Christmas Countdown - 2013

We're going to spend the evening downstairs looking at some 16mm film. We always kick off the Christmas season with a kinescope of a 1950s live Lawrence Welk show that features Christmas music. Poor Alice Lon---while she sings her solo, both her dress straps manage to fall down, but she bravely carries on!

Going to put on some comfy sweats and get comfortable. I'm going to try to crochet a snowflake garland that I have a pattern for.

Not a busy day at work, but I am still very tired from my overnight shift on BF.
We are having a turkey dinner tomorrow, you're all invited.

I am heading to bed soon.

Good evening!
It's been a long day. That's what I get for waking up at 5:00 a.m. Unfortunately a couple of the girls are opening tomorrow so I will be getting up early again. I'm praying that Molly sleeps through the night. I really need to get a few hours of sleep without her waking me up. She still isn't feeling well. She has been so restless at night. I will call the vet first thing Monday morning if she doesn't improve by tomorrow. I don't know what is going on with these animals lately. If it's not one, it's another.
Anyway, I picked up a few Christmas gifts for the girls at the mall today. I don't really like going to the mall on the weekend, it's a little too crowded for me. I'm use to going during the week when it's pretty quiet. But there are some great sales going on right now and I wanted to take advantage of them. I also stopped at Kohls and I got them each one of those heated mattress pads. I had one when I was a teenager and I loved it.
Oh and I stopped at Hallmark and picked up another ornament. I got the little snowman that is on the cover of the Dream Book. He's so cute!
