, it's your day - you can leave crumbs wherever you want. The Betty Crocker Devil's Food Cake is one of my absolute favorite! Hope you enjoyed and that your day was extra special. I agree - Christmas is always creeping closer!

Hey all!!

Can you believe only 2 months until Christmas Eve...: I have my 7 y/o home with me today...she woke up with a slight fever and a bit of a cold so she is actually watching a Barbie Christmas right now.. I do have my Christmas music going while I am working.

Had to turn my heat on this morning only 62 this morning in the house. Here in CT it is only 43 degrees and we supposed to get a frost tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Woo hoo! 2 months away til my fave day of the year! I hope your little one feels better! Hope your day turned out well!

Wow! Is that normal October weather ?! I live in a mountain region and the earliest dusting we have had is 28th of October and it just dusts the peaks!!! I love snow

It's normal here. We had a blizzard on Halloween when I was little!

made, we are both in the same weather system.
We have had power go out once already and am preparing for it to go out again, with all this wet heavy snow and so many leaves on the trees it is not a good mix.
I does however look very nice! Love your pictures

Stay safe! You'll be in prayers. Wet snow is never a good thing!

Praying for those who have sick kiddos & fur kids Hope they feel better soon!!

xx

You're so sweet to everyone! I second what you said!

Good afternoon, MMC!

There was a good frost last night - my gardens are officially done now and the majority of the leaves on the walnut trees dropped this morning. Snowing walnut leaves is an apt description! We have had rain, sleet, freezing rain, and more rain so far today. Now the sun is out again, but it isn't doing much to take the chill out of the air.

I am working on projects this evening - fun stuff, but a lot of busy work involved. I'm already yawning so that doesn't bode well for later on when I really get into things. I think I will listen to the Beach Boys Christmas CD - that ought to get me moving!

Be MERRY!!

You've had some crazy weather today, just like me! It was just sleeting really bad here. I hope you enjoy working on your projects - take breaks and relax a little. Now you've made me want to listen to a Christmas CD. Have a good night!!

Hmm, what to make for dinner?

Pasta! It's what I am feeling for. Then let me know when it's done and I'll stop over!

Boo to the rain! I would rather see beautiful flurries than that. I agree - stay in, craft, and relax!!

I always say that I am going to start coming on here all of the time and then my busy life comes and creeps up on me! So I am just going to say that I am going to TRY to come on more often. I don't like just popping in for November and December!

I went to a career fair a couple of weeks ago and the response has been really great. I had an interview yesterday and I think I nailed it. The only problem is the position turned out to be commission only with no benefits, so I'll pass if they offer it to me. I had two other companies contact me so I am looking forward to the future!

The mole on my arm did turn out to be potentially pre-cancerous. The dermatologist said that the biopsy showed that cells were abnormal and that I had to come back to have more cut out. I swear I have 20 stitches at least. I am going to have a nasty scar!! I do have an appointment coming up with the cardiologist. My heart rate is always very high - usually in the upper 80s or low 90s. I have had plenty of ECGs done but I just want his opinion to see if I need any medication. It's more of a rather safe than sorry situation. I want to get that taken care of before the holidays so I can relax for the next couple of months! My grandpa also has afib back again so he is going to have to have another electrical cardioversion in early Dec. Aside from him everyone has been doing well!

We had frost, snow, sleet, rain, freezing rain...a nice mix today lol!! I am looking forward to some snow for Christmas - a girl can hope!!

Hope you all are doing GREAT! :)

LOL!!! I actually made penne with Italian sausage. So come on by!!!

HmG, how is Maggie doing? I hope she is better!

Maggie just started her medicine. The veterinarian put her on an antibiotic in case there's an infection and another pill that will help to open her airways. If she doesn't improve I will bring her in for an xray. The poor thing. She's exhausted, the vet stresses her out. She's been snuggled up on her blanky. Hopefully tonight will be a better night. Thank you so much for asking! xo

I don't know if I told this to everyone, but I had my house up for sale from the end of June to the end of September and it didn't sell. I wasn't too happy/ satisfied with my previous realtor which also added to the reason (among others) why I pulled it off the market.

So, a couple of nights ago, out of the blue, I got a phone call another realtor from a different agency, and I got this feeling from her and so today I just signed the contract to put it back on the market, get this--- on Halloween!!!

I saw her number before come across the caller ID, but I just didn't answer the phone. So I asked her why was she so persistent. She said that she liked the area and that she had a feeling about our home. I told her congratulations, she's the lucky one to represent selling our home...

Wish us luck this go around, because I'm sort of rolling the dice here...
