That's funny b/c I've heard it pronounced & always thought it was pronounced "U" "Claire"! I learned something new today! :D

The Eau = O is a French pronunciation. If I remember the tiny bit of high school French I had, Eau Claire translates to "Clear Water."

Good Tuesday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

It's been another busy day at work, and this is my first chance to post. Other than work, there's not much happening. It was 78° just a moment ago, and it's supposed to get into the 80's for the next couple days. What a difference from last week!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

It is funny. I learned how to pronouce 'eau' from a cartoon as a child many years ago when the gag was about 'eau de cologne' and as a voracious reader when books were sprinkled with what I always thought was French (I'm linguistically challenged unfortunately).

;)

I MISSED YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Wow... I have no idea how in the world I'm going to catch up. ROFL

Let's see spent the better part of January mobile with little reception. Got back to my house around 12:30am on Wednesday night (technically Thursday morning) on the 23rd. Got up at 6am with the intention of immediately dropping off my dogs at the boarding place and heading to the east coast of Florida with my son for his competiton. Ended up not leaving till nearly 8:30pm because the construction guy finishing the bathroom didn't finish on time and then broke the kitchen sink. No I don't know how. LOL

Competition that weekend, got back on Tuesday the 28th and shut myself up in my studio to engrave for 5 days straight for an exhibit in Oklahoma that had to be shipped on Monday the 3rd.

As soon as that was done I started writing new coding and rebuilding our company so we can dissolve from partner. Did that till Thursday the 6th, back out of town for more competitions, got back on Tuesday the 11th, more work on company and then left again this past Thursday the 13th for competition and just walked back in the door about 30 minutes ago.

I should hopefully have all the corporate transfers, rebuilds and legal things finished this week - I hope.

Another competition this weekend, but Noah is staying with friends in Palm City for that who also are on the same circuit. Very grateful for them and the friendship. :-)

Competition again Feb 28 - March 3rd and I will be going to that one. Have some more shows coming up in April for glassware and a wedding, but hey I have the whole month of March for that! :-D

I'm super excited because I just learned about 2 hours ago that the company my husband works with managed to get him a week off in March so he'll get to fly home!!! They've never done this before. Normally he doesn't get to come home till mid summer.

Hope everyone is well and blessed and I'll be catching up as I go. I started working on some Christmas designs for a Christmas in July show this year. It's almost March!!! *bouncy happy* I can faintly hear the sleigh bells of Christmas 2014!!

Welcome back, graywolf! I'm so glad everything is all right with you and yours and that Bud is going to be able to fly home in March ~ that news had to make your day! Good luck with the shows!

Boo!

That's what we are hearing, too. Warming up for a bit, but next week having highs in the single digits, and snow!

Sounds like what is headed our way, too!

I'll trade you! We have more snow today, and I'm tired of it! There are huge, ugly, dirty gray and brown piles of it everywhere, it seems.

I came home before the snow gets too bad, so I'm working from home the rest of the day. I felt a little sheepish about it, but I live west of my workplace, where the snow is supposed to be worse. I'm happy to be here, even though I have to keep an eye on email from the office instead of enjoying myself.

The snow has fallen at just the right times that there hasn't been a whole lot of the ugly stuff visible here this winter. Rather nice, that! I'm glad you are home safe!

Hello to all! Hope everyone is good. Uni has been very busy lately and it seems to me that this remaining week as well as the next week are going to be very occupied. I have two big assessments to hand in during that time but after that things will go easier I guess.

I also applied for a job position at the amazing tea lounge close to my home. It seems they had many applicants because that place is truly amazing and it makes sense that so many people would like to work there. Anyway, I have the interview there tomorrow evening. I hope it will go okey because I have been looking for a part-time job for quite a long time now. I have applied to many different places so it might be my chance now. Fingers crossed. ^^

Best wishes!

Good luck with the job interview and the assessments! I hope you have a merry week, Victoria!

Good afternoon, MMC!

The snow started falling just before it night fell yesterday and by 10:00 pm there was a little over 5 inches on the porch. There isn't much room to put what fell, so I did not shovel last night, only swept off the porch and stairs. Hopefully things will melt a bit in the next few days. Right now it looks like the house is surrounded by gently sloping hills ~ gorgeous!

I have chores to do and a few things I want to bake if there is time. Testing recipes for Christmas ~ fun stuff!

Be safe and MERRY!

Ditto for me, only got about an inch and a half of snow out of it. I didn't even clean the car, I jumped in it and let the breezes due it's stuff, lol. I heard late last night, that it's supposed to start warming up after this clipper fully passes and by this Friday, they are saying we could see 60 degrees....(WHAT???). I haven't seen 60 degrees since....last year~

We are really crunching around here at the office, with a lot of projects all due at the same time, where we didn't get out of here until 10pm last night. I've about 5 projects all due at various times within the next several weeks, everything always seems to hit all at once; Feast or Famine, it's the nature of this business....

I've got contractors working at my house as well, (getting our shower in the master Bedroom re-done - it was leaking at the drain pan), they got the entire thing completely gutted yesterday and today, they should start the new work. I love seeing things come together....

Can you believe that after this weekend, there's really, only one more week left in February and before you know it, we will be into March already...WoW, it's almost time to start planning the Christmas in July party!!!:rudolph:

Well, here's wishing everyone a good day today.... And remember, Monday's over, the rest of the week can't be all that bad...

busy busy busy! At least you will get bored for while.
60f ! WOW, that's like above zero! I think I remember what that feel like.

Good morning, MMC family!!

How is your weather forecast looking today?

We still have some flurries coming down, but the sun is supposed to come out later, with a high in the 30's! Yay!!

Today is my day off, I am so happy about that. It was nice to sleep in until 7:00 am. I have some appointments later, and Valerie is on, and with the temps warming up, it's going to be a fabulous day!

((Hugs)) and prayers to all~

:rudolph:
it was snowing and blowing, school buses cancelled morning looking grey and dismal. By 1 pm the sun came out, temps went all the way up to -2c and it was actually nice if you stayed out of the wind.
Hope you are enjoying your day off and got everything done.

Thanks! Happily, we just got plowed out! We were expecting 3 to 6 inches, and our plow guy says we got 6 or 7. The heavier bands of snow came right through our area. From all the storms we've had in the past two weeks, there must be nearly 2 feet of snow in the yard!

Now the temps are supposed to go up to about 40 tomorrow, and we'll be getting some rain. That's going to be some mess!

Sometimes the sun changes everything!! :)

Hope it starts to warm up for you guys.

We will be warm for a few days, but then cooling down again next week.

I am having a great day off, thanks! Got all of my errands ran, and am looking forward to a nice big meal.

Hope you have a wonderful evening!

Enjoy the warm up!!

It's a mess here today, snow is starting to melt, but loving the sunshine & warmer temps.

I was able to wash the salt off my car for the first time in a couple months!
