Take my advice and stay off the internet searching doggy illness (if possible)! I had a crying spell for 3 days one time after looking up my dog, Chico's, heart condition. All I read was horrible things as if he was going to drop dead overnight. He is still doing decent, good days and okay days, and was diagnosed nearly a year and a half ago. He still has some "puppy" like spirit in him when he has good days. His okay days are not really that bad. I feel better since I stay clear of reading that stuff now on the internet. I seriously think Chico feels better too! He senses when I am sad and he seems to feel worse when I feel sad. Now I stay upbeat as much as possible and he seems to feel so much better! He still has a serious condition and there is not much I can do except give him his medicine daily, take him to the vet and keep and eye on him. I still worry at times too! That is just being a normal mommy!!!

I know the internet can be valuable during times of worry and very necessary but be careful what you run across. It can be very upsetting! Please write to me anytime since my doggy goes through similar things as Molly. I won't try and scare you!!! Maybe between us both we can comfort each other and get our doggies better!!! cheesy

That is great advice CAH, thank you. You are always concerned about Molly and Maggie and I really appreciate it. I will keep you posted.

I love the kitty and squirrel picture, Homemakingirl! One of my dogs, Maris, loves chasing squirrels! She has no chance on catching them, Thank God! She just runs all over the yard while they are running across the trees.

Lol, my dogs do the same thing. They would never be able to catch one either. But they sure do try!

I hope you had a nice walk!
How are the temperatures by you today?

We did, thanks!

It is sunny & 30 degrees! Snow moving in tonight. 4 inches possible, then cooling down again.

That episode I had of looking up illnesses online regarding Chico not only had me crying but I had him in the vet twice that week because I was not convinced the vet told me the right thing first time around. He had already diagnosed his heart condition many months before that. Chico was coughing real bad so I looked up awful things regarding his heart that causes fluids to get in his lungs and could kill him. I took him to the vet and he told me his lungs were cleared but of course still has the heart problem that there is no cure for but he was stable. I brought Chico home looked up more stuff then more crying and took Chico back a couple of days later. The vet did a full exam again and told me again he is doing well considering his heart problem. The vet was so sweet about it and didn't even charge me for bringing him in a second time around for that exam. I was expecting to pay for that visit and he probably should have charged me double for not believing him first time around. Ha ha! That reassurance helped me tremendously! That was over 6 months ago and Chico is still holding up fine! No more internet for me on my little furry friend! =)

I wish I could go to your veterinarian. Every time I bring one of the animals in it costs hundreds of dollars, it's crazy!
I'm happy Chico is doing well, I will keep him in my prayers.

Gmorn all. Watching the morning show and they say coffee improves memory... I'll see about this! I'm having my first for the day!

I do go online for myself. It is helpful to get an idea of what might be going on but I am not going to for my dog and his heart anymore. I might for other minor things but this whole heart thing had me frightened way too many times!!!

I think if my dog, Chico, could talk to me when I look these things up it would be very helpful! If I see something on the internet I need to ask him "Do you feel this"? "What about that"? Ha ha! Nope, I have to just let my mind go crazy wondering if he is going to die within hours! I hate that feeling! Yes, it has been that bad of what I have found online!!!

At least when I look up things for myself I can ask myself these questions of what I find online. In that case, the internet is a handy tool! =)

I do wish they could talk!
Molly does have some doggy dementia symptoms but then again she was never the sharpest tool in the shed.
I promise I wont google her symptoms anymore!

How' s it going! Just finished preparing dinner and it's in the oven. The children are driving me nuts! The boys put almost a whole bottle of bubble bath in the tub. Suds and foam everywhere......it took on a life of it's own....like The Blob!! They are lucky it's freezing out otherwise I would have put them out in the garden and use the garden hose on them !!!!

I didn't get as much as I wanted to get done today. Ahhh well tomorrow is another day!

PS HomakinGirl , I also have a bit of a thing for Mr. Connick LOL!

My daughter put too much bubble bath in my jacuzzi tub and it was a nightmare to clean up. At least your boys are young, mine is 17!

I'm really looking forward to watching Mr. Connick every week!
