I was in Germany before Christmas for a few days at the Christmas markets which are beautiful.

I got a lot going on the next few days that might even go into next week. A lot on my mind as well! Lets just say it's regarding hearing word from my doctor on some test that I am going through. If you don't mind, please send prayers and/or positive vibes my way!

I want to keep this place HAPPY HAPPY so not here to bring doom and gloom to the Countdown. I am just a little anxious and want good news! I will share more later when I hear a report.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends! (I actually typed "Monday" before I remembered)

Yuck, what a nasty, wet morning. It's supposed to freeze here tomorrow, but the rain will be gone, so no snow for us.

Our New Year was pretty good! We stayed at my mom's till after midnight, then yesterday we had black-eyed peas & greens (as one must, if one want good luck), and Jacob and I were invited to a last-minute bird hunt. After that, we had oyster stew for supper. What a great day!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends! (I actually typed "Monday" before I remembered)

It was near 70 degrees yesterday. Snow-in-Texas and I were out riding our bikes too! This morning it's in the mid 20's. Brrrrrr!!! I love cold weather!!!

This morning it's in the mid 20's. Brrrrrr!!! I love cold weather!!!

You should rush here! The high tomorrow is supposed to be 9F, and the low is supposed to be -10F. That's VERY cold for around here. But hurry, because we're expecting about a foot of snow before tomorrow morning.

Had a pretty good first day of the year. Got some honey do's taken care of. And got the outside lights taken down, counted and put away. Made some plans for next years out door lights. Our oldest son has headed out to his girlfriends house. My wife and I and our youngest son are enjoying the NCIS marathon. Dreading getting back into the swing of things tomorrow. Since Im self employed I just try to do what needs doing through the Holidays. But I have to play catch up after the first. I think I just want to move to the north pole and be an elf. :O

ROFL I tell my family that all the time. "One day... when I grow up... I'm going to be the head elf in charge of reindeer's care, health and fitness at the North Pole."

A honey dew, however, is a totally awesome melon that I could live on. That, and Christmas cookies of course.

Good evening!
Holy Moly I have a lot of reading to do, you have all been very talkative today. I was busy running errands and cleaning most of the day. I made some progress. I finished cleaning my bedroom and bathroom and also my walk in closet that was a disaster area. I will tackle another part of the house tomorrow. I also decided to run to the supermarket for a few things because we have snow heading our way tomorrow night. They were out of so many things, I don't know if it was because of the snow or if it was from people shopping for New Years. I have to go to my butcher in the morning because there was hardly any meat in the supermarket. Then as I was getting out of my car, the door kind of collided with my face and now I have a swollen eye that is black and blue! I have no idea how I did that, probably because I'm always in a rush. I'm really tired and I'm going to turn in soon. I hope everyone had a very happy first day of 2014. I will see you in the morning.
