Christmas Countdown - 2013

We did not have black Friday at our store, just a few people who acted like we did.
We had a family in today who spent the entire time at the store and checkout fighting with each other. My goodness, it was so noisy for awhile. They were yelling at each other and then one woman started fighting with a two year old who had opened a bottle of shampoo. Then the other lady started yelling at her to stop it and open the paper towels and clean it up and how shameful it was that a 50 year old was fighting with a two year old. They actually got into a slapping match! It got worse from there and they took almost half and hour to leave! They were criticizing everything about each other. I felt so sorry for the poor child, what a crazy home to have to grow up in.

They truly fit the saying "All our customers make us happy, some when the come, some when they leave!"

What a poor example they are setting.
Is it a full moon?!

We had some ridiculous people, too. But I took over when they were terrible to our employees. Grrr! Makes me angry.

It is the holiday season, people!! Be kind to each other!

Hi all, just having kiev for lunch waiting for paint to dry b4 deciding if I need a second coat. I hate ceilings!! Especially how it looks like I've missed bits after neck breaking hours of work. Unfortunately the house is over 30yrs old and the previous owners did some unfortunate home renos. Even several professionals that I have paid to do plastering haven't done a good job and it fustrates me that I can't get it perfect. Oh well, I'll cover it with tinsel!!!

I like the way you think!! Tinsel would look festive & beautiful!! =]

Hope it dries beautifully, sounds like you've put a lot of work into it.

Hello all. Well we braved the mall today and it was packed!!! I have never seen it so busy. Anyone else shop? Snow, how did it go working in that crazy mess?

Hey friend!

It actually went better than I expected. We were staffed well, and I was an FEC most of the morning- talking to customers, and getting some feedback. I also kept them busy while in line, and let them know when we were ready for them. It keeps the line moving fast. There's always a few grumpy people, and so I would stop and to rescue the cashiers. But we had plenty of people there so that was good! Thanks for asking!

My first time online today. Slept in this morning, had breakfast, and started in to wrap gifts and pack gifts for mailing. I'm almost done---just have to wait for a gift card I ordered to arrive before I make up the last package, and I'll wrap Mr.'s gifts sometime when he's not home. I still have some cards to write, too, and I'll make some cookies before Christmas.

I might go in to the office tomorrow to decorate around my desk while the office is closed. (Someone may be there anyway---advertising knows no regular hours.) I'm taking Monday off, so I'll have to hit the ground running Tuesday. It'll be nice to come in and have the decorations already up by then. Hoping to decorate our Christmas tree here at home on Sunday or Monday.

Well, I gotta go do a couple things around the house before I sit down for the evening. I hope everyone enjoyed shopping, wrapping, relaxing, or whatever you do on (the day formerly known as) Black Friday.

Every time I buy something for the girls I hide the bag somewhere in my bedroom. I need to start wrapping soon or I'm going to be in trouble!

Good evening, Christmas family! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Mine was good, just busy and tiring. We're very busy at work and I had to stay late today, so that made matter worse for my sleep pattern, but things will get better!

I am hoping one of these days I will be able to get back here and read the posts more, but I just haven't been able like I want. I will soon have to lay down and try to get a nap before heading back to work tonight.

I am looking forward to having the weekend off. Lots of Christmassy things planned!

Yes, I am still awake.

The tree is up and decorated, it's beautiful. It took me nearly 6 hours from bringing it upstairs, to hanging the last ornament. I am exhausted and I work in the morning.
