Hope you get feeling better! Have a great night.

Thanks Ryan.

Hope you are all having a great day! I've been trying to catch up, but I'm losing the battle!

Tonight we are having stitch 'n *itch at our house, so the girls are coming over! Jim will have to find something to do!! I'm hoping to get a lot done on the blanket for Charlie (my nieces new puppy)! I'm about 1/2 done & I would like to finish before Sunday! EEK!

Superbowl plans - we are going to the Legion in our town to watch. I'm making a Creamy Avocado Dip & these: (using the brown sugar instead of parmesan.) My sister made these & they were yummy!!! They are definately something I would have to make to bring somewhere b/c they would be trouble in my house!!!!!!

It's almost quitting time here. Then I get to go home & clean since the girls are coming tonight!! Fun fun!

Have a great day!!!

Sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy your stitching session with the girls. That dip sounds nice, I love avocadoes. Hope you make some head way on the blanket for Charlie..

Well my niece is gone and now I have to get some stuff done around here. I'm also trying to decide if I want to go to the grocery tonight. They are calling for snow turning to sleet, turning to rain, turning back to sleet, turning back to snow tomorrow through sunday. Then a major snow storm next tuesday into wednesday with estimates showing anywhere from 15 inches to 20 inches. So I know the stores are going to be crazy this weekend and I don't want to deal with that. I hope everyone is having a good day!!!!

Good idea stocking up from now if you are expecting severe weather. You won't have to worry about going out in all that mess when it happens. How is your niece? I hope you were able to catch up on your sleep last night.

Good Thursday afternoon everyone! It's 34F here with light snow/fog just an awful day to be out driving home from work in 30 min!!! But other than that I love the snow ya know! We are getting our replenishment snow from the warm week where my grass in the backyard was showing through for the first time since late November. We are suppose to get around 10 to 15 inches through sunday night. I don't know if we will get that much but it is coming down! Other than that my decorations are finally down and I am trying to adjust to post Christmas still in late Jan! This year has been hard since the holidays were pretty good this year. I don't really follow Pro football so I don't really care too much about the super bowl but we will watch it at party I was invited too at work. I am counting down to college ball in the fall! I have a long way to go don't I!
I hope everyone is doing good I am going back and reading yalls posts a few days back, and it seems everyone is having bad weather too and the Flu bug is really going around! Hope everyone feels better soon talk to yall when I get home from work!

Enjoy the snowfall, it sounds like you get a lot of it! Fall will be here before you know it! Look how fast January has gone!!

I hope you are back to 100 % soon! Take care, Festive!

Thanks M.

Hello everyone. Well, now my son is sick! Ready for this stuff to leave the house!

Hope you all are doing good. It's almost Friday!

Oh no sorry to hear your little one is not well. I hope he makes a full recovery very soon. Hope the rest of the family are feeling better.

Today, I learned the definition of fear.

As I was working, an announcement came over the intercom saying they needed me in the office, which almost never happens. So I knew something was up.

As I get closer, I see my assistant run out of the office with my keys. He runs to me down the hallway and said the babysitter called and she needed me....it was an emergency.

My cellphone had six missed calls, all from the babysitter. As I was driving across town, I called and all I could hear was the baby screaming. It was all I could do to keep it on the road.

When I got there, the baby had rolled off the bed and landed on the hardwood floor. Last night, the baby rolled three times in one direction. We forgot to tell her. So she was laying in the bed playing with the baby and before she knew it, the baby was out of arms reach and her legs was hanging off the bed, from thigh down....she started sliding and the babysitter grabbed her hand as she went over the side, but her hand slipped out of hers. She hit her head on the ground.

My cousin is a doctor and lives 1/2 between our town and the hospital. She met me on the interstate and jumped in the truck with me. You can't imagine how I felt when she said, "Ballcoach, slow down. Bambina is fine. She's gonna be fine."

And she is....has a good little knot, but she is fine. No broken bones, no concussion, all good.

The emotion and stress of it has hit me in the past hour...I'm soooo tired. I'm about to head off to bed. But you better believe I will give thanks tonight, more than usual.

Y'all have a good night. Can't wait to spend the weekend with everyone here and I can't wait for all the football fun.

I fully understand how you felt and how shaken up you must still be. The first time I had something like this I felt an array of emotions flow through me. As parents we feel an innate responsibility to keep our children safe and when anything happens major or minor we feel responsible somehow or guilty that we could not prevent it. But trust me when I say it does get better over time and thank god it does because these things happen. She is lucky to have you there to comfort and soothe her now and in the future :) Enjoy the weekend together.

Merry Friday! We are here again, another week closer to our favourite time of year. I can't believe it is the end of the month already.

Not much planned for weekend. I am in work for part of it and the rest of it will be spent just indoors. We tend to hibernate on weekends during the cold months lol!

Tonight we are watching an old movie , Affair in Trinidad with the beautiful Rita Hayworth. I bought this ages ago and haven't watched it yet. Tomorrow we will watch a family film , Jack and the Giant Slayer so looking forward to those.

Looking forward to this evening when everyone gets in and we can just get in our pyjamas and chill.

What are you all up to this weekend?

Have a fun start to the weekend everyone!!

Heading to bed now. Tomorrow is cat shelter day and I am eager to meet our new arrivals. It is bittersweet when we get new ones in as you know that they have usually come from a terrible situation and are glad to have saved them, but you wish that the situation (or, in the case of yet another litter of kittens, the cats themselves) did not exist in the first place.

Sleep well. Best of luck tomorrow welcoming your new arrivals. How lucky those animals are to have a place to be looked after.

Bed time for me too. You have chosen a great way to give to the poor animals Jeremiah. You should be very proud of your work.

Undeniably. If I remember correctly, my first viewing of it was very nearly a decade ago (I think a year or two after it came out) when I was still in middle school (for the record, I'm 19 now). It was the after-school day care program and it was very close to Christmas. That afternoon we were in the school's auditorium and the after-school supervisor brought it in for us to watch. She put it up on the screens and I was riveted from start to finish. I will never forget that day!

As for present day, today we went down to the local spring to load up some milk jugs with water. I think we take like 25 or so jugs each time we go. In goes quick in this house, though as I try to drink at least a gallon per day. It's great, though, as the water is free and very clean. Much better than our tap water! It was only 25º today (the past few days it has been 7, 4, 3, 2, etc...) but my fingers and toes still throbbed like no one's business! I definitely new boots and gloves. The ones I have now are a sorry excuse!

My kids all went to the movies to see The Polar Express with their classes when they were in elementary school. They each received a little sleigh bell to bring home. They still talk about that trip.
Good for you for trying to drink a gallon of water every day. I need to be better about that. I think it's so cool that you fill up your own jugs at a local spring!
Try and stay warm Jeremiah!!!

Back to work for me in the morning. It'll probably be a busy day, since I've been out sick a few days. They brought in a temp to cover for me, but they never trust a temp's work the way they trust mine. I've made a reputation with my eagle eye! I hope I'll be up to whatever they dish out tomorrow.

I hope you are feeling better and have a good day!

Good evening,

I am exhausted tonight, I ache all over and just feel like total blah again. I have to be up again in a little over 6 hours.

Nothing else really going on here tonight, just wanted to get caught up before bed.

Good night, dear friends.

I hope that you are feel better this morning xmas!

I had to rush my daughter to the ER when she was just starting to walk because she fell and hit her head. I know that feeling, it is the worst. Thank God she is alright, sending hugs your way!

Good morning Festive!
No big plans here for the weekend. We will be home relaxing on Sunday to watch the Super Bowl. I'm still planning my menu, I'm going to do my food shopping tomorrow.
I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend with your family!
Have a great day!

What a wonderful thing to do, God bless you Jeremiah!
I keep all animals in these situations in my prayers.

Good Morning, Frequent Friends of Friday Frivolity.
(Don't you just love "F" words?)

Well, maybe so or maybe no.
But here's something everybody will love:
Days to the Season: 286
Days to Christmas Day: 328

And to make the experience complete, one just needs to note that in barely two days we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to our next Milestone, the 1/4 marker to the Season.
(Wowzerinoppers!)

Well, somehow we made it up to about 40 degrees yesterday and some of the snow melted, but there is still plenty around.
Today should make a difference when we are predicted to reach close to 50.
And the weekend should finish things off as we approach 60.
(Nice!)
We are currently at a still shivery 18 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks.
And may you have a Way-Out Weekend as Well!

Well it looks like I get to play babysitter again today. At least I got about 5 hours of sleep last night.
