Thanks to all for all the wishes. My throat doesn't soar anymore but my nose is just killing me. I hate being sick! :/ The weather has been crazy here lately as well. It isn't possible to get a good night's sleep because the wind is so strong that is seems it will eventually break all the windows of the house. Last night was horrible and it doesn't seem like tonight is gonna be any better. It doesn't look like winter at all!
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing fine, enjoying your Christmas presents and getting ready for New Years! I have already made my New Year's resolutions list. Is there anyone else here making one too? :]
I feel your frustration with being sick. I'm someone that suffers migraines and if it comes with that 'v' word I am moaning and sobbing into the bucket 'cause i hate it and my family don't know what to do to help because I usually keep soldiering on... I actually carry the bucket around doing the washing!!!!
Too cool!! What kind of scarf and afghan? Stitch and yarn type? I'm a total novice at it, but love it! I like making scarves - I probably own more cowls and scarves than any one else in Florida just because of it. LOL. And amigurami little plushy types. I did a bunch of pumpkins and ghosts at Halloween.

Ugh that's awful! I am so sorry. I get occasional sinus headaches that are blinding so I feel so badly for people who get migraines since that is presumeably way worse. :-(

I can only pinpoint the cause of mine to some scents, stress, sugar overload (and chocolate is part of any staple diet
) sugar underload (bit too afraid to try the sugarfree diet my workmates are on) and msg (and I love Smiths crisps 
) but there are so many triggers. I read once that some people take antihistamine and I tried it but it knocked me out for a few hours and I felt blahhh all day.

My resolution is to be myself more, rather than hiding my enjoyment of the simple things because people scoff. I'm going to remember that these things make me who I am and I hope it makes me a better person and hopefully people are affected positively by the happier me. Being happy with who I am will help me make a positive difference in the world around me.... what is that carry over effect? You smile and the world smiles with you?

When they say you should prick holes in your potato before baking to prevent it from exploding.... DO IT! I am not sure how I missed that step. What a fun find when opening the oven. Surprise!

In Dollar General about 30 minutes ago getting some cat food - aisle where the Christmas stuff had been was now grossly populated by Valentines Day paraphernalia. GACK!!
