That's the sweetest gift anybody almost ever almost gave me...

MWAH!!!

Awww, Cedar!
After reading that, I feel like it's Christmas already!

Actually, your desire to be Santa tracks very closely with the plot of an old Twilight Zone story from December of 1960, where a man (played by Art Carney) finds a magic bag that begins to give gifts on Christmas Eve.
I have the series on DVD and try to always watch that eipsode during the Christmas season.

Did someone say a " vat of coffee" somewhere.. where... where... tell me now... ohhh yessss..... hey Jayish gets a new pair of tights.. hmmmmm must be an aira/paus dulux in here somewhere....

I still have so much to do and now my perfect red 1960s front door bells have gone out- not sure if I can get replacement parts in time for christmas.. geeexxx ebay what a hoax.....

ohh my- a good use for plaid.. snicker...

We'll be gone most of the day so wish us luck with all the other crazy shoppers. Anyways i want to wish everyone of y'all a great and merry Christmas and have a blessed day. Gosh i just love Christmas.. And god bless y'all

Me too, Slg, me to!

SEASON DAY 39
Days to Christmas Day: 4 (No, it just can't be. Three hundred and sixty-five down to 4?? - not possible!)

Well, all I can say is I hope everyone is ready, 'cuz it's just around the corner. One last, glorious weekend to shop, get a bite to eat at your favorite cafe,...... grab a supersized coffee flagon at Starbucks!

Damp and cool here in Raleigh at this hour with the temp at 44. At least there was no frost (and no willow leaves!) on my car this morning.

My sister, father and I are meeting a friend of my sister's at "Ruby Tuesday" for dinner this evening.
One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to eat out at a nice restaurant! It just seems so warm and seasonal -- but the place MUST have Christmas decorations for the magic to work.

Well have a FABULOUS FRIDAY, FRIENDS!
I hope your weekend is wonderous and fruitful (and hopefully without too much stress!)
Keep that Christmas song on your lips and the spirit of Christmas in your heart as you go and you'll be happier - promise!

A Merry Morning to you! WOW...Friday, finally...is it just me or did this week take forever to end?
Can you believe this is the last day of FALL? Winter officially begins tomorrow.

Have a groovy time Crown..hope the decorations are heart-warming and the food even better!

Merry Christmas to you too SLG! And to one and all!!

~Sorry Bingster..about your circa 1960 red plastic bells. Hope you can make them shine again. I think we were the only family that didn't have a set of those. BTW, I just saw some in a ACE hardware store recently, they are making them again even in a cool retro box. Half off, they were $7!

YABBA!

Yes.
My sister bought a set last year and has them up again for this Christmas.

I am going to look at ace- everyone has commented on them this year- they look so cool in my window- each morning, mid morning, early afternoon, mid-afternoon, early evening, mid evening, late evening, early am.. whenI am having a coffee break, I sit and look at them... so thanx for the tip- off to ACE I go......

Hey- off for a solid week- yeahhhh baybyyeee.. YABBA and all that other cool stuff.... might even shop some tomorrow- for myself no less... YABBA..... bet your house smells so good like mine does...... ehat a groovy weekend....

Crown, if I were SANTA or the 'great and powerful' OZ...I would bring you a garage for Christmas!! To keep those pesky teenie-tiny willow leaves from landing on the ol' Crown Victoria! Oh and I would buy Bingster a coffee plantation in Brazil. And Auntie, a Christmas Tree farm in the most beautiful part of Canada...and Jay, a French pastry shoppe and a new pair of tights...and me, a new computer...oh I wish I was SANTA...! Oh and SILA would get endless days of shopping...at Herrods...endless hours of buying cool stuff for her kids!

Coupled with the Christmas Tree Farm in the most beautiful part of Canada can I trouble you for a year round Christmas Lodge to host some rather festive Christmas chums I know?

:} That would be a great and powerful gift!

You got it Auntster!!

Great to hear from you....Merry Christmas Auntie!

Well here it is just days before the "big day", you know the one I've been looking forward to since last Boxing Day and wouldn't you know it I'M NOT READY - uggh!

The weather hasn't cooperated and when it has, I was occupied with other tasks and unable to go. So the last seven gifts I have to get will be bought tomorrow. Of course they're calling for rain. Oh well, I'll just pop open my Auntie Poppins Umbrella and head over to the mall.

:-x Santa is delivering my surprises to my parents house this year. That means I'll be able to pop into the CHAT room sometime over Chrsitmas Eve or Christmas Day between visits.

My husband and I will open our gifts to each other here and watch O'Malley open his presents from Santa while we wait for my parents, brother - his girlfriend and chaufeaur friend to wake up and call us to come over. Last year we agreed that 10:00 was a good time, but nobody was ready for us until 11:00 - seems like it gets later every year. Perhaps that's because they need more sleep as they get older.

I didn't put myself into that older age category because I'll be wide awake all night listening for the sound of sleigh bells and trying to catch a few winks.

Visit to Santa Update and possibly a quick visit to NORAD and I'll be all set.

~ I don't have to go to work for eight days. Yippee!
