Back from the beach and ready to roll!

Let's check on today's numbers:
Days to Halloween: 3 (Under half a week. Have mercy!)
Days to the Season: 16 (Two weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 58 (Eight weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
(That Halloween figure is really scary!)

Great weather at the beach and we should get close to 70 here in Raleigh today with no rain in the forseeable forecast.
Right now, we have 48 degrees here in the capital city to start a new week.

Good morning, MMC!

I did not sleep very well and have been up since 3:08. On the plus side I did get some work done already this morning! Yesterday I spent the majority of my time trying to fix something in the house - not so fun, but a necessary job. Today I get to run errands - there are a few things I need to pick up for storage purposes and I need to drop some books off at the library. I love that place! Then if time permits, I am off to Bronner's with my cousin. She has been having a rough time of late and being in that store makes her feel good. Makes me feel good, too! When I get back home there will be a pile of chores waiting for me. It will be good to work off the cupcake at I have been hearing calling my name since this trip has been planned. cheesy

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a busy (and cold!) weekend we had. Jacob and I got up at daylight Saturday to go hunting, but we didn't see anything. Later that evening, he was scheduled to work with the Junior Chamber of Commerce, manning the popcorn booth at the outdoor "Movie in the Park". They played "Night at the Museum", and it was very neat, but it was 47° by the time the movie was over. Brrrr!

Yesterday afternoon, we were in Statesboro all day with Elizabeth, for her Nutcracker practice. What happened to those days when you just plopped down on the couch and watched a movie?

Sleep, why is it that it seems (at least with me), that the older I get, the more trouble I have with going to and staying asleep? Mecka, your not alone, I've been dealing with that myself for awhile also...

Maybe it's just me and that I'm internally stressed out, due to the reality of turning 50 in 2 weeks... Oh Brother, where does the time go????

Sleep, why is it that it seems (at least with me), that the older I get, the more trouble I have with going to and staying asleep? Mecka, your not alone, I've been dealing with that myself for awhile also...

my daughter was laughing the other day when I showed her the other day that I had 9 songs on my iphone, all Christmas. She is going to help me to do more later today.

I loaded all my digital Christmas music into iTunes in my laptop back in August, and fixed the tags, groupings, artwork, and playlists the way I wanted them. The idea is that I should be able to just sync my device to my laptop later this week and---instant Christmas season! It's also been VERY useful as I've been putting together my playlists for Kringle Radio. I can just scroll through and see what I have at my fingertips! And I'm looking forward to pairing a device with a Bluetooth speaker and hitting "shuffle" as we wrap gifts.

And the MP3s are only a fraction of our Christmas music ... we have LPs, cassettes, and CDs that haven't been digitized. Must dig deeper into those and get to know them again.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high in the low 60's. Then tomorrow the rain is supposed to start. Not much going on here today. I have a few things that I want to get done but nothing to exciting. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Good morning! It sure is Monday! This morning seems to be dragging on forever! I'm sure I won't have time to catch up on everything since Thursday (I was away from this place way too long) - so I'm going to jump in here to wish you all a Merry Day & catch up on what I can!!

We went to Ben Franklin Saturday. My friend bought a dvd with 4 Chrismtas movies & I bought a cd - Christmas Harp Music. We listenend to it on the way home! :grin: And now I have TSO in my car's cd player. LOVE IT!

Last night was the Holiday open house/Ladies night at the hardware store. We had a blast again. Such cool stuff!! Snowmen everywhere!!!

My hubby even went along this year. Another couple came with us too & we met my sister there. Fun time!!
