Good morning everyone!
It's only 2c/36f (feels like -1c/30f) in Ottawa, but it felt a little warmer this morning. Something must be playing tricks on me... It must be those crazy Halloween spirits! Strangely enough, the weather here in Ottawa should be warming up for a couple days. Temperatures are to reach a wet 13c today and 15c tomorrow. Nothing wrong with a little mid-to-upper 50s highs in October and November!
Happy Halloween, everyone! Crown said it best. It's the first of four holidays as we head into the latter portion of the year. And, of course, after today, we can all expect a full transformation into Christmas mode for many of the stores and shops. I think that's something that can help make us at least a little bit excited.... OK. VERY excited!
Now, I guess the big thing is no longer which stores will be decorated for Christmas, but rather which stores are playing Christmas music?! If only that could be photographed and shared in the Blossoms thread!
Not a whole lot going on today. I don't have much work on my desk, but we shall see how it goes. Today is a day of rest. No gym or sports. I need something like this. Otherwise, tomorrow, I can return to the gym and I also have to go to a friend's cottage to help him move the dock from his shoreline and into storage for the winter. There's four of us going. We're all pretty much best friends, so it should be a great evening, especially since we're spending the night. Fun times of enjoying times like the olden days. No internet, no phones, just a few drinks and playing cards.
