Wow, it went from nice and calm here to 60 mph winds and thunder snow in a blink of an eye. The temp dropped 6 degree's in 5 minutes too.

Merry Monday Morning! Have you all had a good weekend? It goes to fast doesn't it! I suppose it is also because I work part of it. Busy day yesterday and the heavy rain continues so not much going on today.

I only caught up with a few pages of posts, so I hope I didn't miss to much.

This is the last week of January. If time continues to fly we will be at the end of February very soon and that is something I look forward to very very much!! By end of February I am ready for the change in seasons and await the arrival of spring and all it's beauty!

Take it easy today everyone and make it a good start to the week!

Good morning!
We are already at almost 40 degrees this morning but the temperatures are going to drop and we should be back in the single digits by tomorrow morning.
My youngest has mid-year exams this week. The school year is flying by, she will be graduating high school before I know it. She also wants to go prom dress shopping one of these days.
Not too much going on for me today, just a couple of errands and daily chores. I plan on making chicken pot pies for dinner so I will be working on that this afternoon.

School closures and bus cancellations January 27, 2014 For the Stratford Area Rural (Country) Schools, ALL Rural (Country) buses have been cancelled and the following schools: St.Patrick’s (Kinkora) – is closed Central Perth Elementary School – is closed Downie Central Public School – is closed North Easthope Public School – is closed Sprucedale Public School – will remain open for those students whose parents make them go anyway.

At -27c (-16f) we also have a wind chill warning, plus another fresh layer of snow with more on the way.

Onward we march through 2014.
And we are surprisingly close to the end of January.

What else is surprisingly close?
How about the proximity of our next Milestone:
Days to the Season: 290
Days to Christmas Day: 332

And a consulation of our Milestone Marker Chart indicates we are a scant 16 days away from the 1/4 Season point.
(Is it too soon to start thinking about.......SINGLE DIGITS??)

The temps moderated a bit yesterday but it was still chilly.
This morning has begun at a not bad for winter 46 degrees and we are supposed to reach 60 before we crash once again.
(Well. One nice day is better than none!)
