I do have another story to tell about my son-in-law on a moving job of meeting a famous person.

He was moving for a mansion here in Dallas and a neighbor across the street came over to visit the people moving and started talking to my son-in-law. My son-in-law just kept working answering to him, "yes sir" "no sir" and making small talk. Then my son-in-law said the guy was kinda of getting in his way and starting messing with him on purpose. He finally asked my son-in-law, "Do you know who I am"? His co-workers started laughing because they knew who he was and my son-in-law told him no he didn't know who he was. He said, "Do you know who the Eagles are"? My son-in-law replied back, "The Beatles"? He started laughing and corrected him telling him the Eagles. My son-in-law told him he never heard of them. Well, the guy talking to him was Don Henley of the Eagles! He lives right here in Dallas. My son-in-law still has NO CLUE who Don Henley is or the Eagles! He's young though. I about flipped out when he told me!!! I love the Eagles!!! I found out he shops at Whole Foods where we go sometimes but have yet to see him there.

I didn't even realized Don Henley lived here until my son-in-law met him. I looked it up and sure enough, he has a house here!

I say good on your son for not giving into Henley's ego, being polite and trying to do the job he was being paid for! Just because people are famous doesn't mean they should expect special treatment.

I am now listening to some Spanish music of my use-to-be favourite Spanish boy band. I haven't listened to them for a very long time but it's nice to know that I still remember most of songs' lyrics. ^^

Won't stay up late tonight too because I like waking up early in the morning without alarm clock.

I read and read and read. Sometimes I have a slump when nothing I choose keeps my interest especially when I read out of my normal genre. I envy your shopping for books!!!! Love cracking open a new read!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Nancy's mom has been really sick with a stomach virus, so much so that they put her in the hospital overnight for fluids. Nancy stayed with her, and she's feeling much better today, but I didn't get much sleep without my wife last night. *yawn*

It's yet another beautiful day here in Bellville, sunny and approaching 86° this afternoon! It's supposed to moderate back into the 70's after today, thankfully.

Good morning!
It is going to be partly sunny with a high of 45 degrees today. It would be a great day to wash my car except its going to rain tomorrow. The cold weather will return next week and we may be getting more snow Tuesday in to Wednesday.
Typical day of errands and chores today. My daughter has a hair appointment later this afternoon. I will also be working on a menu plan and grocery list. I can't believe tomorrow is Friday already, this week flew by. I may take a ride to Barnes and Noble, I still have a gift card from Christmas that I'm trying to spend. I haven't been reading too much lately. I use to read a lot at night but I fall asleep now every time I open a book. Maybe I'll go look at the cookbooks.

I just made an appointment for Gracie at a new vet for Monday afternoon. We have never had a dog that needed to be groomed before, so this will be interesting. Our neighbors go to this vet & they just love them there! So we are going to give it a try. I just don't love the vet office we take Buster too. They are mostly nice enough, it's convenient - on my way to work - but I just don't love it there. The new vet specializes in small animals - our current vet also does horse/cow/pig, etc. It's a much larger business. I dunno - we'll see how it goes!

I watched a little bit of Valerie on QVC the other night & thought of you guys. Especially when the mercury glass was on!

We're getting into the busy season around here again: selling Girl Scout cookies, going to birthday parties, planning our vacation time. School is now out of snow days, so we're ready for spring!

I don't think Valerie will ever tire of mercury glass! Haha!!

We are ready for warmer weather & spring, too!
