It's snowing again. We've got about a half inch already. Hopefully this little shower moves past us soon.

I hope you don't have to get the shovel out today! Just stay inside & enjoy watching it!

We had about 8 or 9 inches of snow yesterday. Our driveway was plowed out, but the town plow came by last night and left a ridge across the bottom of our driveway that we had to shovel out this morning. And once we got the snow off our cars, we had to shovel out around them. On the bright side, the snow is picturesque today because the sun is out and there's blue in the sky. They're calling for at least a little snow Sunday night, and maybe another storm next week. Enough already.

I finished that Aran Hearts afghan just before bed yesterday, so I haven't had a chance to take a picture yet. It came out well! At least the pattern pains don't show. Next I'm going to try a Yule Tree pillow pattern. If that goes well, I'll make the afghan as well.

How are the other afghans-in-progress coming, fellow crocheters?

Love the pillow AND the afghan! Can't wait to see a pic of yours! Enjoy the snow!!!

Good morning!
Well we are off to a cold and icy start this morning. At least the sun is out! I was watching the news this morning and they think the storm that is heading our way this weekend will be on the lighter side. We'll see what happens as it gets closer.
Typical day here of errands and chores. I am running low on the pet friendly ice melt and everyone seems to be sold out. I'm going to call a few more stores today. Then I need to run to the bank and pick up a birthday card for a friend. I also need to make a grocery list.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Hope you are enjoying your day & you were able to find ice melt!

Good afternoon MMC! Happy Freezin Friday Eve!!!! It was 4º this morning - supposed to be -4º tomorrow morning! When I came back from lunch we were up to a whopping 15º! Heat wave!!! It has been snowing all day! Not an accumulating snow, just a fully flurry to heavier at times. It's a nice surprise as no snow was predicted! BUT we do have snow in the forecast 6 out of the next 10 days!

I worked on Charlie's blankie last night. I probably could have finished it but Buster decided he wanted to take a little nap on it! HA! He always wants to curl up in the afghan I'm working on...he does have his own! ;-) Hopefully tonight I can finish it!

I'm hoping to read some posts here before quitting time! Hope you are all having an awesome day!!!

Stay warm, girl! Enjoy the snow, but drive safe!!

Buster is too cute & sweet!! Hope you can finish Charlie's blankie tonight!

Bundle up good if you go out! You are braver than me!!! ENJOY your chilly day!!!

I did, and it was still pretty miserable, HA!
The wind was blowing quite hard, and I couldn't feel my hands, feet, or face when I got home. Bless Harlowe's heart, I don't know how she can even do her business in that kind of cold, wind, and snow. They are little survivors.

Hope you're having a wonderful day!!

xx

Hey everyone, now that I am caught up, I want to ask you all for some prayers for my family. DH's cousin hasn't been feeling well for the past couple weeks, so her husband took her to the doctor's today. They did a MRI of her head and found that she has a tumor. She also has several lumps in her neck. That's all we know as of right now - don't know if it's cancer or not. Her brother just went into remission from cancer about a year ago, so they've already really been through it - they're both in they're young 30's. She has 3 young children. So anyway, if you could, just keep her and us in your thoughts. Thanks.

Sending prayers up! Hope it all turns out fine!

Oh man! That sounds miserable!!! Glad you are home safe again & well - at least you can say you went out & did it! I agree - I'm not sure how them animals can handle going out in that cold. It's definitely tougher on Buster now, but it his younger years it didn't phase him a bit! Crazy!

I am sitting here watching some DVR'd shows, folding laundry, and catching up on my magazines. I was just reading the latest HGTV issue, and they have an article on how towns got their unique names.

One of them is Santa Claus, IN!
It reads "It's been Christmas in this town since the early 1850's, when a gust of wind blew open church doors during a Christmas Eve meeting to name the town. Understandably, the children believed it was Santa Claus..."

How cool is that?! LOVE it!

LOL!!

I know Harlowe would rather have warmer winter weather, but she still loves it. Wants to get out & play in that fresh snow!!

Hugs to Buster!!

:-P

*Awesome* story!!

You KNOW I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers. I read a horrible statistic last night that cancer occurrences will increase 57% within the next few years! That is SO scary! I pray I never have to go through it again!

Hubby has done all the measurements for the remodeled kitchen/den and has decided that we have to get a 70-inch screen to be able to see it in the new area! He already has it picked out!

Are you up for watching Jimmy on the big screen???
