I'm babysitting my sick niece.

I hope your niece is better soon, made, and that you don't catch whatever it is she has.

Good morning!
I am heading out in a few minutes. I'm taking my daughter to the doctor, she feels awful and has a sore throat. I want to make sure she doesn't have strep. She is missing hours today for her nursing program and is supposed to start clinical tomorrow. Ugh!
I'll try and pop back in later. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

I hope your daughter does not have strep and that she will be better soon!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I'm so glad everyone is checking in safe from the storms yesterday - praying for those who were affected by the severe outbreak. Wow, it seems to be windier out now than it was yesterday. I heard a tree fall somewhere in the woods a bit earlier - hoping it isn't too big of a mess to clean up and that it didn't fall in the pond. We still have electricity - yay! Working from home today - I just didn't want to go out in that wind if I didn't have to as it plays havoc with my sinuses and allergies both. Tomorrow will be busier but at least I will be able to breathe! I'm getting a few things done that I tend to put off until the last minute, too, so it is turning out to be a far better work day than I thought it would be. I love Mondays!

Be MERRY and stay safe!!!

Happy MILESTONE Day!!! :sparkle:

Good morning MMC!!!

I have a lot of catching up to do here! I didn't get to log in all weekend! But I got a lot accomplished at home. Our Thanksgiving dinner is coming together - I have the turkey roll in the freezer, I ordered a ham from my bil's meat store, I told the inlaws I am going to make some kind of pumpkin thing (Pumpkin roll/pumpkin cookies - something like that) & also I would make the potatoes. (I have the crispy potato puffs already in the freezer & I'll make mashed potatoes.) And of course snacks! My MIL said she will bring deviled eggs & baked apples. My SIL said she will bring a fruit try & a crock pot of sweet corn (which she cut off the cob this summer & froze) - I'm getting really excited!! I haven't heard from 1 SIL yet or my BIL - though I thought he could just bring a bag of chips or something. Lol! (he's recently divorced) It will be here before we know it!!!! This is the LAST full week of work before Thanksging. OMG! I just realized that! WOO HOOO!!! I better get busy!
:wiggy:

I hope you all had a great weekend. Our HS boys football team squeeked out a win in tournament play Saturday night. So now my hubby has a decision to make - we have tickets to the Buckeye game Saturday - Buckeyes or HS football!? Decision, decision!!!!

Have a great Monday! I'm going to try to catch up some!!!

Well, if it were me and I would choose Ohio State, not that I am a fan, but I know you love them like I love my Penn State, but sounds like your HS boys are doing well and that is something to see! That is a tough decision! I'm not helping!

I can't believe I forgot to mention that Saturday night I put up my Buckeye tree in the basement!! I had some help! (our friends kids) Here they are putting up the tree...

And here is how the tree looked when they finished (had to go home)

Soooo - I did a "little" re-arranging & here's the final project. (need to get a new tree skirt - that is the Buckeye afghan I made last year. LOL)

(I really need to get a better picture with a camera - not a phone)

Love it!!!

looks great and everyone is having fun!

Good afternoon everyone!

It's the first Monday of the Christmas Season! I received a call for an emergency supply this morning. I thought the school was only about 30 minutes away, but it turned out to be nearly an hour! Oops. I missed the first period, but they were really happen when I arrived. It all worked out in the end. Glad I could make it and get a full day's pay!

I am not too sure of anything else that may be happening today. I know that I have hockey tonight at 10pm. It's a little late, but I am excited to play. I missed last week due to having to teach in Cornwall. Hopefully we can win our first game in a while tonight.

Well, I should be going. It's another 50 minutes to drive home... and then find something to cook for dinner. I'm already starving, too!

Have a great Monday, everyone! Merry Christmas!

What?!?! How much does THAT cost?!?! That would be so COOL!!

When I lived there, it started around $300/30 miles, per driver. But it's Vegas, so maybe there are specials, comps, etc.! LOL!!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was a long, busy weekend, but The Nutcracker Ballet is upon us! Wednesday is a full dress rehearsal, then they have a Friday afternoon mini-presentation for local schools, then Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon shows. I can't wait! This year, the ballet company teamed-up with a local dance supply shop to offer beautiful Christmas ornaments that will be personalized with their names and Nutcracker Ballet 2013. They will be presented as a surprise at the Saturday night show.

This cold front everyone is talking about sure hasn't found its way down south. It's almost 80° at 9:30AM..but it's supposed to get into the 60's tomorrow.

I hope y'all have a great day!

I bet Elizabeth is so excited! She will be beautiful & amazing, I'm sure!! I wish I could go see it. Hope you all have a wonderful time, Brad!!

LOL!!!! Yeah, right!!!

Boo!! Be nice!! :%

There are still lots if places in this area without power, some schools closed because of it. I have a better view now...

Hydro crews were out removing some siding that was wrapped around the wires

And repairing a light.i am thankful our power is still on.

Praying that everyone has power back on now, CS. Glad you stayed safe!

YUM!!! Sounds delicious!!

That's a tough decision!! Good luck with it =]

Hope everyone had a great weekend and their Monday is going well!

Yesterday my daughter and I decorated the mantle for Christmas...with white lighted garland and some of my lighted snowmen.

May look a little strange for Thanksgiving next week but oh well!! It so nice to be sitting in the dark and have it glowing!

That sounds absolutely beautiful, BoxerMom!

Hey Ryan!! Hope you had a good Monday!!

Look at our beautiful sunset!

That is gorgeous, CS!!

Good evening! Just got done spending the day cleaning. I got 1/2 of the house done so far, so it's time to relax.

What's everyone's plans for tonight? I'm just going to watch Hallmark for a little bit, then hopefully lay down for a nap. I head back to work tonight.

Hope you all enjoy your evening!

I hope everyone got through the storms safely.

It's so exciting to see all your Christmas trees and decorations going up!

I spent a Christmassy day … spent a good hour and a half wandering around Russell's Garden Center in Wayland looking at all their wonderful Christmas stuff---so many things I saw made me think of all of you. I also stopped at the Home Depot for some additional Christmas lights---I needed an extra string for my tree, and got a couple strings of C7s to string on the hedge out front. (As usual, I mixed white bulbs in with multicolor bulbs.) I'll string the lights on the tree when I get home from work the day before Thanksgiving (hoping that will be early!), and the outdoor lights will go up shortly after. (I just can't get the hang of outdoor decorating … my efforts usually look pretty lame. But I always attempt something.)

It was so enjoyable to spend the day doing Christmas things … I hate to go back to work tomorrow. But it'll be a four-day week, and next week will be a short week leading up to Thanksgiving (is it possible? already?!), then lots of gift-wrapping and packages and music!

Mr. is still feeling pretty rough with his cold and is very raspy, but I'm hoping he's turned the corner and will be over it in a few days. Crossing my fingers that it won't latch onto me next. I'm going to try to get some hot tea into him this evening.
