Good Morning, MMC!!

Hope you are all safe & warm~

I need to call our property manager! I thought the house felt cold- the heat is not kicking in :/

It's -19 outside, windchill of -36. Yikes, dropping fast inside. Left a message.

Time to turn on the fireplace & make coffee!

Hope you all have a wonderful & blessed day!

Oh no! I hope it's fixed ASAP!

Thanks for the suggestions Sugar, but no. This isn't new to them. Been living through this for years, I just feel badly for them. They have no family there. They're from the VA and NJ areas and that's where all their family remains.

They moved to Heavener in 2002 when her DH took a full time position as a pastor at a church there. After three years of service, the church deacons stated after a recent bible study they didn't think a pastor should be paid a salary and simply removed his salary, just like that. No warning, they just pulled it. Yes, the idea of smiting them with one of Bud's giant sledgehammers DID cross my mind. LOL

She drove into Ft Smith today and picked up another space heater at Aldi's. They're hunkered down in the bedroom where they can shut everything. :-)

1 Timothy 5:18....did they cut that verse out of their Bible?

wonderful that you at least have a fireplace to turn on! We have a space heater we can use for emergencies, but right now it is on in the basement as it is chilliest down there. Kitchen is a close second, wind is coming in through the range hood exhaust and the window has frost on the inside frame.

Yes, I am very grateful for that CS!!

Phew! He just left, and we are back in business.

He was on the roof for a bit, then crawled inside-literally-because of the spikes on his shoes. He had to talk me through the rest, I went down by the furnace, and thank God it was simple enough. Yay! We are warming up as I type.

For my fellow mystery lovers, I bought this iPhone case! Loving it

That is great news and how very efficient to!

I heard a sad bit of news on the radio this morning. The voice of Yukon Cornelius (Larry Mann) has passed away at the age of 91.

Always sad to lose someone you admire.

LOL !

Good COLD Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was 12° when I left for work this morning. That's a deep, deep freeze for this area. We pour concrete where I work, and it's obviously too cold for that, so they sent the guys home early this morning. We admin folks had to stay, though. That's ok. I'd rather stay 8 hours in my warm office than have to work 2 hours out on that cold plant floor!

I left early yesterday to take Nancy to an eye exam, then got home in time to get to my city council meeting. Our county is celebrating its 100 year anniversary this year, and Bellville is hosting passenger train rides from our depot this summer (fun!), so we're planning to start sprucing-up the depot and the city hall (not fun).

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Wow celebrating 100 years is quite special. It sounds very exciting planning for summer which as we all know will be here before we know it. Good luck with the preparations!

It is a lovely 8 degrees here in Maryland. I can't remember the last time it was this cold. I had to find a scarf to cover my nose and mouth, because the cold literally took my breath away. My car doors and windows were frozen shut, and it took forever to warm the car up. It was an experience! I'm glad it's nice and warm here at work!

this is a popular sign on the roads around here today

just behind this is the store where I work, which is why I am not there today.

So glad you can stay home where it's safe & warm!!

Hello all. Hope everyone is warm and safe!

Coach, I love what you wrote. Ever heard the song about when tough little boys grow up to be dads, they turn into big babies again? It's true!

Snow, I love the iPhone cover!

Hope everyone else is great!
