The radio station that was playing Christmas music has gone back to it's regular format today. I thought they would kind of ease back into it, maybe keep it going to the New Year or something. They mostly play classic rock, which is what I like, but I am just not ready to go back to it yet.

Good evening,

Christmas Day is slowly winding down here. Ralphie is off the TV, but we have popped in a Christmassy DVD. The boys had a great Christmas, our family had a great time the last couple of days. I made a prime rib, my MIL made a turkey we had a great feast tonight. Every year Christmas seems to get better and better, it is sad to see this glorious day coming to an end.

The boys are finally in bed, we won't be long behind them.

I hope you all had a great Christmas, I look forward to celebrating it everyday with all of you.

Merry Christmas to all, and all a good night!

Merry Christmas! Sounds like you had a great one!

Well, this one was one for the books! talk about tired! We have been all over the place. The Little Bambina was so wore out from the previous two days that she slept almost 12 hours yesterday.

Here is what I (re)learned...you have got to be organized, but especially with a little one. The shopping needs to be done early, wrapping needs to be done early, diaper bags must be constantly checked, and you have to keep a schedule. All of these things we are going to talk about in the next couple of days. The wife suggested having somewhat of a debrief so that was can remember what we need to work on next year.

It was soooo much fun, but it was sure hectic.

My brother got home tonight and we visited with them for a few hours. Now, it's time for us to go to bed and sleep great! See yall tomorrow.

Comes naturally after a while and you do it all on auto. Then when they're grown you feel like you're forgetting something all the time. Such wonderful and unique times then and now!!

Yeah - I know what you mean. On the drive over to my parents' house this evening I turned over to the station I've been listening to all month expecting Christmas carols and instead got smooth jazz and contemporary. Bummer.

That's okay, turned on Pandora on my phone and plugged in to the truck. LOL

Good Morning guys! I have just finished reading all the posts I missed since Christmas Eve. I was laughing, smiling and tearing up reading about everyone's time.

After I posted on Christmas Eve , we had a lovely, quiet day spent at home. The children loved the goodie bags and Mr. Festive even got one too LOL!

Christmas morning was fun and cosy. The children tore into their presents and hubby and I had no choice but to delay opening our presents until we could locate them under all the wrapping paper. Isaac was like a deer caught in headlights for a bit. As he is two now this was a very special Christmas because he understands things a little more. Next year will be the big one for him when he will be 3 and really understands the excitement and anticipation. I remember the Christmas Jacob was 3, it was truly a magical one!

The rest of the day was pretty hectic and I always wish it wasn't every year. After presents we went over to my mother in law's house where all the my husbands immediate family also visited. We didn't stay long as they are a bunch of grinches and we really would rather not be there! Once we came home I skyped my mum for a bit . After that I made our Christmas dinner and my Yorkshire puddings caught fire in the oven so to quote coach I have no stinking idea what happened!! Christmas night I was having trouble keeping my eyes open but I didn't want to go to bed. I didn't want it to end. The actual day is over so fast and ofcourse with young children you can't always just put your feet up as much and it never goes to plan!

Yesterday was a slower day thankfully. I am reminding myself that although the 25th has gone it is still Christmas. Now is the time to really enjoy it as I don't have to stress about prep or shopping, as I have finished all that :)

I am looking forward to New year's eve. It will be a quiet one spent just watching TV, movies ,snacking and counting down till midnight. Although I won't take decorations down till around the 6th or 7th New years day is kind of the end here in the house if I'm being honest :(

Well I hope you all are having a wonderful time carrying out celebrations. Another slow day here for us today. I think Mr Festive is out tonight as one of his best mates is visiting from out of town. Think I will have a girlie night in and watch The Holiday :)

It is so hard to believe Christmas day has come and gone but the season is only 10 months away.......... we better start preparing lol !

Good Morning, Friends.

Yep. Crown's still here enjoying a relaxing week with my family.
Hope all of your are thoroughly enjoying the still-running Christmas Season 2013.

But rest assured, on Jan 1, "Christmas Countdown - 2014" will debut.
You can Count on it!

Which brings me to my annual bittersweet warning that this thread will permanently lock at 12:00 AM (EST) Jan. 1.

What a great run we've had this year!

Our local stations went back to their regular format but I was happy to see that the Sirius stations still had the Christmas music going. I'm not sure how much longer it will be playing, I'm going to miss it when it stops.

It's hard to stick to a regular schedule during the holidays, its such a busy time. Everything will fall back in to place. I'm happy you all had a wonderful time! Baby's first Christmas is extra special!!!

A little recap of our Christmas.

Christmas Eve we had our family come over for food, games and gift giving. We listened to Kringle Radio the entire time and it was great! Our yearly tradition on Thanksgiving and Christmas is playing bingo and passing out prizes to the winners. Lots of laughs and lots of fun!

Christmas Day, Snow-in-Texas and I exchanged our gifts with each other then went to my job to feed all the animals, they need a little Christmas too! I bought some duck feed from our store and we headed to the lake to feed them. The weather was mild and quite a few people were out there. We passed out duck feed to some of the kids who were there so they could help us feed them. There were LOTS of hungry ducks! We came home and I fixed us a big lunch. We had lunch and watched The Bishop's Wife. I love that movie! We just had a very nice relaxing day listening to music and watching more Christmas movies/shows. It was great!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a nice day here with a high in the mid 40's. So hopefully by the end of the day, my street won't be a sheet of ice anymore!!! I don't have a whole lot of my agenda for today. The main thing I need to get done is to clean out my closet but with all of the empty totes and boxes from the Christmas decorations in my room. I don't know if I have the room to do it. So I may say forget it and go shopping. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!
