A Very Merry Christmas Season to Everyone!!!

I wish I could have been there with everyone to help bring in the Christmas Season, but I couldn't hang as well....Got up the previous morning at 4:45am and didn't sleep to well to boot, so when 9:00pm came around last night, my eyes were rolling up in my head....

We went out for a seafood dinner to celebrate my 50th birthday and with that Lobster sitting in my tummy last night, I hit the couch and needless to say, I was done in no time flat~

I hope you enjoyed your birthday dinner, it sounds wonderful!
And a very Merry Christmas season to you too!!!

well christmas is on hold right now..i lost my cousin last week he was only 41.. would of been 42 on christmas day..just can"t believe he is gone..:-(

Happy Pines day everyone. Welcome to the "most wonderful time of the year". Temp was 16 when I left home this morning. It felt great. We had snow showers last night but no real accumulation.

Our family is meeting with Hospice today about placing mom in the hospice house. She doesn't want to go which makes it even more difficult. She is a fighter but doesn't have much time left.

We are struggling with knowing that mom's death is soon while the Christmas season is starting. We certainly know that, because of what Jesus did for us, mom is going to a far better place and the sorrow we have is for us, not her. Our family still intends to celebrate Christmas. How can we not celebrate what God did for us at Christmas? This Christmas season will be different but we will try to keep our focus on what Christmas is really about; "for unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Savior which is Christ the Lord..."

Thanks for letting me vent and give myself a pep talk. Have a blessed day all.

Just wanted you to know I'm lifting you and your family up in prayer.

Good morning,

First of all, I just want to thank you all for all the kind words you all said about my special post from yesterday, my day was nuts and wasn't able to respond to all of you, but THANK YOU ALL!!!!!

It was a non stop day yesterday, getting the van ready for trade in, grocery shopping, picking up the new car, and of course taking it on a long drive, and on and on... I was exhausted, but I was not going to miss the celebration last night, I always miss the big things here.

But here is what the new vehicle looks like:

This will be my wife and I trying to drive it.

Of course we will never use any violence on each other.

I need to go to work, I will see you all tonight!!!!

I love the car Xmas, it's beautiful! Lots of luck with it!

Call your sister & have her come do it for you!

I'm getting in the Christmas Spirit! I've started shopping for gifts, wrapped what I can, & this morning I reserved a room for DH & me for our 20th wedding anniversary on the weekend before Christmas. We were married on December 18, close enough to Christmas!

We'll go to Dixie Stampede on Friday night with DH's parents (we have same wedding anniversary) & we always take DD with us too. They will take DD home with them & we'll get one day & two nights to ourselves to relax & unwind from DH's stressful job. I'm looking forward to it! Twenty years, but it seems like just a couple of years. Wow.

An early Happy Anniversary to you and your husband!!!

Happy Christmas season, everyone! I hope that everyone has a wonderful & blessed season this year on MMC, with family, and with friends! Let it be the best one yet!

This time of the year, I am so thankful for MMC. I have 'met' so many wonderful people here. We are all so very different but share one common interest which brings us all together - it's great!

I remember last year I was so down in the dumps as soon as the evening hours approached on Christmas. I know that it was still Christmas Day, but I was finally facing the fact that it was almost all over. It's hard to look forward to something for months and months and then for it just to end. That's why Christmas Eve has been and always will be my favorite day of the year. The anticipation of Christmas is the best feeling ever. Anyway, I can remember when it hit midnight and I was seriously feeling so down. I logged on here and chatted with some of you who were feeling the exact same way. Most people really have no idea what the feeling is that we experience because they simply do not care about Christmas the way that we do. I started the countdown in my head even though it was a long 364 days away.

This time of year for me is filled with fun, excitement, joy, and anticipation. It's nice to share it with people outside of my family who truly appreciate it as much as I do! Heck - I get excited over wrapping paper, guys. I buy it like it's going out of style. I think I have enough wrapping paper at this point to last me 12 years.

Now that the season has officially 'kicked off' I really need to start my shopping and decorating! The decorations are coming out this weekend and the lights are going up - woo hoo!

Have a GREAT day, everyone!!

Happy Christmas season to you too Jennifer!
Have fun decorating this weekend!!!

I hope it all settles for your mum and your whole family. I will be making this decision soon too with a very independent and determined mother that has had a few falls and isn't steady on her feet anymore. She was so active all her life and is so frustrated that her body is failing her that she tries harder and harder and doing more damage. My heart bleeds for you all. keep us posted on your progress, your insights can help us.

My granddaughter and I just got back from the mall and met the REAL SANTA (a real white beard too)! He was not too busy since we know that the kids don't start really visiting him this early so we had a nice long conversation. He is not there for a job just to make extra money playing Santa, he is like all of us here at MMC who loves Christmas year round. He had a really sharp looking Santa suit that I wish I could have taken a picture of him with my camera but they are in the business to sell photos which I understand. I am waiting until I get the 3 grandchildren together before I pay to have it done. That is the first mall Santa I have met that is really good for the role! I felt we could have talked for hours and hours but after about nearly 20 minutes or so some kids showed up so we on. I invited him to MMC and I hope he will join us soon. He had some really wonderful stories to tell and I will wait for him to share them here with us. One of them will be about his Alaskan Cruise he plans to take to visit North Pole, Alaska.

We had a great day looking at all the decorations at the mall and of course, our visit with Santa!!!
