Good evening everyone!

It's the weekend! Although I only worked two days this week, I am certainly ready for it! Why wouldn't I be ready for it? It's the final weekend before the beginning of the Christmas Season! And, of course, there are two Special Posts to come tomorrow and Sunday... not to mention the final two on Monday and Tuesday! Oh, to be a MMC'er in November!

I had a great time teaching today. Getting back into the classroom has been a great experience thus far. I am really looking forward to the ever-changing world of substitute teaching. Of course, I obviously hope to have my own class someday, but that'll come with time.

Lots to do this weekend. Kim and I are going to get our winter tires tomorrow. Also, I am hoping that we'll have the opportunity to go to the mall and take some pictures for the Blossoms thread! I am really expecting everything to be in full-force in Canada's capital!

Well, I hope everyone had a great Friday and I hope you're also enjoying your Friday evening, too! The Christmas Season is just around the corner.

Iron? What's that?

Enjoy your running around!!!!

Haha! I already bought a new iron. I couldn't last a day without one. It's sad, I know.

oh finally I made it on the forums.....lol....the server gave me some troubles......How is everyone? I missed You all.

I´m going to be on a field hockey tournement with Kandice tomorrow and on Sunday....we´ll stay over night.....It´s called Gummibärchenturnier (which translates to Gummibeartournement)

Good luck to Kandice!!!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I did not get my work done yesterday until after 11 last night and it is going to be a long day again today. Love being busy! My brother works south of where I live and he told me that there was snow on the ground when he got out of work this morning. All I saw yesterday were a few dancing snowflakes and by the time I was ready to go outside, they were not falling any more but I am so happy I spotted them! Going to have another coffee and get back to my work.

Be MERRY!!!

Hi Meceka, I hope you're having a great day!!!

Good evening to all! Happy Friday! I can't believe that another week is almost gone. (I probably say it too often but that's how it feels to me.) The weather has been very nice here today. Chilly with clear sky! I spent my day at the library working on other university assessment. I haven't had any lectures today so I wanted to use my free time productively. I went grocery shopping later on and I was pleased to see that one of major supermarkets are completely ready and decorated for the season! Yay! ^^ Hope you all guys are having a great evening. :]

I agree with you Victoria, the weeks have been flying by. I'm going food shopping tomorrow, I can't wait to see what they have out for the season. It's so exciting! Enjoy your evening!

ok, how many of you rearrange your room this time of year just so the Christmas tree will have a really good spot to stand?

Our roommate Mike is moving out. We have new glass end tables. I don't think our 4.5 foot tree will look proper on the end tables... and it might scratch the glass. Kim and I are going to have to find a new spot/stand for the Tree!

You will love your new kitten, we have 5 cats and we just adore them.

This is Ophelia, she is our princess since she is our only girl.

Ophelia is so sweet xmas!
I have the opposite in my house, we have all females and only one male.

Throw a snow drape over the glass to protect it! It might work for you.

Hey, It's Friday evening....Let the weekend commence!!!
I just got in from picking Victoria up from school and then I went up to pick up my pickup truck from the mechanic. I was driving home last week and I lost my breaks at an intersection (brake line burst) :o. Luckily, I was able to downshift and use the emergency brake to stop the truck. I drove another three miles that way and coasted it into the shop without hitting any traffic lights along the way (someone was looking out for me)!

The mechanic said that they had to replace the entire brake line from the master cylinder to the rear of the truck (rotted), replace both wheel cylinders and the rear brake hoses. After everything was said and done, it cost me around $450.00 dollars. I don't know, I guess that was ok with labor and all, at least I got the truck back and I have brakes now!

I guess tonight may be a movie night tonight for me and vicki, since the wife and son are working tonight....

That's frightening xmastidings, I'm so happy you are alright.
Enjoy your evening with Vicki!

a busy lady as always! I need my iron the other day and had to look for quite sometime before finding it, it had been that long since I used it! LOL
Have fun shopping!

I think my iron broke because I overused it!

45 days guys, woho!

Good night :)

Good night aLESKA!

I'm glad that thing didn't come down on the house... I have to ask you, but when you burn pecan limbs, do they give off a nice smell like cherry or apple woods? I've never used that kind of wood before and I'm just curious~

It must, because we sell a Pecan Wood smoked bacon at my store.

Good evening,

Well, it looks like my doctor has released me to work on Monday, I was getting use to this being home stuff. I had to run out to his office for the third time in 3 days for all the "new" paperwork that suddenly comes up everyday I have to have filled out.

I swear the stores out here are listening to all the complaining about Christmas stuff being out "too early" I went to 3 stores today and none were even halfway done setting up their Christmas merchandise. It is the second week of November for crying out loud!!!!

I also went to Blockbuster Video, since I heard they are closing for good, I was an assistant store manager there for 3.5 years, met my wife while working there, but I didn't leave under the best of circumstances. I felt I was being forced out because my district manager was upset that I was looking for a better paying job, she started spreading rumors and lies about me around the district. When I found out from my store manager, who was an usher at my wedding, I was just as unprofessional as she was, I got hired at my current job and basically told them I would work the last few days of my schedule, no two week notice, for that week and leave them. Which were their busiest days of the year. So I got the last laugh against her, she was very angry with me, she confronted me. Asked me if I had anything to say to her, and my response was: "Not to you." I turned my back and walked away. That was the first, last, and only time I acted that unprofessional at a job.

I am very sad for the current employees there, losing their jobs right before the holidays.

I hope you all have had a great Friday thus far.

I miss Blockbuster! I use to take the girls there when they were little. We were talking about it recently! They liked walking around in there, browsing and picking out movies. I would let them pick out candy and we would get tubs of popcorn. They enjoyed it. I think it's sad they aren't around anymore.
Good luck going back to work on Monday, I hope you feel well!

The house has to be set just right for all my Christmas stuff, if a kid is in the way he goes down stairs. (jk) cheesy

One room the electric fireplace gets moved, another the loveseat and TV are moved. Pictures come off the wall and so on....

I did finish up my work earlier today than yesterday - yay! Now I have time to clean house a bit before I get the stuff out I need for work tomorrow. Busy season!

MERRY dreams!!!

I don't have much to move. Just have my coffee table. I use it as a end table/computer table most of the year, and then at Christmas time, it goes back out to the middle of the room to put Santa's on and make room for the tree.

We have to move a table out of the way that is in our living room. We were actually talking about possibly placing the tree somewhere different this year since my husband has made a lot of changes in the house with all of the work that he has been doing. We'll how much more progress he makes over the next couple of weeks.

What a nice peaceful night around here. We (vicki and I) were planning to watch movies tonight and she was downstairs with me for a bit and then I couldn't find her. I went upstairs and there she was, all curled up in her bed sound asleep...She was telling me on our way home today that she was exhausted from all the tests, studying and essays that she has had to do over the past couple of weeks, getting very little sleep. She said she was glad to come home and rest in her own bed....

I tucked her in, kissed her forehead, pulled the blinds closed and shut her door, just like I used to when she was still a little girl (made me feel good)!

So, I,m sitting here listening to Kringle Radio, writing some checks and getting ready to go downstairs and watch the kick-off of Battlestar Galacatica at 9 pm on the BBC channel!

It's me, the TV and some Hickory Farms smoked gouda cheese tonight~

That's really sweet!
Enjoy your evening!
