We ended up watching "Holiday Inn" tonight instead of Charlie Brown. We did record good ol' Chuck though. One more day of the year left to go, I am really starting to fight the onset of PCBs, knowing decorations, commercials, music will be disappearing soon. New Year's Day is always one of the most depressing days of the year to me. I wish I didn't feel that way every year, and every year I mope around.

I will leave you tonight with something cheerful, a picture I took of the tree in the red room on Christmas Eve. I just love the way the sun lit up the room.

My large Santa was wrapped in that plastic bag looking thing on the left side of the picture.

Good night, everyone.

Looks great!:-D

Frozen looks really good actually. What happened to the Hobbit Virginia?

Weeelllll I like Tolkien and the movies but my mind keeps wandering during the fighting scenes no matter how well acted and directed. My daughter suggested I see Frozen and hubby see Hobbit because they were on at the same time. We always buy the dvds so I won't miss out. Frozen wasn't what I thought it would be. The ads led me to believe it was about the snowman; too little drama and jokes for me. I thought the kids would be bored but they were well behaved although there was not enough laughter for me to consider it a success. It was a nice light, well sung and directed graphic.

That is beautiful!!!

It's 3.40pm here in my part of Australia and the deed is done. The tree's all packed away with my new purchases. I go through all the decorations and discard the broken ones and I create a theme for the tree next year. It's very exciting! I'm not sure we're doing anything except being deso Dave for the kids tonight. I'm not a fan of joining crowds in this heat for the local fireworks; the sun doesn't go down properly until after 8.30pm and all the good seating spots will be snatched up for the first family fireworks at 9pm. I might be able to see them from here though.

Well, we are done. Took all the decorations down while there was free time. Looks clean, but empty.

But one of the wise gender-neutrals has saying that Christmas is either here or on the way...so here it comes.

Going to do a little work tomorrow and then to a ballgame, then home to do more work. New Year's Day will see me rearrange the garage and get everything cleaned up and put away....plus I will probably watch some football.

However, I won't be watching the Cowboys.

Dang Cowboys.

That's too bad about Frozen. Thought it looked quite good. I'll check it out when it hits Blu-ray.

Are you staying up to see the new year in? Looks like you are half an hour ahead of me, i'm in Adelaide.

I'm glad I saw it. There was a twist I wasn't expecting and I was feeling the anguish of the queen; these are the signs of an engaging movie. The graphics were beautiful and I was imagining how the sculptures would look in my house for Christmas. I wish the snowman had a bigger role 'cause he was funny.

I know I can ask your advice without getting raised eyebrows... I thought about keeping a simple address book in my bag but I like to put everything in my phone; does anyone know of a free app I can get from google play store that will help me keep a list of all my Christmas movies? I just need something simple so I can do a quick check when buying dvds. I've downloaded some that continually have popups and I'm getting frustrated. I used to use notes in an iphone3 but it went kaput and when fixed all the data was lost. Now I have a Samsung galaxy s4. Any help appreciated...

Yeah, the Snowman looks the best going by the trailer. When Elsa say's "It's not nice to throw snow people" I got a chuckle. Looks like he's always being torn apart, poor thing lol.
