Aww!!!! That is so cute!!!!
I agree with her too!!!!

That really is frightening. I drove my daughter in to work the other morning and saw a man jogging in shorts! It was 1 degree when we woke up. Frostbite, hypothermia, slipping on the ice and cracking your head open. No thank you!!!
The advisory for my town:
...WIND CHILL WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST WEDNESDAY...
HAZARDOUS WEATHER...
* WIND CHILLS WILL DROP TO BETWEEN 20 AND 30 BELOW ZERO THIS AFTERNOON AND THEN BOTTOM OUT NEAR 35 BELOW ZERO TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING.
* WESTERLY WINDS WILL CONTINUE AT 15 TO 25 MPH THROUGH THIS EVENING AND BRING SOME BLOWING SNOW.
IMPACTS...
* EXPOSURE TO SUCH BITTERLY COLD CONDITIONS WILL CAUSE FROST BITE IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.
* BLOWING SNOW WILL HAMPER TRAVEL IN SOME INSTANCES...ESPECIALLY FOR EXPOSED NORTH-SOUTH ROADS.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
* A WIND CHILL WARNING MEANS THE COMBINATION OF VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA OR DEATH IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
* PREPARE...PLAN...AND STAY INFORMED.
Graywolf- Praying for your friend. As far as the landlord goes, Well this is a family site.
Oh no...you've been talking to Snowflake too much...her bad language is rubbing off in you!![]()
The malls are all opening at noon now, so we can go shopping too!!!!
LOL!!!! Oh they have been out all morning. There was a lot of business that told their employees to disregard the emergency and get to work. Including Walmart and Kroger.
It was January 16th, 1994 the last time Indy was this cold. I remember it clearly!!! It was a wednesday. School was canceled and I spent the day in front of the fireplace. Then that weekend we went camping with scouts and it still got down to -10 at night.

Somebody jogged passed me when I was shoveling near the foot of the driveway - that person was well bundled up and was probably a lot warmer than I was!
Sometimes local communities will set up shelters in schools or other community buildings during extreme weather. Is this an option for Mary? At least she could get warm for a few hours.
Good afternoon, Christmas family!
We got at least a foot of snow here. Driveway is halfway done and if the plow should go through the very end of the driveway will be quite the mess. Usually a few car lengths either side of the driveway are cleared but I am too tired to do any more. I am quite out of condition since I was taking it so easy with my knee for a good part of the fall. Four out of eleven cats have showed up looking for water and food. Shaggy is outside, reveling in the day - goofy dog!
Be safe, warm and MERRY!!!
14 degrees today and nothing more than a spit of snow. By the time we get more precipitation this week it will be warmed up (50s) and raining.....grrrrr. I'm not complaining too much though; at least the cold is bearable here. My family, pets, and neighbors are all safe and sound and warm. And on that note I'll be enjoying my hot chocolate now..and maybe a nap.
Stay warm everyone!!
