I will be there in 4 1/2 hours! Get a bonfire going!
How big of one do you want?

We don't want to burn down Best Buy!!!

My son, like me, loves history. Sunday he sat down and watched the cbs news program that was all about Kennedy. He is fascinated and went to the library and checked out some books about JFK. In February when we make our annual Dallas trip we are going to the museum. He is very excited!

I am sure you mentioned this before but have you been to Downtown Dallas in the past? I know you went to Greatwolf Lodge, which is right by Dallas but wasn't sure if you been to Downtown?

We went to the Dallas World Aquarium a few years ago and really liked it! Have you been to the JFK museum?

Haha!! "Fire, fire!!" cheesy

Is this a Beavis reference? :)

Yes, have been there a couple of times and just to the spot where he was assassinated numerous times, either hanging out in the area or driving through.

They also have a trolley tour. I have not been on that but I assume it takes you through where everything took place.

We have also been to Dallas World Aquarium a few times.

They just opened up the Perot Museum. We plan to become members of it in December and take the grandchildren. We were members of the museum when it was at Fair Park (different name there). They closed it down and moved it to Downtown Dallas and changed the name to Perot. I have some friends who have gone to it and they said it was awesome and there is so much that you are unable to see everything in one day. It's close to JFK museum so if you have time you might stop by there. I will send you a link.

I am missing you all! We have been so busy around here.

Dallas is very busy right now getting ready for the JFK 50th Anniversary of his assassination. We were just in Downtown Dallas over the weekend for the tree lighting ceremony. We were wondering why the tree lighting ceremony was so early this year but it was fine with us! That might be why they did it so early this year to get ready for the anniversary this weekend.

Take care my Christmas friends!

Are you going to participate in any of the festivities? If so, enjoy and have a great time!

That is so special that your brother will be close by. It is important that your mom has independence, like you say, and has someone close. You and your brother ROCK!!!

My mom is doing great at 70, but it's still a worry for me. She's a bit too active and stubborn about it. She's about 15 miles from Bellville, out in the stix. My brother currently lives about 45 minutes from her. But, thank goodness, he's closing on the house & property next to hers today! I'll feel MUCH better knowing one of us is close enough for her to have her independence, but be able to call on us at a moment's notice.

Give Elizabeth our best for her performances. Did Jacob learn his lesson, LOL?

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had a late night with Elizabeth's dress rehearsal for Nutcracker. We got home at 9pm, then we found out Jacob had a report that took another 5 hours to finish. Needless to say, I left him working on it and I went to bed. Don't feel sorry for him! He's know about this for a week, but instead of working on it a little each day, he's been playing his guitar. That's what he gets! I never did anything like that in my youth.

Elizabeth has another practice tonight, then the shows start tomorrow.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Great to see you, CAH. I hope you will soon feel up-to-snuff. I sure am, finally. I have my days sometimes, but I feel more energetic than previously. Will you two be attending any events in Dallas? How are those sweet grand kids? Are they making you laugh? I'll bet they are junior Christmas-a-Holics!
