The bad news is that the overseas postage would be a deal-breaker: a crocheted afghan in a 14"x14"x14" box weighs about 15 pounds, give or take a few ounces. According to the USPS postage calculator, sending one to Australia would cost about US$190!

Oh, that is a bummer!

Goodnight MMC ~ merry dreams!

Hi all!

I have been a little busy with my little Chico. He has a heart condition and ran into some problems last week. He has been to the vet twice this week. He has made a little improvement but we just have to keep an eye on him. He goes back to the vet next week for a check up. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks!

In other news, we got some snow yesterday and might get more next week. I am so happy!

I am excited about the Olympics!!! I hope Shaun White gets another gold!!!

I am going to try and read a few post before I go finish up some chores.

Poor little Chico. Hope he gets better soon.

I just got to thinking but some of those from other countries might not get this one but it's a spoof of a popular commercial here in the USA.

This cute little dog has this guys attitude down! =)

This guy here in the commercial - he always says "I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis."

Thanks. :)

Was everyone from Lithuania just dressed like Buddy the Elf?

I missed it - darn! I have lost some interest! USA will be on soon though!

That is so nice of them to invite your youngest on the trips.
If you find a swimsuit, be sure to complain that it is waaaaay to soon to be selling swimsuits. Let us enjoy the winter without throwing summer in our faces. cheesy

If they have swimsuits out this early then I think they should have Christmas in the stores by July!

They do at Hobby Lobby! Actually they start putting Christmas stuff out in late June! =) You should see the complaints they get about it too. Pathetic!

You are right and I forgot about that. I love the display of stuff they put out! Hobby Lobby is awesome.

I keep seeing the Reese's peanut butter eggs, Cadbury creme eggs, and small bags of Cadbury mini eggs, no big honking bags of the mini eggs yet. :-?

We were at the supermarket this evening. The center (seasonal) aisle of the store was full of Valentine's Day chocolates and gifts, plus some Easter chocolate. Between the pharmacy and the bakery were shelves full of Easter candy. I agree---when Christmas items hit the shelves more than two months before Christmas, everybody hollers, but there's no media fuss about Easter candy being sold more than two months before Easter! Time to do away with that double standard! If Valentine's and Easter items can be sold side by side with no complaint, so should Halloween and Christmas items!
