they are clementines, from morocco
next time I make some I will have to try it with the cranberries

I have made cranberry sauce with oranges in it, really good. Funny how I do not like to eat oranges yet love them in different dishes.
The cranberry relish sounds good, does she have a recipe you can share?

Oooh Clementines! Nope we don't have those.

I'll ask her for it. :-)

So in the closing session of this conference and they brought in a stand up comedian. He is really bad...so bad it's awkward.

A Nativity Scene was erected in a church yard. During the night, someone came across this. An abandoned dog was looking for a comfortable, protected place to sleep. He chose baby Jesus as his comfort. No one had the heart to send him away so he was there all night. We should all have the good sense of this dog and curl up in Jesus' lap from time to time. This is too sweet not to share. No one mentioned that the dog breed is a "shepherd!" FYI: THIS POOCH WAS RESCUED BY A CHURCH MEMBER

Aw, that is so wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing this story and photo!

Hey everyone!!!! I hope all of You are happy and merry and feel christmassy!!!!!

Today Kandice and I are watching Charlie and the chocolate Factory.......the new version....love, love, love it....and Kandice loves the smallish, tiny Ooompa Loompas

Prayers, please, for a young mother who is a custodian at my school. She has stage 4 breast cancer that is now showing up in her bones. So sad for her two young sons.

That is so sad - I will keep them in my prayers!

Hi, everyone! I am finally caught up - on today at least! You are all in my thoughts and prayers, even though I haven't found much time to post lately. I finished my last assignment for school yesterday so now I have all of the free time in the world, for the most part!

I was trying to reply for literally an hour and a half and it kept redirecting me to another page. I could not figure out what the problem was until I accidentally only pasted in part of my post when I went to try again. Then I realized that there were three greater than symbols in a row somewhere and that was the cause of the problem. Weird, huh? Took them out and the post went through just fine!

It is very late so I am going to go brush my teeth and get ready for bed. We are supposed to get some terrible weather overnight and tomorrow. The news channels are saying that it is going to be extremely icy and bad out for the morning rush here. If you can please pray for my dad and brother - my dad is on the road all day long and my brother has a long commute to work. Luckily my mom and I ran our errands today so we can stay at home and relax!

Good night, everyone!!!

Prayers on the way.

Hope it doesn't get as bad (ice) as they say it's going to! Prayers for your Dad & brother going up! You all stay safe!

Thank you, Holiday!!

Ok guys, I am having a terrible decision to make here. My hubby (and I) have been wanting a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier for quite awhile. I always said I wouldn't get one until Buster is no longer with us. I just don't want to do that to him. He is almost 18 years old & to bring in a crazy pup, I'm just not sure. BUT Soft Coated Wheatens are hard to come by around here. The place we would probably get one from is 3+ hours from here & they have 1 female left from the last litter. The owner is hoping for another litter in 4-5 weeks, which would mean they would be available sometime in March. Buster is doing ok. He's just old - his back end/hips are starting to wear out & I hate it & I don't know how much longer he will be with us! Hopefully for awhile yet, but no guarantee's - he's 18!! Anyway - I thought about buying this pup, taking a day off work to go get it, (without the hubby's knowledge) & having it here when my hubby gets home from work (which his work has been grueling the last few weeks & I know it would put a big smile on his face!!) - I have no doubt that he would be SO excited & then his next look/question is going to be "2 dogs? really???" One advantage to getting it now is that hopefully it will be trained - or close to being trained before we start remodeling our house in late spring/early summer. 2 disadvantages are - I don't know what this would do to Buster & if the pup gets attached to Buster & then he passes on....we have a sad pup! Right now I am "babysitting" for my friends dog while they are on a cruise & my sisters dog (the birthday girl who is at the Biltmore) & he is OK with them being here. But they are both older dogs, so they are not crazy!! He doesn't love it that they are here, but he doesn't make much of it. So Animal lovers - chime in with your thoughts/ideas please!

You are the 1st people that I have told that I am even thinking about this!!! Lol!

That being said - I probably won't be back on until Sunday or hopefully Monday at the latest, so you all have a WONDERFUL CHRISTMASSY weekend!!!

Bless Buster! 18 - wow! If it were me, I would wait a little longer. It will be challenging to have a little puppy running around this time of year, especially with all of the decorations. If you're more worried about the remodeling and trying to train the pup at that time, then I'd go through with it now. Either way, you get an adorable pup. Good luck!

Morning! I only managed to read some of the posts but I've got to get back. I feel like time is moving to fast. I am not even looking at the countdown numbers anymore! We have a nice weekend planned. I'm off work and hubby's birthday tomorrow! Christmas movies marathon on Sunday I think !

Hope you all are having a wonderful day.

Snowflake , I hope that you recover very quickly , nothing worse than being sick around this time of year! You and everyone else are in my thoughts and prayers.

Time is moving so fast, I definitely agree with you there! Happy birthday to your hubby!

Sending up prayers for you dad and brother!

Thank you, HMG!!

Praying that you & your family stay safe

xx

Thanks, Snowflake!! I hope you are feeling much better today!

Good morning, MMC~

Thank you for all of the thoughts & prayers.
I got a good night's sleep, so hopefully that will help.

I have my cold stash ready to take to work w/ all of the necessary supplies.

It is currently -3 degrees here....Brrr!

Poor Harlowe is having a tough time with the temps. The groomer cut her hair too short, and we're having troubles getting her to walk, etc. right now. Her paws trouble her pretty quickly.

What are your weekend plans?

Hope you all have a wonderful, Christmassy day!

I hope that you feel much better as the day goes on. I am sorry to hear that poor Harlowe is having trouble with the weather. I will say some extra prayers for her! I don't have anything special planned for the weekend since we're getting all of this ice. How about you?

the only thing I managed to get made was some fudge, used a new recipe, it is not to bad, should have stuck to my old recipe. Oh well, it is still chocolate!

I love fudge! At least you tried the new recipe. I guess you never know until you try whether something is going to be better or worse. Chocolate is always good!

Keeping your dad and brother in my prayers.

Thank you, Made!!

I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you also have a great day - how is the weather?

She often has stomach issues, so I worry how we are going to deal with that in these extreme temps. She is one of those pups who needs a walk.

XOXO

Awww, poor Harlowe. Do you have a spacious room where she could walk? Or a room where you could move some things around so she has some extra space? Then she could stay inside, be warm and cozy, but still get some exercise. I cleared out an area for myself downstairs so that I could exercise, even in the winter. I walk every day in the spring and summer outside, so I know how icky it can be when it gets cold!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's going to be in the mid-80's today, and everyone is getting ready for the Christmas parade tomorrow...LOL. Still, it should be a fun time. We're going shopping after church on Sunday, then to a live nativity. It's supposed to be a large section of Bethlehem, while donkeys & camels (looking for Carl!), and folks wearing period clothing. Sounds neat!

I hope y'all have a great day!

Wow, what warm temperatures! We're only at thirty degrees here. I hope that you enjoy the Christmas parade tomorrow!

Good morning!
We are expecting rain here today with a high of 50 degrees.
Bentley is driving me crazy this morning. I can't believe the energy this cat has. This is the first male we ever had. I don't know if it has anything to do with being a boy or not, but none of my females behaved like this. He is running back and forth across the house, up and down the stairs, across all of the furniture. He was on my dining room table and actually jumped at my chandelier. Then he jumped on a shelf in my wall unit and knocked over one of my Yorkie plates and broke it. He's stressing me out!!!
Anyway, I am going to do some more Christmas shopping today. I also need to make a menu plan and grocery list for next week. I'll probably go to the butcher later too and get that over with.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Sheesh, Bentley sounds hyper! All of the cats that I have witnessed are usually calm and like their own space. I hope that he calms down and takes a much needed nap! Planning out the menu sounds fun! My mom and I need to do that very soon. One of my favorite things that we make for Christmas Eve is homemade wedding soup. My mom's is the best!

Okay, all of the neighbors cars are cleaned off and the mess made by the maintenance guy plowing is cleaned up. Just in time for the it to start snowing again. Ugh!!! LOL!!!

Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk 2

How much snow are you up to now? Of course the mess is cleaned up and then it starts again!

BRRRRRRR....it's cold....

Sleet, snow, ice, and a snow day...but hey, at least we still have power!

I've got chili cooking....anybody want some?

Stay safe! We have the same weather here. I'd love some chili - it sounds delicious! I'm making tacos if you'd like some, lol!

Good afternoon!
Five in the afternoon here now

We have a lot of snow!!! Wow! ⛄

But I almost drow of the highway earlier..
Could not see a thing! I got really scared!
All my kids in the back and ice on my window.
Had to stop several times to scrape it off!

Im glad we came home safe!

How are you guys? ❤

I am so glad that you and your family are safe, Solice! That sounds like such a scary experience. As pretty as snow is, it's not fun to drive in. I hope you have a nice evening!

I just put beef stew in the crockpot so I'll swap you some!!!!

Stay safe, friend!!!!

If you share some of your beef stew you can have some tacos that I'm making! Lol!

Well, I intended to spend the day here...but rumor has it that only 1/4 of our town still has power...and we are it.

I've got my phone all charged, but I plan on using it to listen to scanners and check the weather...so if I leave, it might be a few days...they are telling people right now to expect no power for 7 days...that's the bad news....

the good news is yesterday, Entergy spent the entire day storing equipment and items in an old factory here...there are tons and tons of trucks here last night...we are like a hub...so maybe it won't be 7 days after all...I mean, if they are using a facility here...you would think they will need power in it....oh well, just wishful thinking...

No power for seven days?! Goodness! Everyone will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you don't lose power. Stay safe!

I received a 5lb box of those little oranges, do not really care for them but cannot say no to a gift! So I am making some marmalade out of them. Only made one batch before and burned that one so I will be extra careful with this one. I really like marmalade so it will be nice to have a few jars handy.
The house is smelling really nice with that cooking on the stove. Takes 40 min of cooking to soften the peels before the jam can be made.
In between this I am cleaning and finishing the decorating, which I am way behind on!

I wouldn't know what to do with 5 pounds of oranges, LOL! Marmalade sounds like a wonderful idea, though!

marmalade came out perfect! Put a touch of ginger in it, so good! It was only a half recipe so only 5 small jars, but that is enough for the whole winter, unless I give some away for Christmas. 2 seals have popped already.

I am glad that it came out perfectly! Ginger added sounds delicious.

Everyone dealing with ice and snow and power outages---I hope you can keep warm and safe and ride out the storm.

After such a wonderful day yesterday, I woke up sick at 4 a.m. So I'm trying to stay hydrated and I'm nibbling on toast and sipping broth. Going to try to watch a movie, but may wind up taking a nap.

Thanks, Merry! I am so sorry that you woke up sick. That's terrible. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. The important thing is to definitely keep hydrated! Gatorade may not sound like the most delicious drink in the world, but it is really the best when you're not feeling good. I've had doctors tell me that it's basically an IV in a bottle! It works wonders on me and my family members when we're sick.

No work today, thanks to the ice storm!!!

Glad that you were off from work - stay safe!!

Looks like Accuweather is predicting for the Mid-Atlantic area to get some of that ice and snow for later this weekend. I love the snow, but I don't like/ care for the ice that much...

I'm in the icy mix part!

So in the closing session of this conference and they brought in a stand up comedian. He is really bad...so bad it's awkward.

LOL! I can imagine how awkward and uncomfortable that has to be!

Hey everyone is it just me or is this season racing through to fast! We have our Christmas tree festival in full swing and tomorrow morning I'm off to a woodland centre Christmas festival with reindeer and everything! Such a shame I'm working and not just there to enjoy!

Come on!!!! I tried my best!!!! It's hard with out Valerie there to make fun of!!!!

We are up to about 4 inches or so. The salt I put down seems to be doing the trick on the sidewalk though and it's not really sticking to it. It's going to keep snowing until midnight or so though, so that will probably change as the temps drop.

Tacos? Yum!!!!! I'm on my way with a bowl for you!!!

has nothing to do with being a male, Penny behaves that way almost every day. She how ever has never broken anything in her adventures, that is a man thing for sure!

Palmer is a hyper cat, too, and she is almost 2 1/2. She breaks things, too - that is why one of her nicknames is the Palminator. cheesy
