Wayne and I went to Downtown Dallas Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony last night. I told Wayne the way people grumble about Christmas starting so early it might not be as crowded as it has been in the past since they are lighting the tree nearly 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. They usually don't light it that early. Boy, I was wrong! Those people who gripe must be very few and very loud (making us believe there is a lot) because there were thousands of people out in there in the Christmas spirit!

While out there Wayne and I participated in a game with a local radio station. Wayne won and I figured it would be a t-shirt. Nope! They gave us a pair of front row tickets to an upcoming Christmas parade!

Here is a picture of the store front of Neiman Marcus in Downtown Dallas. This picture does not do it justice. The lights twinkle so in the picture it appears that some of the lights are burned out, kinda hard to get the picture with them all lit! It's very impressive walking up on it!

Good morning!
It is going to be cloudy today with a chance of showers, temperatures in the upper 50's.
I still have to walk the dogs, I'm waiting for Maggie to get up. She wanted to go back to bed with my husband. He's still in bed, he was was up all night because his back is hurting. He's working so hard trying to get this house finished. The first time we renovated this house was when we bought it over 20 years ago. I think he forgets he's not in his 20's anymore. This was a lot of work for him to take on by himself!
Not too much going on for me. I wish I could decorate like so many of you are doing. There really isn't any point pulling everything out until my husband finishes. I'm kind of sad but I'm trying to be patient. This is the last time we will be renovating here and I know it will be worth it.
Anyway, the girls are all working so they will be in and out today. I will probably do some Christmas shopping. If I don't go out I will definitely do some shopping online. I made a nice long Christmas gift list to work off of.

Good Morning, Season Travelers and Christmas Anticipators.

And indeed, we are traveling right along through Christmas Season 2013.
Already at Day 5!
Better get crackin' on those holiday gift and party plans!

The daily numbers:
Days to Thanksgiving: 11 (SINGLE DIGITS the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 38 (Under 5 1/2 weeks left!)

And TOMORROW -- the 90 percent Milestone to Christmas Day!
(Then, no more markers left for this year. Sad -- and yet -- exciting!)

Nice and warm yesterday and this situation is predicted to continue today and tomorrow before more winter-like conditions return for Tuesday.
Currently, we stand at 55 degrees here in the center of the great state of North Carolina.

Have a Super Sunday, Friends.
And may you enjoy the 2nd half of your weekend at least as much as the first!

Here in NYC, you can really see the Christmas spirit beginning! All the lights and decorations are up around 5th Avenue, all the tourists are shopping! Its really the best time to be in NYC. Im going ice skating in a few weeks and I might be going to the Annual Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Plaza! Mariah Carey is performing again!!!! This is my fourth holiday season / fourth year living in NYC and its truly mind blowing at the beauty of the city this year! :welcome::razz::wiggy::

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a warm day with a high of 70 degrees here. Unfortunately we are also under a high risk of storms and tornado's. No fun. Not much on my agenda for today. I just got done eating breakfast and reading the paper and since I didn't see anything in the ads that I just had to run out and get, I'm going to start some laundry. Then it will be time for the last Nascar race of the year. I'm also going to unpack all of my Santa's and sit them on the dining room table so I can plan where they are going to go. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
