***** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 9 *****

Good Morning, Folks.

Hey!
Thanksgiving!
One week away!
(I can almost hear the parade.)

The numbers:
Days to Thanksgiving: 7 (ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!)
Days to Christmas Day: 34 (Now under five weeks off!)
Chuggin' right along through the old count, we are.

Chilly weather is back but at least it's clear and dry.
Right now, we are at 44 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Thrilling Thursday and an Excitinge Eve of the Eve, Friends!

wow 9 days into the season already!
I am so not ready, which one would think, counting down all year would have had me ready but I am not :-?
Best get moving!
Thanks for keeping us on track

Well another crappy day here. I got a call shortly after 11am from one of my mom's coworkers saying that they thought she was having another stroke. She wouldn't let them call an ambulance, so I rushed up to her work and took her to the ER. After another round of tests, they decided that it was another TIA and they decided it was safe to send her home. I didn't agree with the last part since she still couldn't walk on her own and was having a hard time swallowing. They said she would be fine though and sent her home. Now that we are home, she does seem to be doing a little better though. So hopefully she is back to normal by tomorrow morning.
I'm sorry she has to keep dealing with this, but I'm glad she seems to be improving. Sending prayers for her (and you!) now.

Yeah, she lives with me. I moved her in when she started having some issues with what seemed like heart attacks 6 years ago and we couldn't trust her to live on her own anymore. So I'm here to monitor her.

that is great. My mom live across town, but she is in a seniors building where they are always cheeking up on her. She is also on the waiting list for a unit in a building that has call buttons and 24 hours nursing care if needed.
(across town here is less than 10min drive)
I am the only family member that lives close enough to her should help be needed. I still worry about her though. She is becoming more fragile every year.

My mom is doing great at 70, but it's still a worry for me. She's a bit too active and stubborn about it. She's about 15 miles from Bellville, out in the stix. My brother currently lives about 45 minutes from her. But, thank goodness, he's closing on the house & property next to hers today! I'll feel MUCH better knowing one of us is close enough for her to have her independence, but be able to call on us at a moment's notice.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had a late night with Elizabeth's dress rehearsal for Nutcracker. We got home at 9pm, then we found out Jacob had a report that took another 5 hours to finish. Needless to say, I left him working on it and I went to bed. Don't feel sorry for him! He's know about this for a week, but instead of working on it a little each day, he's been playing his guitar. That's what he gets! I never did anything like that in my youth.

Elizabeth has another practice tonight, then the shows start tomorrow.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I am missing you all! We have been so busy around here.

Dallas is very busy right now getting ready for the JFK 50th Anniversary of his assassination. We were just in Downtown Dallas over the weekend for the tree lighting ceremony. We were wondering why the tree lighting ceremony was so early this year but it was fine with us! That might be why they did it so early this year to get ready for the anniversary this weekend.

Take care my Christmas friends!

Two of my kids did the same as Jacob in school, now that they are older they at least have learned to keep up with things! LOL

hi CAH! I heard some stories on the news about JFK anniversary.

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Good choices!

I am up later than I wanted, but I ended up burning a new CD of "edgy" Christmas music for my rides to & from work. A little bit of Dropkick Murphys, some Emmy the Great, The Kinks, of course some Wizzard, and many more.

This time I mean it. cheesy

Good night, everyone.

really?
people are already lined up for black Friday in Akron Ohio

http://www.620wtmj.com/news/local/H...-anticipation-for-Black-Friday-232699841.html

are the deals so good they are worth this?

Okay, I will confess. I am actually there now posting from my phone. That is why I have been so "busy". Wayne and I are in one of those tents and it's getting a bit chilly!!! Someone send the lear with some hot chocolate, please!

Yes, it's an awesome deal! The first 20 people to enter through the doors get a free Best Buy pencil!!!

Don't forget your camera, LOL!

Maybe one of the teachers needs me to sub for them! That would be good for me--I could make some money teaching and get a good meal too!

I was actually thinking tonight about going to school concerts this year pretending to have kids on stage!
