Take my advice and stay off the internet searching doggy illness (if possible)! I had a crying spell for 3 days one time after looking up my dog, Chico's, heart condition. All I read was horrible things as if he was going to drop dead overnight. He is still doing decent, good days and okay days, and was diagnosed nearly a year and a half ago. He still has some "puppy" like spirit in him when he has good days. His okay days are not really that bad. I feel better since I stay clear of reading that stuff now on the internet. I seriously think Chico feels better too! He senses when I am sad and he seems to feel worse when I feel sad. Now I stay upbeat as much as possible and he seems to feel so much better! He still has a serious condition and there is not much I can do except give him his medicine daily, take him to the vet and keep and eye on him. I still worry at times too! That is just being a normal mommy!!!
I know the internet can be valuable during times of worry and very necessary but be careful what you run across. It can be very upsetting! Please write to me anytime since my doggy goes through similar things as Molly. I won't try and scare you!!! Maybe between us both we can comfort each other and get our doggies better!!! cheesy
This applies to people illnesses, too! I made myself a nervous wreck several years ago, diagnosing myself on the internet. I was convinced the doctors were overlooking what I knew was wrong. Turns out, they knew what they were talking about, after all!
The internet can be handy, but the only health issues discussed there are the worst-case. Nobody talks about the symptoms that went away!
