Christmas Countdown - 2014

Been a couple of days since I came strolling through...been out due to weather and it's effects....we had ice come in Tuesday and then our town had power and travel issues today. Limbs, etc. all over the place.

I had so much fun staying with Little Bambina. Good times, good times. But I'm ready to get back to work! Hope y'all are doing good!

Good morning one and all!

Wow, what a day yesterday! We awoke to a half an inch of ice on top of a couple inches of snow. What a mess... trees and power lines down all over the place. We were one of the lucky ones who's power stayed on, there was over 40% of BGE's customers that were without power yesterday. BGE said that they will not be able to restore power to some people until this weekend.

We got up and car pooled today to work because Lisa is going to pick me back up at 12:30 and take me to the hospital. I'm scheduled to have outpatient surgery at 2:00 today and I wont be back here to work until next Tuesday. So an extended weekend for me to help recoup a bit, from what is awaiting me later this afternoon, lol...

Well, I guess it's time to actually start working, I check in again in a bit....

Hey everyone, now that I am caught up, I want to ask you all for some prayers for my family. DH's cousin hasn't been feeling well for the past couple weeks, so her husband took her to the doctor's today. They did a MRI of her head and found that she has a tumor. She also has several lumps in her neck. That's all we know as of right now - don't know if it's cancer or not. Her brother just went into remission from cancer about a year ago, so they've already really been through it - they're both in they're young 30's. She has 3 young children. So anyway, if you could, just keep her and us in your thoughts. Thanks.

Good morning! Staying at home today because the campus is closed due to industrial action. Thursday is usually a busy day for me but it have turned out to be a day off this week. ^^ I'm now listening to Christmas radio and going through forum posts while finishing my morning coffee. I will probably start working on one of my essays soon. (Although I would rather be reading a book and writing. Honestly, sometimes I feel that the subject I am studying is SO not me. I should have probably be doing literature & creative writing. Oh well.)

Good Morning, Under-A-Week-Away Friends.

And 'tis true, 'tis true.
We are in absolute fact less than a week off from Milestone #2 of the 2014 Christmas voyage, the one-quarter marker to the Season.

Days to the Season: 280
Days to Christmas Day: 322

Will these Milestones ever cease!
(I certainly hope not.)


Well, owing to the cloud cover yesterday, it didn't get as warm as predicted.
We had no further rain but it stayed quite damp all day.
Today should be dry but we will be back to more winter time temps.
Right now, we show 33 degrees on our back door indicator.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Guys.
And let that Christmas light shine as only we MMC citizens can!
