Christmas Countdown - 2014

Hey Slim, Bradmac just sparked an idea to add another Countdown app! I might add one for the Countdown to the "Bers"! That is when the holiday giddiness starts for me! At least it will feel closer to Christmas when I see that Countdown! I might add another for, Christmas in July too!

Okay, for now I just changed my Countdown that reads "234 day left until the "Ber's". That just sounds sooo much better than "349 days left until Christmas"! My Christmas spirit is in full swing by then and now it seems so much closer!

If you think about it, just like Crown has in this Countdown for the season to start, we should not look at the actual date of Christmas. We all start celebrating way earlier than that! That 349 mark is just way too far. In reality, we are not that far off! =)

No big plans. The girls will all be working. My middle one has super early shifts at Aldi on Saturday and Sunday. She's working 6:00 a.m. both days so we will be waking up extra early. I miss when they were younger and didn't work!
I still have a few gift cards to spend from Christmas, including one for Barnes and Noble. So I'm hoping to do a little bit of shopping. We also have some restaurant cards, maybe if I'm lucky I'll get my husband to stop working and we can have a long overdue date night!

It's 20 degrees outside!! 37 degrees warmer than yesterday morning at this time!

We are expecting snow later this afternoon, too =]

Yes I think along those lines to. I count down to the start of the season and then I stop counting the days then because I just want it to last. Once we get to October my Christmas alarm bells go off!

Now the high for tomorrow will be near 70 degrees. I never thought I would be excited about that but I am! We finally have had cold weather this year and I have enjoyed it very much. This little break with warm weather will be nice. I still want it to get cold again after this week of warm weather and I still want some snow! I am not ready for winter to end just yet! I am not and will never be ready for summer! Summers are terrible here!

I love Barnes & Noble, enjoy some book shopping! I love the coffee shops in there, too. So good!!

We are going to relax, spend some time outside, and go to a new sports lounge in town for a bite to eat, happy hour, and some "winter Olympics". That's our code for dome hockey, basketball, air hockey, etc. We are still big kids!

Good morning!
We are currently at 28 degrees and will have a high of 40 today. We ar expecting a wintery mix this morning that will turn to all rain by this afternoon.
I have walked the dogs so far, straightened up, started laundry and threw together a big pot of vegetable soup in the slow cooker. I need to work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week and then head to the butcher to buy meat for next week. Our supermarkets still don't have a lot of meat on the shelves, I'm not sure whats going on. That foot of snow must have messed the stores deliveries up. I also need to go to the bank and Rite Aid. I'm hoping to have a quiet afternoon, we'll see what happens.

There's a whole flock of seagulls gliding around outside my office window, about 8 or 10 of them. They don't often come this far inland---they must be having a hard time finding enough to eat along the shoreline. We're more than an hour's drive from the ocean.

I feel like I'm getting a cold. Right before a busy Saturday. And it'll probably get busy at the office too. I'll be doing what I can to fight it off or at least minimize it, but I won't be able to rest much. My weapons here are a box of lemon & ginger herbal tea and a jar of honey.

I don't doubt that deliveries have been disrupted. I was just looking at pictures of a frozen Niagra Falls. Now that is something to see!

Took me an hour and a half to catch up....

BABY UPDATE.....

Tonight, she rolled over by herself. Once she figured out how to do it, she did it 50 times.

Mom said once they start moving they never stop until they turn 25.

I hate paint!!! What's worse than paint? LOTSA KIDS PLAYING WITH PAINT (not kids, I love kids!!) on carpet in a small space around book shelves.

And that headache I read about a few posts back... it has traversed the globe and I now have it. I've taken some Aspalgin but unfortunately guys at work saw them and I am embarrassed. I work with great people who are so loving and caring but it makes me weaken in staying on top in my daily struggle with cluster headaches and migraines.

Sorry, it's the headache... I get weepy when I'm not in control.

You guys have battles with the polar vortex (internally too I hear!!) or is it the arctic blast? Play it safe and keep the kids home!!

So many posts! I'll have to wade through them later. About to leave work. It is HOT and I have a forty min drive home ahead of me. Thank god for air-conditioning! Now look forward to the weekend!

I forgot to mention this but I went to Office Depot yesterday to pick up ink for my printer as I was about to check out I saw a clearance table full of 24 pack K-Cups (for my Keurig) for $3.94 a box! I picked up 5 boxes of them. I wish I would have picked up more!

I still have all my indoor decorations up. My neighbor still has her tree up too and there are still plenty of houses around here with their outdoor lights still lit up!

I have an app called "Count Down App Free". I have an Iphone, hope you can download it or something similar for your Android!
