It's kinda hard to wake up in the morning after a long weekend. ^^ Anyway, heading to uni in few minutes for a seminar and after that to the library to hopefully do some work on the essay.

Merry Morning!

It is raining. Still raining. Storm after Storm for some. There has not been so much rain since records began a couple hundred years ago and there is still more rain to come. The devastation caused by flooding for a lot of people is so tragic. The extreme weather around the world is really something isn't it!

I hope you all are coping through whatever weather you are having.

Good morning!
I'm having my coffee and watching the news. They are still having a hard time figuring out what this storm is going to do on Thursday. The rain/snow border looks like it's right over Long Island. If it's all snow it looks like we will get a foot. They have to watch it closely over the next couple of days. It is cold out there right now, we are currently at 10 degrees and will have a high of 25.
The dogs have a groomer appointment this morning. I feel like I was just there, I can't believe how fast the time goes by. I am going to the supermarket while they are at the groomer. I guess I should stock up on a few things just in case we end up getting all snow on Thursday. Not too much else going on, just my daily chores.

Hey everyone!

We finally got our snow. A little past Christmas maybe but it showed up!! 1-2 inches today with maybe 3-5 inches tomorrow At least I have my bread, milk, and hot tea!

We have been a bit busy with our little dog, Chico. He has been to the vet 3 times in one week. He is having problems with his heart. He still eats, drinks, follows me around the house and seems happy but we are just trying to get fluids off his belly which is serious. I just have to pray his medication starts working!

With all that going on I have actually lost interest in the Olympics. That is very unusual for me because I love the Olympics! I was really looking forward to watching them but cannot focus on it right now - just been so busy with Chico.

Okay, I must keep merry thoughts in my mind! =)

Now for some cheery news!

The other day Wayne and I was at the store looking for a greeting card for a friend of mine. Our 4 year old granddaughter was standing next to us "reading" greeting cards out loud. She said, " Santa, I hope you have a good day, just don't ruin it". Wayne and I started laughing and looked at the card. It just so happen to be a retirement card!!! I said, "Nooooo, Santa cannot retire"!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's just a bit chilly here this morning with a temp of -11 right now on our way up to a high of 15 today. Not to much going on here again today. Just waiting for Mark, Jose, and Jose to show up again. I also have some laundry to get done. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Shirley Temple Black, died at her home near San Francisco at age 85 last night.
She was a great actress with many movies until age 21.
Her husband passed away just a few months ago so this is a difficult time for her whole family.

I saw this on the news this morning, it's so sad. I've always enjoyed her movies. I had one of the original Shirley Temple dolls from the early 70's, she was in her red polka dot dress. I gave it my girls to play with when they were younger, I haven't seen it in a long time. It's definitely in the house somewhere.

Same here---as of this morning, it looks like the rain/snow line may fluctuate over our area during the storm. I'll be checking the forecasts for updates today and tomorrow.

She was also a delegate to the United Nations, and a U.S. ambassador. I remember reading that she once had an ambition to be a pediatrician, but she imagined that parents might not want their children's doctor to be Shirley Temple!

There was a wonderful sound bite on the radio this morning. On the occasion of her receiving the Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006, she offered her advice to those who would aspire to the same award: "Start early!"
