Christmas Countdown - 2014

Hi everybody! Not much going on with me today, I'm at the office right now working (the boss asked us to come in and work some overtime), so, I might as well get it while I can.

I've been very very busy lately with working on the house every spare moment I have while not sleeping and also working late most every single night this past week as well.

Just this past week alone, I re-did some electrical work in the garage, hung drywall and mudded it, installed a new kitchen light, caulked and sealed the inside of the garage, hung shelves and cabinets, cleaned all the ceiling fans, corrected some ventilation in the attic, tore down several shelving units and salvaged the wood and screws, plus when it snowed this past Tuesday, (we got about a foot of snow) I snow blowered the entire driveway and part of my neighbors and cleared all four vehicles.

But, I love it, I like staying busy and doing projects and hubby stuff as well. One good thing about all of that, is that I sure have been sleeping really good at night....LOL!

I have not been able to read much of the posts lately, hope all is well with everyone and that there is not too much of the PCB's going around... Me, hecks far, I'm still listening to Christmas music and I was watching "Christmas with the Kranks", just the other night (late)~

Hi, xmastidings ~ I was wondering where you were. I'm glad that everything is all right out your way! That is a lot of stuff you have accomplished ~ I'm sure your house will be a home in no time what with all the work you are putting into it!

I just looked out the window here at the office and we are having a real pretty snow shower going thru the area right now! I see on the weather channel that we are supposed to get more snow showers tomorrow.:cry:

How fun, enjoy the sights and the break ! I love visiting old caves.



Great that you now have your own tree. We switched from white lights to multi coloured LED last Christmas. I like both but it freshens things up to make a change now and then.

Old caves is an understatement for these caves. These are 400 million years old and amazing!!

I miss those early morning walks with the dogs, they are so peaceful. I hope Maggie is well enough to go for walks again after the temperatures warm up a bit. I miss taking them.

I hope this clears up for you SOON. Be sure to keep hydrated. When this happened to me the E.R. told me that even if I can't keep anything down, take a few spoonfuls of water several times an hour. It's easy to get dangerously dehydrated, no matter which end (ahem) is giving you trouble.

This is very true, MerryCarey. I remember as a child, the doctor's always said to not drink or eat anything and we would always get so dehydrated. I ended up a few times in the ear for fluids. Now they push to at least do clear liquids, even if it comes right back up. At least you are trying to keep yourself hydrated.

Good snowy blowy Sunday morning MMC!!! What a weekend! I haven't left the house too much. We did go to the Legion for a little while last night, but that has been about it. Jim has been out all weekend. He played in the snow ALL day yesterday. Opening driveways & talking with neighbors. Lol! Brrrrr! This morning he is out delivering feed. UGH. He said he is driving about 45-50 mph & very few are out on the roads. I started crocheting a little blankie for our new pup when we get her & my sister saw it on Friday - she asked me to make another for her new grand puppy Charlie (male) who they just got yesterday...so I have been hooking on that all weekend! Love it!!! Great weather for that! Cooking & crocheting! I made Cheeseburger Soup yesterday - one of my faves! Thinking about what I can make today...

I hope you are all doing well & staying warm. I'm going to go back & read some posts from the weekend now!

Isn't crochet a great thing to do when it's cold and raw outside? It feels so good to work with warm and cozy yarn when it's cold.

Yup ive had a good day holiday...thanks for asking..we watched a few christmas movies today...miracle on 34th street,The polar express and my girls favorite The snowman and the snowdog..Has anyone seen that one and what did you think of it...

I'm beginning to feel bad for the folks up north after heating about all the snow and the bone chilling temperatures. It was 70 here in Texas yesterday and supposed to be 65 today. But, it will be short lived we have a cold front coming in this week and it is horribly dry!

Yes Merry, it is! This has been the greatest crocheting weekend! I wake up in the morning & see I can't go anywhere...might as well grab a cup of coffee & a hook! :smile: Charlie does look like a sweetheart!!!!
