Well I am just about to give the children their Christmas eve goody bags filled with a few treats to enjoy and occupy them throughout the day. I am going to make a big breakfast and then enjoy the day with the family. Movies, music , cooking and a few board games for much of the day.

That is both ugh and yea at the same time. I would never buy them at regular price, but to buy them it means the season is ending.

We've a huge storm heading our way with 90 mph winds, snow and possible power outages. Deep joy!!!! As we are planning on our big meal on Thursday (Bruce is going to his dads tomorrow), the power thing will not, hopefully, be a problem and we can spend Christmas day eating sandwiches and chips and dip!!!

I'll be popping in and out all day (fingers crossed) but in case I don't get back, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season with love and laughter, friends and family.

I am so sorry that I haven't been here the past couple of days. I feel like I'm missing out on all of the excitement! It has been so hectic preparing for everything. Christmas Eve is the day that we have company over and Christmas Day it is usually just my family. I cannot believe it is here already!!!! All of the food was prepared today for tomorrow's dinner. I will exchange presents tomorrow with my brother, my brother's girlfriend, and my grandpa. As for the rest? I have to wait for Santa, of course!

I may be in my 20's but there is nothing more exciting than waking up on Christmas morning! My parents have always made it so special for my brother and me and I am so appreciative of them. I cannot wait to have kids so I can do the same for them! I am really excited to see everyone open their gifts from me! I love surprising them and making them smile!

Good Morning, Folks.

Getting a little excited.

Well, we started warm yesterday but it got steadily colder as the day wore on, albeit at a fairly slow rate.
Regardless, cool weather is now here to stay for a while. At least it should be dry.
We have started this long-awaited Christmas Eve at 42 degrees here in the capital city, as we eagerly await Santa's appearance.


OK, now.
Today. The 'Pines!
Carl is already with the biggest bash of the year.
Christmas EVERYWHERE!
Decorations galore.
Christmas music pouring out of every speaker.
Christmas movies running continuously in the inn's theater.
Holiday-themed door prizes.
A Christmas buffet you simply won't believe. (And allegedly no weird blends to have to guard against!)
Drop by.
You'll be glad you did.....or sad you didn't.

Thanks loads for your continuing and enthusiastic support of our countdown thread this year. It just gets better and better all the time.

*faints* WHAT??? Okay, does anyone else get that as morbid? Putting out Easter candies for sale, the holiday which for most people, marks Christ's death and resurrection when we're still celebrating his birth? I'm just sayin' - I think or at least, I hope the majority of those celebrating it are still in fact celebrating it for those reasons and not just a basket of candy and a cute bunny.

I digress - Happy happy Christmas thoughts!! It's Christmas Eve!!! YEA!!!
