It has been snowing like crazy all night! I just hope it does that all night long so we both get a "snow day" tomorrow!

It's still snowing like crazy here so there is a lot more heading your way!!! We are probably close to the 11 inch mark now.


We are just on the back end of the strongest part of the storm right now. They are saying only another 2 to 3 inches by tomorrow now when we were getting that in an hour and a half.

Hubby and my son worked so hard on the house today and made great progress! I went to the store to buy Kane lots of goodies to have in the trailer. It is only a small trailer, but it looks new and is clean. We had the bed ready for him, and we have electricity hooked up and the heat is on. He does have to come in to the house for showers and bathroom needs. They have the subflooring down and Hubby and son put down some plywood so I can now walk out the back "door" and not fall. I am really getting excited!

Sugar, I was reading a (thriller) book last night that mentioned a place in Pennsylvania: Roadside America in Shartlesville. I researched it and want to stop there when Hubby and I go across the US. Have you ever been?

That is wonderful progress!! Yay!!

Xmas, that's awful. I'll be praying for your safety tomorrow and other folks who have to be out on the road. Mr. will be driving to the train station when it's expected to be falling heavily. I'm so grateful that the nature of my work allows me to work from home when I need to. But I'll have to try to keep the drive way open so Mr. can get in when he gets home, and I don't know if I can handle the wet snow we may get. Oh, well, that's tomorrow.




Pretty good except for a bug that hit me for about 3 days last week.




I think if I adjust the number of stitches on the row before the pattern stitch it should make it come out right. For this one, I'll just fudge the pattern stitch or the shells to make it work. I don't want to frog the rows again and make the yarn ragged. I'll definitely make better notes this time so I'll know what to do next time! It's a gorgeous pattern, so I may be making another one sometime.

Your scrapbook project will come out fine, I know it.

Still thinking about that snow tomorrow. Looks like 6 to 10 inches in our area.

Also thinking about the afghan I'm working on. Don't you hate it when a pattern isn't perfectly clear? I did two long (140-stitch) rows last night in a complicated pattern stitch that creates a series of spaces. The next row, which is shells worked into the spaces, requires the number of spaces to be evenly divisible by 4, but the pattern stitch works out to 70 spaces! It needs to be either 68 or 72. I'll have to frog what I did last night and fudge it somehow when I redo it so I get the right multiple of spaces. Urgh! I had jotted a note on the pattern the last time I worked it that says "72 spaces/multiple of 4," but didn't make any notes on how I managed to do that! I think I need to make some more notes! One thing I like about crochet over knitting is that it's easier to fudge a couple stitches more or less when you need to. But it's such a pain when you need to!

How frustrating but it sounds like a puzzle and I like puzzles.

Well someone from across the street took my mom's parking spot after I spent a lot of time making sure it was completely ice free and cleaned out for her. There are 6 spots open over there, so there is no reason they couldn't park over there. All I have to say is if it's still there when it's starts snowing heavy, I'll have no idea how all of that snow ended up around it.

Neither will we will we made! We won't tell!! The hide of those people!!!

It seems that this semester at uni is going to be challenging than ever before. It has been four weeks only and I have already been loaded with work to do. Oh well.

i succombed and went to the goodwill, i ended up buying the flintstones christmas carol for $2 this morning. Cheesy crazy christmas guy strikes again.

We are in Dunkin Donuts territory here, there was few Krispy Kremes not to far away about a decade ago, they didn't last though. To be honest, I did like Dunkin's donuts better than Krispy Kreme's.

We have Krispy Kremes in different cities and airports but they don't seem fresh. More like they are made off site and stored in a cool room. I've never had Dunkin Donuts. I'll look out for them.
