As most of you know, we are uber busy here with the remodeling. As I was going through some papers, I came across TWO cards from CM3, both of them polar bear ones. Here is what she wrote on the second one she sent: "Hi, Cherylle. It is only the MOST special people who get polar bear cards from me, and rarely has anyone gotten two within one year!! I hope you will like this book. It is one of my favorites, and I keep it near me all year long when I want to feel Christmas. If there are any times when you need Christmas near, just open this book and let the magic take you away, too. Merry Christmas in February with love, Luanne." Can you guess that I have tears in my eyes right now?

That is beautiful, I miss her so much at this time. I see polar bear ornaments, or the holiday edition Barbie she looked so forward to purchasing every year, and my thoughts go right to her. I have an ornament of a hockey playing bear that she sent me, it will be right in the front of the tree this year.

Time for me to turn in!
I hope everyone had a wonderful day!
See you in the morning!
Goodnight and sweet dreams!

I think they already did, I went "a** over teakettle" yesterday when I tripped over a flatbed cart we use to move them to and fro.

I landed hard on my right side, my arm hurts and I got a Charlie horse where my keys are kept in my pocket. On the good side, my back stopped hurting after I slowly lifted myself back up.

Hope you're okay!

Oh boy, can I relate to that....For me, It's the outdoor decorations! In particular, Blowmolds; I love them. Here I am, selling my house, packing and all, where you think, the average person would want to get rid of things. Nope, not me, I'm thinking about buying things, LOL...

I saw this Blowmold the other day at the store and It's been on my mind ever since. I want it!!!!! Now, I just have to figure out just how to purchase it and hide it where Lisa cannot see it or find it... "sneaky, sneaky, sneaky..."

Ask the clerk for a large box from the back of the store, and hide it with the other boxes. cheesy

When my grandmother passed in 2006, we were told to go in and take whatever we wanted since we were the only living relatives in the area. I ended up with the Christmas village pieces, a bunch of musical Santas, and I had my hand on a vintage mid-60's Santa blowmold, but I decided against taking it. I regretted it from the moment I left. I can still see it on the fireplace with his warm glow right next to that "chirping ball" that I guess was a fad. I finally bought a Santa blowmold this past summer, but it will never have the meaning my grandmothers had.

Okay, I've started going back through the old countdowns and pulling out the special posts and putting them in their own thread. I've got 4 years down but the hardest 3 are still to go. I'll try to get to them later tonight or tomorrow.

I perused them a bit earlier, you are ambitious. Thank you for doing that, it will be fun to read them again and for the first time.

Hope you're okay!

I am fine. Thanks.
With all the things going on with me lately, I decided to wait to get on the ladder to do the outdoor lights until Sunday when someone is home, if I fall off the ladder like I did a few years ago. I was able to get the indoor lights done today.

Yeah, 2007, 2008, and 2009 weren't to bad. Then someone turned us all into Chatterboxes!!! So finding them in 2010, 2011, and 2012 took a while. Now i just need to go back and fine them from this year.

Good evening,

I had a long day off, I spent most of my morning searching stores for the staples I use to hang my lights, NO ONE around here has them, I was so upset. I had three packs left from last year, it took me over an hour to find them. The inside of the house is all lit up and garland is wrapped where it needs to be. I am driving my wife nuts, because I put so much pressure on myself to be done early and considering I have lost nearly 2 weeks of prep time due to my spasms and stuff, to be done by Thanksgiving seems to be a stretch right now, but I will keep plugging, and driving her nuts. So now I have a three foot tree, 6.5 foot tree and 7.5 tree to do. We bought on clearance a tree for both boys rooms last year, so those need to be done. A village to set up, knick knacky stuff, a bunch of Santas to move around.

We did finish most of the boys Christmas shopping tonight, I love online shopping, just a couple more things to do for them. I haven't started my better half yet, but I will get her stuff done soon enough.

Just listening to some Xmas music now. I love this stuff!!!!

Good night, kind Christmas folk.

We really have exploded in the last few years, we are just a growing family, that actually enjoys each others company. cheesy
