Christmas Countdown - 2014

We're on our 2nd run of Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer already! It's only 10:30 am!

Good morning!
It was 1 degree outside when I woke up, we're now up to a toasty 15. I just heard on the news that some parts of Canada will have wind chills that feel like they are -50. I can't even imagine. I just drove my daughter in to work. We ended up getting a foot of snow, the roads are awful. With the taxes we pay here on Long Island you would think they would do a better job plowing the roads. It's ridiculous.
I'll be in and out driving the girls to and from work. Other than that daily chores. I went to the butcher and bought my meat for the week but I will probably have to go to the supermarket for some other things by tomorrow. I am going to make enchiladas for dinner tonight with tortilla soup which is already cooking in the crock pot. Not too much else going on, I am going to call my parents in a few minutes to check on them and see if they need anything.

Good Morning MMC!!!! The calm before the storm is here and everyone is taking advantage of it. The stores are just crazy. I survived though and now I'm ready to hunker down for a few days!! I'm going to try to get a few things done in the next couple of hours and then it will be time for the Colts game this afternoon!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

I wish that, too, HMG. So often we take good health for granted, but when you have gone through a life-threatening disease, it really hits home. As a kid or teenager, wishing someone good health would have been last on my list; now it is first. Thanks for the reminder.
