Good morning all!!!!! So glad to be able to pop in this morning and say HI. It's been crazy around here this week. I finally have a day off of work when the kids are in school, so hopefully I can get some more decorating done today. Busy weekend again, DD has a soccer tournament both days so that will take up most of the time since it's a hour away.
Well better get the kids moving so I can get them off to school and then I can come home and jump into decorating !!!!!!!!
Have a blessed day everyone:thumbsup:
I'm still so sorry for your loss. At least you can do something to take your mind off of it, though. House hunting is fun! Good luck with the sale of yours, too!I decided to take a couple days off (bereavement leave), since there will be no funeral, no viewing, no wake, no nothing, so I figured the days are here for me to take, so in reality, I'm getting paid to play hooky from work. I'm going to spend the most of the afternoon looking at houses with the wife, can you believe I had three showings on the house here last night, I couldn't believe it...fingers crossed!
you will do great! I get very nervous before major events, no getting around it, I think there are very few people who do not.Big game tonight...i hated this game as a coach. I usually started puking (sorry) by two. Im not coaching, but I still get real edgy and nervous about this game. I keep telling myself its just a game, its just a game...but its not. Other team is favored by 24 points, but games arent played on paper...i just hope we stay healthy for the playoffs. The other teams coach is one of my best friends. We were 3-3 against each other. He called me last night and told me he hopes they beat us so bad that we dont field a team next year. Told him I hope he breaks his leg walking out to the game from the locker room...some friendship, huh? It was all in good nature...I dont want him to break his leg! Well, maybe.
Have fun with your holiday planning! I hope you get to finish your afghan tonight - post pictures of it when you are done! So very happy to read that your dad is up and around - seeing him must have made your day! I will keep him in my prayers! Have a MERRY Wednesday, Holiday!!!
Post of picture when you're done! Glad to hear your dad was out and about!
So things I picked up at our local Christmas shop which opened this evening.
It would have to be Whittard' s Christmas tea blend which is the one I am currently drinking. It 's a loose tea blend with hints of cinnamon, orange peel, vanilla and cloves. Do you have Whittard Shop in the US? They specialise in finest tea and coffee and their shops are a lovely experience. Other than that I always look out for seasonal teas in the supermarket and I like the ones that are just a little different to the usual blends. I would love to try Stash Holiday Chai, from the description I read it sound's delicious!!
Happy MMC Anniversary! I am sure Jeff and everyone will agree you have been a credit to this site and community. It's been a pleasure getting to know you.
That is good news! You must be so relieved! Have fun cooking up some Christmas treats!
Good morning, friends!!
Have a blessed, beautiful, Christmasy day!!

Good evening, everyone. Hope you're all having a great evening. I've been relaxing with the kids and DH, watching some Hallmark movies and getting caught up on here. I'm getting ready to head to bed now for a nap, gotta work tonight.
I hope you all have a great night at the Pines. I will talk to you all tomorrow. If you like country music, the CMA's are on tonight. My favorite man, besides my husband of course, Luke Bryan will be on!!! Haha.
Talk to you guys later!
Good morning everyone! It's a soggy morning here, raining and 100% humidity. It's been pretty nice overall around this area with the temps staying in the 50-60's so no complaints here. The Hagerstown almanac called it right with nice temperatures thru the middle of November then they predict that the end of November will begin a long wet and cold snap... I'm hoping for some serious snow!

I will!! I wasn't able to finish it! We ended up getting company - my sister in law & her 2 youngest munchkins! But I have 1 3/4 rounds of the border on - 1 1/4 to go!! So close!!! I already have a new Christmas pattern I want to try! I ordered the pattern book from the library & it came in today!! Yippee!!
(This is the pattern I want to try, not the one I am working on now: )
Thanks for prayers for Dad. He goes to see his family doc on Monday!
Much thanks for the well-wishes about receiving calls for teaching. I received my first call while I was at the gym (at about 5pm). Tomorrow, I officially begin my career as a supply teacher. It will be my first time in front of a class in about a year and a half. Wish me luck!

this made me think of one thrift store I go to and a lady there when I come in will right away tell me about the latest Christmas stuff that has come in. Once in awhile she will even pull out something from under the counter and tell me she set it aside just for me!You get these comments? Umm... If it is there for sale that means people will come in to buy it. Did they think they would put it on the shelves and no one is going to buy it? I think it is there for a reason and they should be happy to get your money to keep the place going! You be sure to come in there in July next year dressed head to toe in all Christmas attire, t-shirt, socks, elf shoes, Santa hat, etc. and really get them going!
We have a local thrift store up the road with some really nice people who run it. It is so small that they have to rotate stock. Every year in July they get all the Christmas items out and have "Christmas in July" sale for the entire month. People flock there to buy up Christmas and they know I will be there. It's a thrift store for charity that our church even donates money to. They are happy to get my money for a worthy cause.
Have fun shopping and don't let them get to ya! (even though it is annoying!) =)
