Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Nancy's mom has been really sick with a stomach virus, so much so that they put her in the hospital overnight for fluids. Nancy stayed with her, and she's feeling much better today, but I didn't get much sleep without my wife last night. *yawn*

It's yet another beautiful day here in Bellville, sunny and approaching 86° this afternoon! It's supposed to moderate back into the 70's after today, thankfully.

Good morning!
It is going to be partly sunny with a high of 45 degrees today. It would be a great day to wash my car except its going to rain tomorrow. The cold weather will return next week and we may be getting more snow Tuesday in to Wednesday.
Typical day of errands and chores today. My daughter has a hair appointment later this afternoon. I will also be working on a menu plan and grocery list. I can't believe tomorrow is Friday already, this week flew by. I may take a ride to Barnes and Noble, I still have a gift card from Christmas that I'm trying to spend. I haven't been reading too much lately. I use to read a lot at night but I fall asleep now every time I open a book. Maybe I'll go look at the cookbooks.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a warm day here with a high near 60. We are also going to get a lot of rain. We've already had one line move through early this morning with lots of thunder. The heaviest stuff isn't supposed to get here until about 7pm though. They are saying the winds could get nasty. We are also going to see a lot of flooding. Then the cold air is back tomorrow and all of it's going to freeze and turn the city into a giant skating rink. Not much going on for me today. Just have to do dishes and figure out what to make for dinner. The rest of the day is going to be spent watching Nascar coverage. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good morning!

Aww...Ella's really been loving all over me the past day or so, as she always does, but extra for some reason. She takes to me the most. She actually had to go to the groomer today, which I feel bad about, because she hates it there, but at least she will be getting a bath and a hair cut for her special day!

I just made an appointment for Gracie at a new vet for Monday afternoon. We have never had a dog that needed to be groomed before, so this will be interesting. Our neighbors go to this vet & they just love them there! So we are going to give it a try. I just don't love the vet office we take Buster too. They are mostly nice enough, it's convenient - on my way to work - but I just don't love it there. The new vet specializes in small animals - our current vet also does horse/cow/pig, etc. It's a much larger business. I dunno - we'll see how it goes!

I just made an appointment for Gracie at a new vet for Monday afternoon. We have never had a dog that needed to be groomed before, so this will be interesting. Well our current vet is about 2 minutes from our house, our new vet will be about 8 minutes -MAYBE 10. :lol: So we can't complain about that. But quality of care & if you are comfortable with them is huge, so 30 minutes is not bad at all either! Well worth it if you love it there! :smile:

We're getting into the busy season around here again: selling Girl Scout cookies, going to birthday parties, planning our vacation time. School is now out of snow days, so we're ready for spring!

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your kinds words of my little doggy Chico's passing. My family gathered with me that day to help me through the grief and took me out to dinner. I just love them all so much and thankful I have such a wonderful family who were there to comfort me!

I woke up in the middle of the night on the first night Chico passed away and felt sad, Wayne couldn't sleep either thinking about him. As always, I run for Christmas for therapy during sad times. We popped in the movie, Christmas Vacation, and watched that until we fell back to sleep.

I still feel very sad but just taking it one day at a time and moving forward. We have Christmas 2014 to look forward to!

I hope you all have had a Merry Day!

Oh man! We are expecting more freezing rain & sleet, and now we're expecting 10-12 inches. Blowing & drifting snow, 1-2 inches per hour starting this afternoon, and they are calling it the biggest storm of the season. Extended through tomorrow evening.

Hope they are on top of it with the plows for once!
