Hubby and my son worked so hard on the house today and made great progress! I went to the store to buy Kane lots of goodies to have in the trailer. It is only a small trailer, but it looks new and is clean. We had the bed ready for him, and we have electricity hooked up and the heat is on. He does have to come in to the house for showers and bathroom needs. They have the subflooring down and Hubby and son put down some plywood so I can now walk out the back "door" and not fall. I am really getting excited!

Sugar, I was reading a (thriller) book last night that mentioned a place in Pennsylvania: Roadside America in Shartlesville. I researched it and want to stop there when Hubby and I go across the US. Have you ever been?

Love to hear the progress coming on your kitchen.

I've never been there, but it looks so neat. DS especially would love it. He loves trains. It looks like it's about 3 hour drive from my house, which isn't bad at all. Maybe a day trip some day! Thanks for the info!

The shoveling is done, like I said it was about 13 inches, the good thing is it was light and fluffy. The weather people kept saying it was the heavy wet stuff. Now we just have to wait to see what this weekend beholds, according to Accuweather it could be either a light snow if it shifts one way, or a full fledged blizzard if it goes another. Let's hope it is just a light snow.

I have to go make my dinner, we got done late with the shoveling so it is a fend for yourself night, hello Red Baron pizza.

Back from work!
Started snowing here last night around 11pm, stopped snowing around 4pm this afternoon.
Now it is just cold and lots of white stuff everywhere.

It was a slow day at work with not many coming in because of the bad weather, makes for a long day. I prefer it be busy, the day goes much faster then.
It is so nice to be home and relax for awhile.

Did a quick read though here and see everyone make it though this snowy day. And those of you who had no snow, glad you made it through without.!

There are downloads out there, but I am not sure how good they are or how safe since I do not know anyone who has used them. How useful it would be for creating patterns! Fun, too!



I'm glad you made progress on your afghan! The ARAN heart afghan I am going to make for my sister for Christmas as I think it will take me a bit to do and I want to get Jenny's afghan to her asap. I'm getting close to starting the edging on the one I am currently working. I figure 4 more rounds which is approximately 3 hours of work yet ~ then the edging and weaving in the ends. Getting there!



I agree ~ crochet is fascinating. I bought a bunch of old Workbasket mags. from the 60's and I plan on making some of the sweaters that have stood the test of time ~ should be very interesting!

My mom used to get Workbasket when I was little. Now I wish I'd kept them! But I have so many free patterns from the Internet that I'll never make most of them. Doesn't keep me from collecting more, though!

Xmas, I'm glad you got light fluffy snow out your way. We didn't get as much as you, and our snow was on the wet side. Now we'll wait to see what the weekend storm turns out to be.

Good Morning MMC!!! It's a chilly day here with temps in the mid 20's. We ended up with about 11 inches of snow. So only about an inch more since I went out to shovel last night. The main problem I ran into this morning was the fact that I cleaned off mom's car last night when I shoveled and then we got the freezing rain. So it took me 45 minutes of scraping this morning to clear all of the ice off of her windows. Now I'm just waiting for the maintenance man to come through and plow so I can go out and dig out everyone's cars. The hot tub at the pines tonight is going to feel really good!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a chilly evening here. We are sitting at -2, with a low of
-17 tonight. I wish it would warm up some, already. The snow is pretty, at least!

I am so looking forward to the day off tomorrow, and sleeping in!!

What are you up to this evening?

I was at The Pines for a bit, it was a blast as always!!

Adi and I are watching tv and hanging out I front of the fireplace, very relaxing.

Well, he got stuck on the way to the station, and then a plow boxed him in, and then his car wouldn't restart. The police came by and are arranging to have him towed back home. Well, at least he'll be safe when he gets here. I think I hear him now!

Oh MerryCarey! I'm sorry to hear Mr. had such a bad morning. Glad to hear he made it home safely though.

He's home and safe. The police towed his car to a repair shop that was nearby and then brought him home. AAA is to tow the car from the repair shop to our home when they are available.

That's so great to hear he got help like that.

MerryCarey- Glad Mr is home safe!!! We've had 3 people stuck on our street alone this morning. I got 2 of them out but the third had to call his dad to come pull him out.
