To everything there is a season
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to be born
A time to die

To everything there is a season
A time to laugh
A time to weep

To everything there is a season
Unspeakable joy at the arrival of Coach's daughter

To everything there is a season
Unbearable grief at the loss of our Louann

To everything there is a season
We join year long.... strangers in a world surely gone mad as we celebrate a time of peace and not war

Because this is our Season

And so it has come to this..

Four days until the season...

This is beautiful Binger, I love it!

It is hard for people to object because jobs are hard to come by and there is always the fear of loosing that job if you object to working on a holiday.
They give these shifts to the younger crowd because most of them do not mind working it while those who have children would insist on being home to celebrate with them. It is the same at Christmas and new years, the teens and young adults get the Christmas shifts because they have no children to be with and they are given new years off so they can go and party.
As a former boss of mine said once, it is so hard because no matter what you do someone will not be happy about it.
I agree though that there are holidays that retailers need to respect and just stay closed and give everyone a collective break!

Have fun with the shopping, sounds like a really great place (get some pictures if you can!)

I don't mean to whine about it, I know there are people out there that can't even find work. I just wish black Friday was still on Friday and not on Thanksgiving!
I will try and get some pictures later, it's an adorable little store.

Have a great day friends ... Much love.

The Binger

Fantastic special post, Binger. You have always had a great way with words. It really helped put everything into perspective. All we can really do is continue to appreciate one another and celebrate the peace and joy of the Season. As always, you brought a smile to my face.

Good morning everyone!

I am on the road right now. Kim is driving. The sun is shining bright and masking the below freezing temperatures. We are just heading to Cornwall for a quick trip to pickup and installation of our winter tires. Yet another sign of the Season.... although this is a first for us, since it is our first year with a car.

I don't know what else Kim has planned but I would like to head back right away to do some Christmas searching. We will see.

Only 4 days remain until the beginning of the Christmas Season. We are so close. Best of luck to the remaining special posts. Made and Binger have raised the bar but I know you will all knock it out of the park, too!

Have a great Saturday, everyone. It's the final Saturday before the Christmas Season begins. Be sure that you're ready for all the festivities and joys that lay ahead.

Good morning!
It is going to be cloudy today with temperatures in the upper 40's.
I am going to start cooking breakfast soon, the girls all have morning shifts today. They aren't happy about waking up so early but they will be happy later when they don't have to go in to work on a Saturday night. One of my daughters got her schedule for black Friday and she will be working a 12 hour shift. I am so aggravated. I think its too much for these kids and these stores are ruining Thanksgiving for their employees. My other two are still waiting for their schedules.
Anyway, not too much planned for me. Errands, chores and food shopping today. I may run to a local gift store here in town. The store is set up in a cute little two story home, every room is filled to the brim with gifts. At this time of the year they change their merchandise over to all holiday items. There are so many beautiful Christmas items, I look forward to it every year.
I hope everyone has a great day!!!

I agree with you, twelve hours is too much.

Have fun at the gift store! It sounds quaint & wonderful!!
Wish I could go with you =]

Good morning, friends~

Happy Saturday!!

What are your weekend plans?

My parents & Jazzie are heading up today, to hang out with us for the weekend. And tomorrow, Adrian & I, and some friends are going to Lambeau Field for the Packers-Eagles game. Bless my parents hearts, they made the trip to take care of Harlowe for us while we're gone. They adore her, and vice versa, so it all works out! And Jazzie & Har enjoy seeing each other, too.

Our friend, Eric, is coming up today as well. We are going to pick up his brother along the way tomorrow, and then meet my uncle & cousin for a bite to eat before the game. They will be there, too! Should be fun!!
Let's just hope Seneca Warren has been practicing this week!!

We have done some Christmas decorating this week, a little something here & there after work each day. We hung red & white lights on our deck, changed our outdoor bulbs to red & green, put battery operated wreaths around our carriage lights & front door, battery operated pine boughs on our stairway railings (love those, multi-colored or white lights, still or blinking), hung a few xmas signs, and even hung my vintage "believe" stocking. Yay!! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!
Next weekend, I will be decorating the trees. Adi will put them up before he leaves, and I will decorate them & more things around the house. The village is after that! Can't wait!!

Work has been keeping me busy. Lots to learn!! And we've been short-handed with people being sick, and extra shoppers out & about.

I may not be around much for the next couple of days, but I'll be good, just enjoying my time with family & on the road trip. Go Pack, Go!!

Hope you all have a blessed & lovely weekend!!

xx

Good morning all~ It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Baltimore! It looks like we had a frost last night, I can see out the window, the white on the cars and the lawn. I think this morning we are riding out to go look at a house that just came up on the market and do some general running.

Guess what, my real estate agent just called and said she has a contract in hand and is waiting on another. She didn't tell us any details over the phone because she said she wanted time to review it, before she sat down with us. Hopefully, it's good news and not a low ball offer; fingers crossed!

Tonight, we are having a birthday party for Victoria (her birthday is tomorrow), she is having about 15 of her friends coming over so we are going to run out and pick up her birthday cake and order allot of pizzas for tonight...That's allot of hungry teenagers to feed, lol...

i hope you all have a wonderful day today~

Stopping in to say hi! Busy today with my family, but I will stop back tonight to update you on my day!

Have a great time, Snowflake. Are you guys tailgating? When we go to Candlestick to see the 49ers, we tailgate with friends. So much fun. I hope this post goes through. Day before yesterday, I could not post but was taken to the page telling me I had to be a Platinum Member. We have been SO BUSY with the demo. Of course, part of it is that Hubby is so neat and doesn't want to have a big cleanup job and would rather clean up a little as he goes along. Thank God for him!!! We are going to the Elks Lodge for a pit cooked turkey dinner. I can hardly wait!!!

We are going to try & find some other friends who are, and join them if we have time ;)

We are meeting my Uncle Den & cousin Ashley for a beer & brat beforehand, too!

Tailgating is a blast!!

Sorry you were having trouble posting- that's been happening for me much more often, too. I am always happy to help, you can message me if there's anything I can do.

Bless your hubby's heart, being so precise & neat with your demo. Hope all is going well! It's going to be so amazing!!

Enjoy your turkey dinner tonight!!

The Good.
The Bad.
And the Beautiful.
Thanks Bing, my friend! Good post.

And we are indeed down to 4 remaining days!

half way done rearranging my living room so that I can put the tree in the window this year. This is also a great way to clean out all the nooks and crannies in this room!

I don't like being away from some of my favorite people! I've missed y'all. Hope everyone is going well!

We are at Khols's and Christmas is everywhere! They are even playing Christmas music! We are on to target next...I'll report live from the scene. :)

Lambeau tomorrow?! Sounds exciting! There is no Aaron Rodgers but it should be an exciting game. Hopefully Seneca can lead the charge. A win is much needed. Cheer loudly!! I can't wait to return next month! GO PACK GO!!
