Good evening, MMC!!

I had a very long day. I opened at work, and then the full time coordinator who was supposed to close called in. Eventually they came to me after exhausting all the other front end management, and asked me to come back to close. So, I agreed to it, trying to keep showing them my commitment. I just can't get over how irresponsible people are. There's always some major crisis, and the same people can't seem to get into work. I've covered for them so many times- it's frustrating. Rant over! =]
I negotiated a day off tomorrow though- thank God!

I'm very tired, and my body aches. I pray that it's from working almost 11 hours, and not because I'm catching what Adi has.

Hope you all had a wonderful day!!

We got another inch of snow tonight, and more on the way this weekend. Hope it warms back up by then.

Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers for Adrian. We both really appreciate it!

Off to get some shut eye. Looking forward to sleeping in~

Happy Pines day everyone. I have vent if I may...

Yesterday ended bad, carried over to today, and I'm in a bad mood. We all have these days though. Carl and my favorite friends can cheer me up though!

Hope everyone's day is good. I have three day weekend coming up at least!

Ohhh no so sorry to hear you had a tough couple of days. I hope today turns out better and you are in better spirits. Well how can you not be after the Pines last night, right! Yaaaay for three day weekend. What have you got planned for it? Enjoy!

Still working on the house. The concrete for the foundation has cured, and the patio room foundation will be poured on Friday. The kitchen will be 30' by 32', so I should be able to move around a lot better than I do now, LOL! I am so jealous of everyone's snow, but that's what I say every year. I just wish we would get one good snow storm every year so I could make snowcream and play in the snow. I will be checking in when I can. TTFN

I am glad to hear it's all coming along nicely. Just think what it will be like over Christmas in your new surroundings! We have not had any snow and no forecasts in the near future. Take care.

Hi everyone!

Virginia, It got to 44C yesterday and today is going to be a whopping 46C. Adelaide’s record temperature is 46.1C dating all the way back to 1939. So could be in for a new record. Finally got maintenance to fix the air-conditioning at the office but now we’re being told there may be power outages, just my luck.

Only one more day till the weekend. Yay!

Sorry I wasn’t on here yesterday and haven’t been able to go through all the posts. Been very busy!

Hey Snow, that's is unfortunate you had to go in to work. It is a shame that there is unreliable people at work who make it unfair for hard workers like you. You deserve the day off, good for you! Praying that you are not getting ill and you feel in good health this morning.

I hadn't realised Adrian was sick. How is he feeling? Praying that he recovers quickly.

I hope the temperatures will stay at a comfortable level for you all and the snowfall doesn't cause too much negative impact.

Merry Morning! Fun night at the Pines last night although my throat is still burning from tasting Carl's special blend! Yikes! I got to say though , I kinda like what he 's got planned for the pool

Nothing exciting planned today, just the usual. I still need to organise all the Christmas stuff to go into the loft. Everything is in tubs and boxes. I'll try and attempt it today.

I hope you can get the costs reduced. Is the truck usable at the moment? I was wondering, with the roads the way they are, maybe waiting to do the repairs is an option until the weather improves.

No, I can use it, had to put duct tape on the front lights to hold them in place. But it looks awlful; the truck would look like something from the TV show "The Beverly Hillbillies", driving down the road...except that it would be missing the rocking chair and grannie sitting in the back holding a shotgun~:lol:

This got me wondering about what sort of tyres you all have for the bad weather. In movies they put on snow chains.

In my area, most people usually have tires that are rated for the snow/ mud/rain; sort of "all terrain tires". However, around here, it's usually just safer just to stay off the roads because when people around here, when they see one snowflake (not our Snowflake, LOL), they panic. People around here cannot drive at all, and it's them you have to watch out for, not the weather~ And that's what happened to me, people ridding someone's bumper, someone one slammed on the brakes and it was a chain reaction behind them. Lucky for me, I was about 20-30 feet behind the guy in front of me, and that's what saved me from slamming into the back of him....

Oh no. Carl saw this on his recent trip home for the holidays and thinks we need them around the pool here at the pines-



So the fund raiser is raise money to make improvements to the Pines before Summer arrives.

I was actually still there, Carl had barred all the doors until after the announcement.
He also says he wants to install a new water slide since the old one was banned by the authorities. In case you forgot what it looked like or are new here this was it..

He is thinking of replacing it with this one..

That NyQuil should fix you up.
Who remembers the old-formula NyQuil liquid that was 25% alcohol? It was awfully effective at getting you to fall asleep, especially when taken as a minor ... tasted horrible, but it worked.
