Good afternoon, everyone! How are you all doing? I am well, just sitting and relaxing and getting caught up here. I am currently watching a Christmas episode of Roseanne on WE TV.
What is everyone's plans for today? I really don't have anything planned for today, which I love! Sometimes, days just need to be like that. DH is at work and the kids are at PreK/daycare, so I will just be watching TV and hanging out here.
Well, I am off to grab some lunch and read the other threads. Hope you all have a wonderful day and stay warm. Thinking of you all. Prayers for you all that need them. God Bless and keep smiling.

For those that know me well will probably faint when you hear what I am about to say.... Starting Saturday and for the rest of next week will be in the upper 60's to 70's and I am looking forward to it! That's a shocker, isn't it? I always want freezing weather! I think it's because we have actually had some really cold days that stuck around for a long time with some icy weather. I am not ready for winter to come to an end yet but just looking forward to a few warm days then I want it to get icy cold again!
We plan to take our bikes out to the lake as soon as it gets warm. We are also going to become members of the Dallas Arboretum which is located on the lake and will be nice to walk around there while it's warm. We visit there often since we live very close by to stroll the garden or see concerts. We were just there during the Christmas holidays but decided to join since they built a children's garden. I was way more impressed with it than I thought I would be. We ventured through there for over 2 hours and still didn't see everything and that was just the children's section! I am looking forward to going back with the kids!
This is from the internet but we have seen it a few times and it is amazing. Every fall they have this really nice pumpkin village. They fix the place up for Christmas as well. The membership is good for a year so we will have unlimited access to see everything they have each season.

She---and we---still wonder. You'd think if you were an agent, and one of your clients had an opening to work with the hottest singer in show biz at HIS request, you'd jump at the chance to put that feather in your cap. But the guy just never did anything. Still, what an amazing memory!

Well a lot of the schools are starting to cancel school for tomorrow again. So Christmas break is going to be 3 weeks long this year. When this is one of the better roads in the city though-
I can't say that I blame them.

What is their reasoning for lack of attention to these roads? Not enough equipment/resources? That is just terrible.

They said they are doing all they can. The have stopped laying down salt though and everyone says they don't even have their plows down. They are just out there riding around.

Each store is different, as far as size and selection. But ours is a bigger one in the area, and it carries a lot of natural & organic foods. They have a wonderful produce & meat selection. Ours has wine and beer, too-only some do. But, the majority of their food is Aldi Select brands, so you won't see national name brands. They are all very good, though!
Oh, one thing is that they don't accept credit cards or checks. Cash & debit cards (via pin #'s) are the main accepted payments.
