so cute!

so cute!
around here they wait until the morning to decide if school buses will go out or not.Well at least the school districts are being smart about things. Most of them are already canceling school for tomorrow.
yes, you have to be careful, overdoing it can leave you with a sore knee again.Good afternoon, Christmas family!
We got at least a foot of snow here. Driveway is halfway done and if the plow should go through the very end of the driveway will be quite the mess. Usually a few car lengths either side of the driveway are cleared but I am too tired to do any more. I am quite out of condition since I was taking it so easy with my knee for a good part of the fall. Four out of eleven cats have showed up looking for water and food. Shaggy is outside, reveling in the day - goofy dog!
Be safe, warm and MERRY!!!
Hi, Sprinkleshouse - good to see you! Good luck with school! What are you studying?
I finally finished listening to the Merry Podcast #34. It was excellent!
Thanks to Jeff and all of the crew involved.
For those who haven't listened yet, you can check it out here.

It was great to hear some of your voices again, and some of yours for the first time.
So blessed to be a part of this wonderful Christmas family!!
:sparkle:
winter camping is quite popular around here, not nearly as bad as it sounds! You went camping and it was -10 degrees? If I was your mother I wouldn't have let you go, lol. I'm such a killjoy.

it does not have to be winter for that, my friend did that in the summer last year.At least that person was bundled up. I would still be worried about slipping and falling. A couple of years ago my neighbor went for a walk after a snowstorm and fell and broke her arm so bad that she had to have a couple of surgeries. It's dangerous!
Toby is doing good. We've only had one incident: my son was petting him and accidentally touched a sore and Toby snapped at him out of instinct. My son was crushed! It hurt his feelings more than it hurt is finger. They are buddies again though.
My son is gentle with him and would never be rough with an animal (he has a huge heart for all fur kids), but he accidentally touched that sore and Toby just acted out of instinct. I felt bad for Caden...poor guy took it hard.
I could send you some snow, have more than we need14 degrees today and nothing more than a spit of snow. By the time we get more precipitation this week it will be warmed up (50s) and raining.....grrrrr. I'm not complaining too much though; at least the cold is bearable here. My family, pets, and neighbors are all safe and sound and warm. And on that note I'll be enjoying my hot chocolate now..and maybe a nap.
Stay warm everyone!!
Very true!!! We will have to exchange notes!!!
Poor Caden. Like you said, it was out of instinct that Toby reacted. Glad they are already best buds again! They are so sweet together.
Are Happy & Holly liking Toby, too?

They've lived there for nearly 8 years and this has always been the case. Their house hasn't had heat or air since the 1st year. We bought them window units a few years ago for AC, but we all know AC is really more of a luxury. Heat on the other hand, that's a different matter. Last year we bought them a room unit heater, but this year a few of their other ones went out.
Her DH is a pastor at a local church, but it's a small church so not a full time salary. The church members gave him a cash Christmas gift with which they went immediately to the store and bought space heaters. She is keeping as many doors closed as possible to contain the heat and her DH put in all new weather stripping and seals.
She's looked into the matter legally, but their area laws are different regarding landlords. I said the same thing, "He can't do that!!" My response is based on my areas laws. Unfortunately - she doesn't have much recourse. The pastor of the church where she works as a secretary has told her the same thing - not much she can do. He was a DA in Tulsa and his wife is currently a DA in Ft. Smith, AK, so I guess they would know for sure. Heavener is right on the border of OK and AK.
She's also leary of making trouble for the landlord as their options for relocating are limited at this time. They're trying to hold out for another two years where they are till her DH is eligible for his maximum draw on retirement from his pension.
I truly appreciate everyone's kind thoughts, prayers and suggestions!![]()

Oh no...hope y'all don't get into a cursing contest at the Pines this week!
Holly loves playing with him! She is so reserved and this is the first time we've really seen her play like this...it's great. They are close in size, except poor Holly doesn't have any legs (she is short!)
Happy is being a big pouty baby.![]()
That is wonderful for Holly!! And Toby!
Poor Happy =] Give him an extra hug for us!
