Good Afternoon! Happy Pines Day!!!

Thank you for all the get well wishes for the children. They are much better. I am just having a break with some Christmas music, tea and catching up on here. I managed to put out a couple Christmas knick knacks out last night. My little one broke a small snow globe that Mr. Festive gave me when we first moved in to our house a few years ago :( It's a shame but atleast he didn't cut himself thank goodness. I can see it's going to be quite the challenge having tree and decorations up with my cheeky little monkey around!

I have so much to plan and get done, anyone else feeling a bit overwhelmed? I love it though......makes it all the more exciting LOL!

Hope you all are having a joyful day!

Hey girl!!

Glad your little ones are feeling better!!

It's too bad about your snow globe, but happy that your son wasn't hurt.

It's amazing how fast Christmas is approaching! Now I want it to slow down =] So much to do, so little time!!

Have a beautiful day, friend!!

As most of you know, we are uber busy here with the remodeling. As I was going through some papers, I came across TWO cards from CM3, both of them polar bear ones. Here is what she wrote on the second one she sent: "Hi, Cherylle. It is only the MOST special people who get polar bear cards from me, and rarely has anyone gotten two within one year!! I hope you will like this book. It is one of my favorites, and I keep it near me all year long when I want to feel Christmas. If there are any times when you need Christmas near, just open this book and let the magic take you away, too. Merry Christmas in February with love, Luanne." Can you guess that I have tears in my eyes right now?

What an awesome keepsake!!

I think they already did, I went "a** over teakettle" yesterday when I tripped over a flatbed cart we use to move them to and fro.

I landed hard on my right side, my arm hurts and I got a Charlie horse where my keys are kept in my pocket. On the good side, my back stopped hurting after I slowly lifted myself back up.
oh my goodness! Glad it at least cured your back! Hope you are not to sore this morning.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I apologize for my absence yesterday. Our network was down all day, and I'm the local "IT Assistant" for the real IT guys in Nebraska. I spent the day troubleshooting hardware, then replacing the switch. It's finally working, so I'm back.

Today is Elizabeth's 13th birthday! It's also our 19th anniversary! I can't believe Elizabeth is 13. I have a picture of her on my desk when she was around 6. If she jumped up on my lap today looking just like that, it would make me so happy. Not that I'm not happy; she's growing up into a beautiful young lady, inside & out. I'm so very proud of her, but I miss carrying her with one arm, or putting her on my shoulders for the long walk across the Walmart parking lot.

Ack! Ignore me! I'm just a little weepy at her reaching this milestone. I cooked her favorite omelet this morning, and we let her open a couple of presents before school. We'll have a big family party for her on Sunday after Nutcracker.

She has her full Nutcracker dress rehearsal this evening, and she's excited about that. It'll be a long night tonight. LOL

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

When I toured around the garden center Monday, I saw so many things to make me think of her. And last night at the supermarket there were the special-edition Barnum's Animals cookies with polar bears on the box ... I remember sending her a few boxes last year when I saw them.

I have a little polar bear finger puppet that will be going on my tree this year in her memory.

Goodnight, friends!!

xx

That is beautiful, I miss her so much at this time. I see polar bear ornaments, or the holiday edition Barbie she looked so forward to purchasing every year, and my thoughts go right to her. I have an ornament of a hockey playing bear that she sent me, it will be right in the front of the tree this year.

You can get your sweet revenge next Thursday by consuming large helpings of one of the offenders. I hope your aches and pains leave you soon. Hang in there, Thanksgiving is coming.

good to hear your family is feeling better
My kids have broken a few Christmas items over thee years, it happens. My son used to always play with he nativity scene. He used to take baby Jesus to bed with him at night!
My oldest was always into the tree decorations. I kept telling her no, so one time when she started again, and I again said no, she put her little hands behind her back and started to kiss the ornaments! LOL, there seems to be a way around every rule.

We really have exploded in the last few years, we are just a growing family, that actually enjoys each others company. cheesy

Well said!

I think it's wonderful that she's everywhere, whether it's wishing us a Merry Christmas with her polar bears or by being alive in our hearts

I love that you're putting the polar bear finger puppet on your tree in her memory.

Last year, I purchased a keepsake ornament, it's a lighthouse that has a polar bear & Santa decorating it. She was on the fence about getting it, and so was I, (we had already spent a lot!) but we said "What the heck!" Because it made us happy! It really makes me smile when I look at it.

Good morning!
I was just doing a little bit of online Christmas shopping but I need to start moving and get some chores done. The online shopping is great but I could spend all day looking at things and that's not good! I think I'm going to head out to the stores this afternoon to do some more shopping. I have to keep chipping away at that list!
My daughter just texted me and told me she is coming home. She is still so sick. The poor thing. She's upset because she really has to be careful how many hours she misses in this program. It stinks!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
