i almost forgot. I had to re-adjust the Christmas Tree here a little. Some ornaments had to be moved up. For instance, I put candy canes on the tree, but I had to move them up because Pauli might get to them otherwise. Here's a photo of Pauli from yesterday. Unfortunately, she has not yet returned under the tree. Such a cute photo!

Also, a quick photo of the snow in Ottawa. It is beginning to look at lot like Christmas!:

Tomorrow I head up to Michigan to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. I want to wish all the wonderful people of MMC a very happy Thanksgiving. See you guys in a few days.

Have a safe trip friend!!!!!

Well, I've posted a grand total of two times in six days...shame on me!

Been busy wrapping up school for the break, taking care of the baby, and a few others things....

Had the weirdest thing happen today...went to the doctor for my regular checkup for high blood pressure...and he noticed my throat was red. I fee like a million bucks, but they did a throat swab and I have strep throat. So weird...I feel fine.

So I'm on some pretty strong medications. This is the third time I've had it since August, so we got to get something figured out. I'm supposed to go back to see him in ten days and then again in 20.

Baby and wife are snoozing, but I'm wide-awake. The next three days are in my top 10 days of the year, so I better get some rest.

See yall in the morning for coffee....

Hope your throat heals up soon friend!!!! Enjoy your first Thanksgiving with the little bambina!!!!!!!

Wasn't it great watching Rudolph tonight?

Yes it was!!!!

Hello everyone

I hope this finds you all well and happy.

I'm fine but busy as usual.

The weather her is cold but sunny. We already had snow all the way down twice and will have new snow on saturday. I love it, as the weather fits the season perfectly.

I will be back as soon as I have time to join you.

See you all later

Best Regards

Cetacea (Mona)

Hey, Cetacea!!!! Glad all is going well for you!!

Made, I wanted you to know that Hubby is doing a great job at demolition. He used one of his skill saws and made a grid of the kitchen floor so he can clear one section at a time. He has to get it ready for the concrete guy. He also has to do some earthquake stuff even though we are not prone to earthquakes, and the area is only a few inches deep! I guess the county has to make its money somehow! TTYT

LOL!!!!! Yes they do!!! Glad that all is going well!!!

Merry Morning!

How is everyone! I imagine you all are busy with your thanksgiving preparations! How exciting!

I am feeling the effects of a slight cold this morning but fingers crossed it doesn't get worse and goes away quickly! I really am sorry for falling behind with everyone's posts. These days are so hectic as I am sure it is for everyone. I am trying my best to get through some shopping this week. I also have Mr. Festive's birthday next week to!

My two year old is keeping me on my toes these days .........he is into everything, I don't know why he is so suddenly mischievous!!!! LOL

I'll try and pop by again later. Thinking of each of you and sending the very best wishes!

Sam xxx

Hope you feel better soon!!!!!!

Good morning everyone...It's Wednesday and you know what that means...It's Thanksgiving Day Eve (bet you thought I was going to say something else; huh!). It's a cold, windy and rainy morning and it's just now starting to turn over to freezing rain and sleet. At least I'm already at work and not on the road.

I started my thanksgiving day prep for the Turkey last night by going to the grocery store, the turkey is thawed out and will be brined today, the stuffing and other items is prepped, so we're getting there.

I noticed this year they are not having Miracle on 34th street (1947) on TV, right after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade...So, I'm going to have to break out the DVD's and put it in, it's sort of a tradition with me. Years past, they used to also have the Wizard of Oz on TV as well, Oh well...I'll do it myself...

Still packing, and looking for houses, we got into a bidding war for another house yesterday and this morning and I believe/ have a feeling that we lost again. It will be the 5th house that we liked and lost because of one thing or another; It's a very disheartening process which can really bring you down. If we don't get this one, then we will have to move twice and that will totally stink... Keep your fingers crossed for me, I need a miracle.

Well, since I'm here at work, I guess I have to start doing some. lol....I'll be checking in here today from time to time...

Good Luck with the house!!!!!! I hope your feeling is wrong and that you get this one!!!

She is doing well, thank you for asking.
And the shots are getting easier for me to do every week.
How are you Made? Thinking about you!

I miss all my friends here at MMC these days...

It's 4 days till moving day, and the house is a mess!
All my Christmas stuff is in boxes in my living room
(just make me crazy that I can't decorate)

But, I can't wait to get into our new home on Sunday
The Christmas stuff is going up FIRST! :-D

Even though it's chaos here, I'm preparing a Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.
My turkey goes in the oven early tomorrow morning...
I have invited my parents so we will be 9 people this year.

Looking forward to it - and to watch my favorite movie:
Christmas Vacation tomorrow evening!

Well, I hope you have a FANTASTIC day!!!!!!

Glad to hear that she is doing well and that you are doing better with the shots!!!

Enjoy your thanksgiving and I'll be praying the move goes smoothly!!!

Good morning! Busy day ahead ... once I get out of the office (which I hope is early), I want to prep the front room for the Christmas tree, then haul the tree upstairs, check the light strings, replace any dead bulbs, and string the lights on the tree. It's not easy, 'cause I wrap them similar to the way pre-lit trees are done, but the effect is worth it. Hoping to relax a little afterward, 'cause we've been out shopping the past two evenings and getting home just in time to go to bed.

I really enjoy Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving Day and the long weekend! I hope yours is special!

Hope you got out early!!!! Have fun setting up the tree!!!!

Have fun babysitting!!

Have a great day, buddy!!

xx

Thanks, friend!!!! We did have some fun!!!

Hope your day is going well too!!!!

xx

I hope the babysitting goes smoothly! Have a great day!!!

Thanks, HMG!!!!! They were pretty good. They just fought over who was going to stir the pot first when we made the macaroni salad and baked corn.

Good morning!
Feeling tired today, I didn't have a good night of sleep. Molly must have had a belly ache because she woke me up a couple of times to let her out. Of course it had to happen on a night that we had heavy rain and gusty winds. That wasn't fun. The rain is supposed to continue in to late this afternoon.
I thought I wouldn't have to go anywhere today but I have already been to the supermarket this morning. Lets see how many times I have to run out to get something that I forgot to buy!
I plan on cooking, baking and prepping as much as I can today. I also need to clean and make this construction zone look as good as it could possibly look.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Praying that Molly is feeling better and that you got some rest!!!!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! Not only that, we're going to the mountains tomorrow! That is, assuming the roads aren't too icey up there.

I'm off work today, planning to clean out my nasty truck for the drive to North Carolina tomorrow. I went by Jim's shop to work on the car this morning, but he's not there yet. I'll go back after lunch.

I missed Rudolph last night! That's what I get for not checking in here after work yesterday.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Hope you have a great thanksgiving and enjoy your vacation!!!! Stay safe out there on the roads!!!!

Hey, made it to the end! Could not answer all the posts because I have to leave for work soon, but I did read them all between jobs around the house.
My Gingerbread bridge is all done and will be delivered this evening.

Day off tomorrow, have to take some boxes for operation Christmas Child to the depot in Cambridge tomorrow and in the evening I will find out if I won anything with my entry.

Have a fantastic day everyone, if I get back in time I will go to the Pines.

Hope you had a great day at work and good luck with the competition!!!!

Good afternoon, Christmas family!

Camden update: he is home!!! He has to be quarantined for a bit after all he has been through, but my sister told me that he is doing really good!!! Thank you all so very much for the thoughts and prayers!!!

I am wicked sleepy right now so I put on another pot of coffee. When I checked my turkey this morning, it was just starting to get soft so it is looking good that it will be thawed out in time. My brother got a free one at work and he gave it to me - it's huge! There will be lots of leftovers!

Back to work!

Have a MERRY day!!!

That is great to hear about Camden!!!! I'll keep him in my prayers!!!

Hope you are having a great day Meceka!!!!

GMorning everyone. 5.40am in Australia and I'm thinking about how busy u all are for Thanksgiving. It all sounds exciting and yummy! I hope u all have a fantastic, memory making good time! Cheers Virginia Oh and thanks for the recipes Holiday. I would have thanked u sooner but I was zzzzzzzzz.

Hope you are having a great day Virginia!!!

Hello all. I'm late checking In today. Well the office population has dwindled down and as soon as I can I will be making my exit. Hope y'all are having a good day!

Hope you are home with the family now!!!!

Good afternoon everyone!

Happy 'Pines Day! Happy Christmas Season! Happy Thanksgiving Eve to all those celebrating tomorrow in the US. I'm sure you're all excited to gather around and eat some delicious food! The festivities will be wonderful.

I'm home again. It's a little disappointing to not receive a call today, but it was expected. We were hit with about 15-20cm of heavy snow last night. All busses for school boards in the area were cancelled. Of course, there isn't a need for a supply teacher if the busses are cancelled! Oh well... For the second day in a row, I have been hanging out with a new member of the apartment... Pauli, the cat! Pauli is the cat of our future roommate Cassie, who is a really close friend of ours. Cassie is not moving in until sometime in December. She's currently back in her hometown spending time with her mom, who only has a few days/weeks remaining after her cancer came back for the third time. It's too bad, but we can only hope they're both strong and fight their battles as best as they can. It will be tough, but Kim and I are hopeful that we can still make this a joyous season for Cassie.

In regards to today, I managed to get out for an hour or so and visit the Rideau Centre. I took some photos, which I will post momentarily in the Blossoms Thread. I think there are still a few places I need to visit and photograph. The most disappointing part of the Rideau Centre this year is that there is only one main store remaining. Nordstrom's, which took over the lease of Sears, is not opening until mid 2014. Therefore, aside from the mall decorations and busy displays inside stores within the mall, The Bay is the only option to have plenty of space dedicated to Christmas. And, aside from a few trees and garland here and there, The Bay is quite disappointing. Obviously, they have their Christmas Street, which photographed earlier in the year, but nothing else. I photographed a few things in Christmas Street again, too. I think they changed a few things... Hope you enjoy.

Anyway, that was a long post. I should get to uploading those photos. Have a great Wednesday everyone! Carl certainly has done a great job going from Christmas to Thanksgiving. I'm sure he's excited to return it to Christmas shortly after, too! Although he gave me an awkward look when I came in today, he said there were no hard feelings about getting my days wrong. I really thought yesterday was Wednesday! I guess I'm al wrapped up in the Christmas Season... Aren't we all!? Enjoy your celebrations. Merry Christmas!

Praying for Cassie, her mom and the rest of her family.

Hope you are having fun with Pauli!!!
