Praying you are better soon! {{{HUGS}}}

It is an all-volunteer shelter; not even the board members get paid. I think I like it better that way. More money can go to the cats themselves. It is probably why we can afford to spend thousands in vet bills on a single cat. Even though they are in a shelter and not in a home, these cats are very lucky. We are the only no-kill shelter in the area, and as a result, we get many of the other shelters' "rejects" that would be killed otherwise.

No, I don't foster at the moment, although I would love to in the future. We'll see.

God bless you and the other volunteers for all you do for the cats!

Hello World!!!!! Just checking in; heard a rumour.......something about an opera???!!!!!!! LOVE Binger's operas - absolute class

Hope everybody is well and, if not, hope you feel better soon. Things in swinging downtown Scotland are same old, same old. Weather here is, quite surprisingly, not too bad............okay, let me qualify that............the temperature isn't too bad. Rain, however, is another matter entirely. It has rained probably everyday since Christmas and for the past 2 days the roads (yes, roadS) to work have been flooded. Luckily, I'd already planned to have these days off!!!!!!

The hounds are well although Cracker is a bit scabby just now. Some skin condition but we pin him down every few days or so and give him a bath which sort of keeps it a little under control. As you can guess, we're just SO popular when we do that!!!

My boss gets early retirement at the end of March so it's all change. Think I mentioned before his job is between two of us........watch this space! The powers that be have also decided that they are moving our premises which is fine in theory. They just have to find somewhere (and somewhere SUITABLE) to put us!!!!

Can't think of much else to tell you........Bruce is 3/4 of the way through his probationary teaching year...........for their science lessons, he turned the classroom into a hospital and each week they were a different ward - cardio, osteo etc etc..........

Merry on, Christmas folk!!!!

Hi, Mo! That is a lot of rain ~ hope it lets up soon! Poor Cracker ~ I will keep him in my prayers. Praying the change that is coming at work is all good and that the new place will be awesome, too. Bruce's science lessons sound interesting ~ he is going to make a very good teacher! Take care, my friend! {{{HUGS}}}

Good evening, MMC!

There is a winter storm watch out for my area ~ lots of snow on the way, but not as much as made's area might see. The snow starts tomorrow so if we get what has been predicted, I will be shoveling on Sunday instead of shopping ~ the fresh air and exercise will do me good!

Stay safe and be MERRY!

Stay safe, Meceka!!!

They are talking about some ice mixing in here now on tuesday and that may cut us down to 6 to 10 inches of snow. I'd prefer all snow instead of dealing with the ice.

I'm not really mad at him, I know he just wants to play. Believe me when I tell you, all of my animals are beyond spoiled!

Oh dear, I didn't mean to sound like you were cranky at him. I was imagining cuddling that gorgeous face and rubbing noses with him as I wrote that. :)

That's great that the shelter can afford to spend so much for the cats' care because of the volunteers. It's wonderful that you are part of this.

I'm happy all is well, have a wonderful weekend!

Good evening! I know I haven't read many of the posts, but I plan on getting caught up tomorrow. DH and I going out tonight with one of my girlfriends from work and her husband. I am very excited, as we haven't been out to actually do anything with another couple, except dinner since last St. Pats Day! My parents are watching the kids for us. It's long over due!

I hope you all have a great evening and a great start to your weekend! I'll check in at some point this evening! God Bless!

Have fun!!!

I don't know what I'd do without it! It is one of my priorities when I eventually do move away: finding a spring!

We have a spring 500 feet away from our house, we never go to it. There are people always pulled over filling bottles up. We should really start using that resource.
