Good afternoon!

Hope everyone is doing well today, and staying warm! Or cool for some of our friends like JBJ & Virginia.

I just went to Walmart to pick up some cold medicines, vitamins, and preventative things like Airborne & EmergenC. I also got the chicken noodle soup, crackers, and sprite. Think we are set!

Thanks for the get well wishes & prayers, Adrian says thanks as well!

I also felt it necessary to check the Christmas clearance, and am I ever glad I did!

Here is what I picked up:

y4yjuvud.jpg

5 Christmas shirts, tinsel, a Santa ornament, chocolate nut mix, and candy canes, all for $12.00!
That lifted my spirits!

I'm going to lay down for a bit, but sending lots of love to you all~
So blessed to have your friendships, Christmas family.

Awesome finds!

I thought it was Marcellus Washburn who that taught that song to the kids and also performed it with them.

You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, I was wrong! Harold joins in later, but it's Marcellus who taught it to 'em! Time to get out the DVD again!

Good Morning All!!

Well I finally got to do some catching up this morning in Flagstaff, AZ. We stopped here for the night and will head on to Phoenix in a bit. Bud has a 2pm show there. Then we move on to Tucson and will stay there for the weekend.

It's neen a strange adventure. Coming through north Texas, somewhere west of Abilene, our brand new car with just the mileage from our trip plus the 28 existing when we bought it, started acting squirrelly. Transmission sounding like it's getting stuck in third gear and revving really high. The timing sounds strange too. I switched to manual so I could physically shift gears and that was no better.

The car is supposed to average at 38 to 40 miles per gallon which it was when we started and we're getting 20, sometimes not even that. That's on open flat roads with the cruise control set on 55.

Coming through New Mexico something hit our windshield, we're guessing a rock but there was no one else around, but hit hard enough to break the windshield.

About :20 minutes after the rock we experienced our first sand storm. This looked like something off The Mummy with Brandon Frasier. ROFL I kept waiting to see the face appear in the sand against the setting sun. So covered in dust both inside and out, we persevered on to Blanca, CO. It's a tiny mountain town.

Coming up around the mountain about 9pm, blizzard. Yeah, not kidding... blizzard. We were very happy at that moment that we bought a car with all wheel drive. So we left Texas that morning at 30 degrees, drove through 80 degrees and arrived to step out of the vehicle arpund 10:30pm to -18. ROFL

And no, mountain people don't cancel school for it. Got up the next morning to do his show at 8:45. LOL

Been all through southern Colorado, all across northern New Mexico and from north to south in Arizona. It has been beautiful and I get to see it all with Bud so that's awesome! Literally. LOL

We'll be heading to a local service center/dealership in Tucson to make them fix our car or swap for another before we both snap. I called the dealership where we bought it in our hometown and have left messages. No one has bothered to call us back. GRRRR!!!

It remains to be seen how I'll be getting back. I was supposed to ride back with a friend who was picking me up in Phoenix on her drive from California back to Florida. That was the plan since early December. Yesterday she calls to tell me she doesn't think she can do it. Info that would have been useful to me a week ago. And yes she'd been reconsidering since New Years. Priced airline tickets last night. *sigh* Buying a ticket with less than 7 days before the flight leaves me with few options. Still trying to get something workable. I have to... absolutely MUST be back by Wednesday night at the latest.

Good Afternoon MMC!!!!! It's been snowing like crazy here!!! It was like a whiteout at some points on our way to mom's doctors appointments. They actually had to close down the interstate because there was so many wrecks on it. It looks like one more heavy band and then we should be done with this clipper though. There is more to come though. We'll have about 3 inches today and then we are supposed to get another 1 to 2 inches tomorrow and then 3 to 5 on saturday. Crazy!!! Mom's appointment went well though. The heart monitor came back fine. The doctor still wants her to do a sleep study but her insurance won't pay for it at the hospital. So they are going to try and get her approved for a home sleep study through their office. She has also been complaining about being more forgetful, so they are going to do an EEG next tuesday along with a few blood tests. Now I'm off to get some stuff done around here. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!
we have bands of that weather coming through here too.
Hope all the tests your mom needs gets done and they get ot the bottom of what is going on with her.

:merry:Good afternoon/evening everyone...hope yeah all are having a fantastic day so far...Its friday already tomorrow..weekend is getting closer guys:merry:

Wow!

My son is 8 and my daughter is 6.

Sounds like you may have some tips!

I'll ask my sister in law too because her kids are 13 and 9, but they've had season passes since the kids were 5 and 1. They go all the time. She would definitely know what the newest attactions are.

Personally, Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom are still my faves. My son LOVED the Buzz Lightyear ride and Peter Pan. My nieces have always adored the Disney Princesses rides and attractions.

They have a stunt car show which is really something and depending on your kids' love of roller coasters there is something for most everyone from the easy going to the heart wrenching. Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain are still among my favorites.

The Rainforest Cafe is the fave among residents as far as a place to dine which both still fascinates the kids but has great food.

You can save on rental car costs if you intend to just stay within the park. There are Disney trams that run from Orlando International to the park and then all the hotels in the park and surrounding areas have trams going to the parks.

There's also another lesser known airport in Sanford which is still part of Orlando. Allegiant airlines flies in there. Depending on where you are to coordinating airports, they do have shockingly low fares into Orlando. allegiant.com

Epcot center is pretty cool too but Ive always thought of it as an older kids theme park or for the adults. My son didn't care for it much till he was about 14.

Lines are long usually in the summer and depending on when you come, August is our worst month for humidity and high temps. June and July are kinder and while rain may swoop in around 1pm, it generally clears out within an hour or two. Rides are best to hit in the morning or late afternoon when the sun is not directly overhead. Go for the indoor stuff, theaters, shopping and eating from 1 to 3:30ish.

I'll check with my SIL when I ger back to Lakeland. :-)

Hey snowflake! Buster is just ok! Thanks for asking & thanks for keeping him in your prayers! Sometimes I think maybe I should just make the dreaded appointment (but I can't!!) & then the next day I have to chase him home from the neighbors! Some days he does a lot of walking in circles & the next day (or sometimes just after a nap) he seems fine. He doesn't act like he's in pain. He's still eating great. He sleeps a lot! He's just so old! I'm not sure how much longer he will be with us. Maybe a day? 2 weeks? 6 months? Who would have thought he would lived to be (almost) 18?? 'O Buster!
We are pretty seriously looking at getting a puppy though. It gives me butterflies wondering if Buster will be ok with it. The puppy will be in a cage during the day while we are at work, so Buster will still have the run of the house & the puppy won't bother him. We will be getting a Soft Coated Wheaten & they are hard to find around here. There is a pup available now (3 hours from here) that is already 4 months old - so that makes me a little nervous - they haven't worked with her on potty training at all, but they said she is socialized with other dogs & humans & she is current on all vaccinations. I'm not sure if I want to miss the 1st couple months of their puppy cuteness, but at the same time, she might train easier being older, etc. I just want to be sure she was socialized properly b/c she will be around a lot of other dogs & people! This same place also has 5 more pups that will be available 2/20/14. There is also a place 4 hours from here that has 2 females available in 2 weeks. AND a male & a female were just put on puppy finder, only 45 minutes from us, but they are CKC registered, not AKC. I really don't care if they are AKC, CKC - we just want to make sure they are pure bread b/c we don't want another dog that sheds. They will be available late February/early March. Ohhhh, decisions!!!

Geesh, I wrote a novel!

Keeping Buster in my prayers. Good luck on whatever you decide on the puppy!

Adrian used to fly into Sanford all the time for business, great advice.

We also love the Rainforest Cafe :)

Ryan, I haven't been to Disney World for quite a few years, but we used to go often- my grandparents moved near there after they retired. So much fun! Hope you guys have a magical time!!
